  1. does anyone have any ideas on what they think forced cedwyn scott to go off? it was definitely his knee, luke williams confirmed this. also, is anyone concerned about the injury itself? i am sure scott will be okay, but hes such a good asset for the club any extended length out of the team would be gutting to see. we do have junior morias who can come in, but its not looking good.
  2. the team spirit was amazing today, it felt like such a big win and to see it out with 10 men it makes it all the more enjoyable. i thought tranmere were poor, okay going forward but there for the taking defensively. credit to them for their excellent goal, their fans made some noise. i am sure they will start picking up points. i am just delighted with how we played, so many positives.
  3. 1-0, notts has started well. a few good chances already. the score could easily be 2-0 by now and its only 17 minutes in. langstaff almost on target, tranmere look poor at the back.
  4. i am very excited about the game today, i think if notts can start of brightly they can keep tranmere rovers at bay. it should be a good game regardless, so hopefully aidan stone can play a big role in todays outcome.
  5. i cant think of anymore that have not been mentioned, some older fans may have more look as surely there are more from before the 90s?
  6. @Joshua probably to access players easier for their european clubs, i cant see the reasoning behind it otherwise. they are a company that want to make money, not waste it on owning football teams.
  7. i am just looking forward to having a quiet weekend, i have been very busy with work and it will be nice to just unwind. i dont plan on going out on sunday, i will just sit back and relax. i am going to the match tomorrow but that is to be expected. i am looking forward to it. i hope everyone else enjoys their weekend.
  8. its more in keeping with notts, instead of holding the rugby shaped ball.
  9. agreed, i would prefer a cb than a dm. we need someone who can improve the mistakes at the back in that area, not someone in midfield. i think there is numerous players who could fill in that role if needed. we are playing players who were used to be wider in cb, so it makes sense to get someone in who is stronger naturally in this area. problem is, is there someone out there we can afford and is better than what we have?
  10. its one of the sitcoms i always look out for when i am home, its usually always on gold at night. i am not sure what series or episodes i have seen, but i will be watching out for the re-run of the first season.
  11. @magpiejue @Fan of Big Tone robin chipperfield was okay, i cant stand the other guy though. i have always wished he would move to australia.
  12. i have watched all of tranmere rovers games so far, they seem to fall a part when their defence is pressured. i hope we can maintain the ball, as it would benefit us when trying to control the game. i know they have a lot of strengths, but i think we should be able to cause them far more problems. we just need to remain alert at the back, its going to be a very important game, so hopefully we can prove ourselves against them by winning the game.
  13. i think richard brindley does well in the centre of the 3, he looks very comfortable. i do still like him on the right, but i think as a back three hes best in the middle. if we ever needed cover, i would be interested to see how he does on the right wing. when we played with a right back, i always preferred brindley.
  14. Coventry City 2-0 Sunderland Millwall 1-3 Stoke City Exeter City 2-2 Reading Lincoln City 1-0 Blackpool Bradford City 2-0 Crewe Alexandra joker Walsall 1-1 Grimsby Town Boreham Wood 0-1 Oldham Athletic Ebbsfleet United 0-0 Kidderminster Harriers
  15. i think its horrible the position they are in, we have been there and the point deduction wont effect them too badly fingers crossed. i wish them well, i hope southend manages to get their own out of the club.
  16. i remember the discussion from the poncast when kevin nolan was in charge and the football was not pretty, but we got wins. fans mentioned that winning was all that matters, now that we are playing some good football and winning, if it does not meet those standard even after a victory its labelled 'boring'. at the end of the day, for me its about where we are going, are we improving and is our league position reflecting the ambition of the club? luke williams is doing an incredible job, i have never known notts to be like this and the fans who sing relentlessly at games are making a huge differece.
  17. i should be clearer with what i mean at times, i understand where you are coming from. i mean notts fans who may wish harm on them just so we can do better. i think thats wrong, not wanting the rules to be upheld. sorry for not being clearer.
  18. i love how the langstaff story is snuck in, there is quite a bit of news here to digest. i am not surprised that afc wimbledon have sold out their allocation. i hope some of those youtubers dont get hold of geninue fans tickets, because that can be annoying when they all rock up at a fixture where they dont care about the outcome and just go for the views. also, i feel sorry for morecambe and their situation.
  19. notts are in a good position with being at home, meadow lane has been rocking so far and an early start to the game could yield its rewards. i know its often said but an early goal would make all the difference. it would settle us down quite nicely, i just want us to make sure we put in a strong performance and creative enough to mix the play. tranmere look like they struggle with teams are not reliant on one style of play. our possession play could be the main difference, especially if we use it well.
  20. @Piethagoram we have been in the position where our previous owners have not paid wages to the staff, where notts have not been punished. i recall twice this happening under alan hardy. the clubs staff were messed around for months to my knowledge. i agree points should be docked if that is the ruling has been given, without the suspension but i cant help but feel lucky.
  21. kristian dennis and kane hemmings.
  22. yeah, i agree with you. i think away from home is where the performance will mostly dip at times but that is to be expected.
  23. welcome to pon, @Sir Magpie.
  24. @NottsCountyKev fawlty towers i have seen all the episodes as my dad would put them on. i think there was only two short seasons?
  25. i have only seen a few a few episodes of some mothers do ave em but i do like michael crawford in it. i should check how much it costs on dvd, provided it is on dvd and you can buy the boxset.
