the transfer deadline is fast approaching now, its going to be interesting to see if notts gets their man or not. we might have other targets as mentioned, so we will see. i personally did not think we would but with the rumour of keeley i think the board do want to strengthen the defence.

the contributions by everyone has been amazing, i am pleased to see such support and i hope we can grow further in strength.

but if the money that comes in for him, could be used by the club to play some additional players wages, split into two signings or even one marquee signing their struggles could be narrowed down. i would guess notts are offering between 20-40k for his services. that could be used to strengthen their side, rather than losing a player for free. its a very notts approach to business. with wootton and rodrigues leaving on frees, despite clubs have been interested and speculated to have had offers made for them during a season.

i dont know why, but i really feel sam austin would do well against them if given the chance. something in my mind is saying that he will score and make it difficult for accrington, tho i dont see luke williams actually starting him even with cedwyn scott's injury, i think he will be on the bench and the formation similar to what we have seen recently. stone rawlinson brindley cameron nemane palmer bostock jones crowley mcgoldrick langstaff the team really does write itself, but i would be tempted to put mcgoldrick on the bench for austin, two reasons, firstly because when they tire he will be a huge threat and secondly because austin likes to find that space inside the oppositions half where teams put multiple players on to mark him. this is why i feel he could score, as he likes this type of game. only time will tell.

york city have a lot to do to regain their football league status, how long have they been out of the league? i remember them in fifa 17 i think. the clubs just not looked a team that can compete with the bigger teams falling down. i am not surprised to see their manager go but i think clubs should give more time.

i really like connell rawlinson, i think sometimes people can be too critical long term of minor mistakes because overall he has shown that hes a very good defender. yet to hear some fans talk, its like hes richard diffy! [just for you @Chris]. when he scored, i felt so pleased for rawlinson and i hope he continues to defy those who write him off.

its good to see jodi jones being called up, he deserves it and i hope he does well.

what a game that would have been, where leicester city a big club back then? i hope we can get back to playing teams like derby, leicester etc. it would be good for meadow lane and notts in general.

i did not even have to think twice about donating, i hope others support this. its easy to forget all the hard work that goes into this and i dont doubt that the merch helps at times but cant be solely expected to raise the money needed to keep the pride of nottingham afloat. lets support this if you can spare some change, lets keep pon going and help fund its future.

hes not going anywhere, why would he? all of what he says in his interviews speaks highly of what he thinks about our club, the fans and the players hes coaching. the fact he considering himself to be lucky to have such a talented squad makes me doubt he would move to just anyone. when luke williams does move on, it will be to a team that has had their manager poached themselves or at a point where we are no longer showing signs of improvements. it really does my head in when people start going on about things that has not happened and most likely wont. yes, he will be linked to jobs. i could be, it does not mean anything until thing start to happen.

i completely agree with this, notts were very dominate until cedwyn scott had to go off. that changed the game, i dont think tranmere would have scored otherwise. i do think they would have tried, but i dont think they would have found the space. i also believe that their player handled the ball before he shot to which aidan stone saved. its what it is, i do hope luke williams hangs back on making all 5 changes. this is probably done to give more players minutes but also to avoid unnecessary added time being awarded.

momentum is building nicely, it would be good if we can start keeping some clean sheets as that lifts performances naturally within itself. i dont mean yesterday, that could not be helped but doncaster and certainly other games we should be trying to keep the goals out. i think the sutton game has become a turning point, in that the club did not want to fall short of the standards that luke williams has set. if we can maintain this level of form, we will be in a shout for promotion come the end of the season. issue is there is much that can change. mansfield are unlucky to have such injury issues within their camp, god for bid that happens to us. as we would struggle even with our depth to replace some of the key players we have in our team. if we took out palmer, bostock, jones, langstaff we would not be as strong imo.

i agree with @Elite_pie and @CliftonMagpie. @Super_Danny_Allsopp there was contact on him, i have not seen the highlights but i did think the issue was the way he went down. if he went down more naturally, it might have been given but he did go to ground as if he was forcing it or trying to convince the referee.

no football panel or live game should ever use him to analyse things, as if he cant do his former job right as a referee. how biased could he be on refereeing segments. i dont think someone who breaks what his role is to support a friend or even someone he works with, it just goes against why hes doing the job in the first place.

i wonder what their fans think of the situation? as an outsider it does seem crazy, with it still being early days but they have not started well. it makes you wonder if there has been a falling out between him and the players. they are better than were they are but i think he should have been given longer.

did he paint it as the match was ending? it seems a bit of a weird thing for the club to permit. the art is fantastic, really nice but i have seen similar things to this in the past where people just use a photo for the reference and dont actually consume much space. i can see him sitting there right near the end paining on a canvas in the potential way of other fans view. but as i say its a nice bit of art.

out of everyone who had a chance to score, you would never have guessed that connell rawlinson would be the person to pop up and win the game for notts. he has been very good this season, not without problems but he has come back from each of those earlier challenges he faced. continuing to show why hes an important part of this notts squad.

it was a very good team performance, when the crowd are really behind a game its hard not to join in with the chants. i thought everything that notts did on the pitch was just incredible, all the players performed well. even when going down to 10 men we still looked like we could score, but did have a few concerns from tranmere but that made the win just a lot sweeter.

@menzinho i fully agree with you. the chances that could have gone in was not missed or through a lack of effort, it was quite unlucky. in the second half when the ball bounced around the inside of the goal, probably not fully crossing the line but how that was not put into the back of the net, i dont know. it seems we had some strange forces going on that prevented notts from going for in the lead. its probably that notts effect we all dread. the thing that keeps things stressfu.
