  1. welcome to the pride of nottingham @Morten Johansen, pon is a very good site. join in when you can.
  2. i am pleased with how the club is giving luther munakandafa the time in cup games, i would like to see him make his league debut. he just needs confidence and people behind him, encouraging him to focus and work hard. he seems a good player, just lacking that needed belief in his own ability. i am thankful that luke williams is sending the right message to the youngsters we have, he just needs to implement a path way for them to come in when we can afford to give them minutes.
  3. i do think the coaching setup notts currently has is the best i have seen, the reedtz brothers seem to understand that spending money in this area will yield results. its something that luke williams clearly appreciates and feels is important. the players also seem to enjoy it, which i can imagine constant running drills could become tiring. its very impressive with how we are physically focused on the players fitness.
  4. i think they will try to be tight and compact, potentially parking the bus at times. its something they have done against good teams, i watched their match against doncaster rovers and the issue in that game was their lack of focus. either side were all that impressive but doncaster did enough on goal to win the game 2-1. it was a very late decider for rovers, so fgr will feel hard done by to lose that game. i always feel teams in poor form will look at a club like notts who are in a healthy position and want to cause an upset. notts should be fine but i think the score line will reflect a difficult game, with plenty of chances but a narrow result in the end. @magpiejue it would be nice if we could get our first 4-0 or 5-0 win of the season, those are always things that give a promotion chasing team a boost.
  5. aaron collins played for them and us.
  6. matt palmer is my favourite player notts has signed before luke williams arrival to the club, hes just class and i echo my comments on the bbc. they are producing some brilliant articles for us notts fans. i appreciate the work david jackson is doing.
  7. good article on the comments from luke williams, the bbc are doing a good job with their coverage for notts now that we are back in the efl.
  8. the german league has a couple of teams who i hope do well, so i do wish underdogs like heidenheim well.
  9. hes a very classy player, who can make things happen without having to always look. he can take one glance, put his head down and he knows exactly what is needed. he has goals, assists and the forward drive to help his team win games. by far the best signing and the way hes going, he will be named the player of the season!
  10. neil warnock has earned his retirement, good luck with him if he does. if he decides to keep managing, i wish him the same.
  11. same boat, i know hes a politician and i think hes a lib dem but other than that i know nothing about him.
  12. i always appreciate the words of what luke williams has to say, i think he speaks sense and very rarely says anything that makes you wonder if there is more to it. he speaks very openly and honestly.
  13. i think its normal with so many changes that there will be struggles, we are a league two team and if we could adapt much better i think it would show we are at a higher level.

    FA Cup

chester beat tedcatser albion 3-1. its a good result for them, it would be good to see them make the round where we enter.
  15. the performances are coming along nicely, it would be nice to see some of the youngesters make their way into the team even for 15 minutes near the end but we have to do it in a controlled way imo. i think luther just needs confidence and if we can give him some minutes, it should come with time.
  16. early signs are good, i do agree and the performances keep getting better. on paper we certainly do have one of the strongest squads and its down to us to make sure we get the points needed to continue our good form. it helps that virtually everyone in the squad is getting behind the great support us fans are showing. this must make a huge difference when playing, even if it just takes the edge of the nervous going into a game. before signing anyone, i felt like notts could compete in this league. the signings we have made give us a lot of depth and quality. i think if we can maintain this fight of going top of the league come christmas, we should most certainly be in another promotion battle.
  17. great little fact, it would be good if it could be clarified and proved to be true/100% correct.
  18. they have had a terrible start to the season, i cant see them doing any better than playoffs now and that is if they manage to turn things around. i am not sure what is going on with the club but they are not very stable right now.
  19. it was a superb header, from a very good cross which could not have been any better. the ground angle does catch the quickness in which we moved into position to create the chance. also, macaulay langstaffs effort which almost went in. it was very unlucky! dan crowleys goal, he showed a lot of awareness to skilfully move beyond the last defender, tucking the ball into the back of the net.
  20. i drove to salford on friday with @CliftonMagpie, meeting up with @TheSkipper at the ground. it was another decent away day, but i felt packed in, in their stands and i wished i could have had a seat about half way into the game. having worked earlier in the day, it was a bit too much to stand for 90 minutes but the result was worth it. saturday i went out playing pokemon go for a bit, before going for a drink with my dad and uncle. sunday, i helped my mum do her weekly shopping and then had sunday dinner with mum, my aunt and my other uncle.
  21. could you imagine rotherham united still being known as 'merry millers'.
  22. welcome to pon @Benji
  23. @Piethagoram i was standing near to where i can tell your picture was taken, i did not see @Chris but i noticed @ARLukomski a few times. about half way into the game, i wished i could have sat down. it was a nice experience to stand but i am not sure i can do it again on the same day as i work. thought our fans were great, even the chants to the former united players made me laugh.
  24. salford city are a very difficult one but i remember when they expressed interest in elliott hewitt.
