  1. its great to see him given a deal, i thought he had signed a professional deal before he made his debut but i am pleasantly surprised to learn this was not the case. it makes his debut a bit more special and no doubt james sanderson has worked hard to earn this. i am very pleased for him, well done james!
  2. i cant place barry davies accent, he sounds like an australian trying talk like a posh englishman. first goal was unlucky, second with the penalty quite clumsy.
  3. whatever the reason hes going to regret making the decision and if there is any real justice he will pay with time. its a silly thing to do.
  4. its good to see brits doing well in sports, @Robbie you are better than watching the news. it cuts out the negatives and scaremongering that the news shows.
  5. dead parrot was very funny and because of @super_ram having shared the monty python sketch of the dead parrot in the past, i know the reference. i really liked father ted and my hero.
  6. i have seen a few episodes and i do think its interesting. mostly the aspect of people playing off each other and how this is making people either suspect the wrong person as a traitor or a traitor fooling others that they are a faithful. it reminds me of the game among us.
  7. i never liked football growing up, i was not sporty and i hated loud noises. i have spoken about how i got a free ticket from school and my father took me, since that game i have been loving notts. finding pon as a teen it helped bring me more involved and i have no interest in other clubs. when i first joined twitter, it could have put me off from following notts if it was not for finding pon. the family feel of the site and how supportive members were helped. @GrannyPie would be pleased to see it continuing. @Fozzy considering what united have become, i do not blame you. they are quite embarrassing how backwards they have gone and throw money in wasted efforts to do what is needed to be the club we all know. i dont think much will change until someone fixes all that is happening in the background and getting their fans back on board 100%.
  8. good luck to him, i hope he does well for colchester. i do think hes a better player than what they are so he should but it all depends on his effort.
  9. maybe this is the next drama for itv? you could not make it up!
  10. i am not critising luke williams but perhaps he reached a point where the focus was a bit more attacking minded than defending to the point something neded to change to bring back that balance? i am hoping stuart maynard identifies the lapse in our defending and can bring a better standard out. we have good players, who can defend.
  11. this is a great clip but since reading the gaffers comments, i cant stop thinking about the referees sideburns. those are something to behold since he has nothing on top.
  12. i still get out on my bike around wollaton and beeston, sometimes i cycle to clifton too. i have not done this much with it being colder, i rely on driving to further away places but i try to keep active in the exercise department.
  13. it gives stuart maynard and his coaching team more time, i am not too fussed. i am more bothered by the complaints directed at the club because i dont think for a second we would choose to not want to play a game or mess our own fans around. we will lose money in the gates due to this, something we would not want. focus now must be on preparing for next saturday.
  14. mair almost did not score but managed to get the ball under control. a bit scrappy and poor defending from norwich. the second goal for us again showed persistence in a scrappy situation.
  15. ha! no day off for them. i think we need to just accept that the game was postponed and that its good that we have hit the training ground. its not a day off for the coaches and staff, its preparation and will hopefully help.
  16. its what football is about is it not? a call to showcase your ability and to earth gems from beneath your level. i sometimes think media groups can be insulting towards coaches and players, because of their previous level. stuart maynard looks to have a lot of people backing him to be a success and i hope it helps.
  17. manchester united was not quite the dominant force they had become in the 90s right? great result. it probably played part in clubs tracking tommy johnson too.
  18. i do a mix of things to find content, but the articles put out by @Chris and the fan written features are very good. i think we do need to encourage ourselves to spend our time on site more productively and at times step out of the normal browsing habits. that way you can find new experiences. i am really excited by how the community is coming along, as you have said its the pon family but it includes you too.
  19. the video could have been cut to the final minute and the message would be the same without the scaremongering part. i do get that some people need that though, they need to be awoken. the biggest threat to us out side of global warming is how dumb some people are getting. the woke brigade and the cancel culture, common sense becoming less and less.
  20. every game is important so i dont read too much into what looks like a difficult run, i try to take games by game and i hope stuart maynard shares a similar approach. we are good enough to secure our place in the playoffs, maybe even push for the automatics. all worrying about big games does is bring in doubt.
  21. ultimately its how patient will the board be and understanding of their decision because its them that will make the call. the fans need to give him time, swansea city was always going to be difficult of a step up but they are in good hands.
  22. not long until kick off, i hope the womens team pick up a win. i think a win would give them a lot of confidence to start getting the results needed.
  23. this is great news, i hope stuart maynard manages to find a way for james sanderson to get game time so that he can get up to the pace of the senior players. i hope other youth players manage to get a chance to add depth to our squad. sanderson looks to have a very bright future with us.
  24. its going to be interesting to see if stuart maynard does make any changes, because his style has been spoken about as being similar which made him seem the most logical replacement for luke williams. he might opt for something a bit different with our players, as each squad is different and have strengths in different areas but i do think its unlikely that he will change much.
  25. woke up noticed the game had been called off, went back to bed. it was quite cold when i woke up and i just could not bother with anything so i had a lazy day. tomorrow i need to fetch my mums shopping and take it over before asda closes. then i will stay for dinner, until late evening and back home i go.
