  1. @ARLukomski i have also made every league game so far this season. i really have enjoyed doing the away games, there is a sense of togetherness and everyone creates a party type vibe. i do think the earlier excitement which was amazing has massively dropped over winter, its nowhere near the standard that had the club and players acknowledging us. i would be disappointed if the wrong fans got hold of tickets, including people through having a season ticket holder friend because it should be season ticket holders only first. no exception.
  2. interesting to see the programme/ notes from that game. it must be a rare sight and hopefully its something the club will look at having in the museum they spoke about even if its a replica.
  3. good to see someone with no loyalty to either club talk about the game, the audio can be a touch on the quiet side at times but its good overall.
  4. form can always change but with the managerial change it is crucial we pick up points now in stead of later, our form is not that bad but away from home its been needing attention for the most part of the season. if we can get some more points on the table. two home games i would say between 3-4. away from home quite possibly the same. i would say 4-5 but we have not picked much up on the road, at least not wins.
  5. its a great piece of history, hope we can get to playing bigger clubs like liverpool more frequently than we have at least some point.
  6. i absolutely agree with you @TheSkipper, its very early days and we cant read to much into the barrow game but defensively we did look better. it will take time but i think maynard is a good fit and if we can help him settle in quicker, i think the results will come. away from home will be his biggest test but i am happy with the appointment.
  7. i do think for once it is the ideal appointment because of how he did at wealdstone and how he had them setup. we looked a fair bit better in defence against barrow, not perfect for the time hes been here we could have easily lost that game. i think the signs are promising, giving players a fresh start and lifting their confidence may be the base of his starting point here. stuart maynard really is a perfect fit and i am glad we managed to get him. those notts fans still upset over luke williams leaving, its harder on wealdstone.
  8. the family stand from the picture looks like an old fashioned school building. plus its nice to see the houses that were stood behind the kop and pavis stand. its a brilliant photo.
  9. good goal, funny commentary. overseas commentators always tend to have vocal heart attacks when they see goals. this you can enjoy, but when they do it even for the less exciting goals it makes laughable.
  10. leicester city went downhill when they started paying their players far more money than they deserved after winning the league. money ruins football, i think they should have sold vardy to arsenal and cash in. claudio ranieri transformed them and deserved longer if they had, he might have kept them up instead of them falling down. likewise, jurgen klopp has done well without throwing money at players. i know they have spent a bit in the last two seasons but its balanced by who they have sold. teams these days will want the best players in the world, that almost guarantees success. everton had a spell where they looked highly likely of finishing in the top six, they got praised but it was due to spending. unfortunately this is modern football. our own success is down to spending money wisely and competing competitively against other teams. we are not one of those teams who are fortunate enough to be able to replicate accrington stanley or barrow. we have a great attendance record and good squad, because we have used our resources well.
  11. i would have given jaden warner the start over richard brindley. at times brindley did very well going forward, but he made some defensive errors which were a little difficult to overlook. a better could have punished us. i wonder if we could use brindley as a wingback or defensive midfielder if we needed? his time here is looking uncertain otherwise because i do prefer a proper centre back there. he did well in the middle for a time but i dont think hes defensively consistent enough to warrant the start.
  12. what nations own antarctica? funny image, i bet some people younger than would have wondered why there are no markings or stations listed. ????
  13. not a delivery person on a bike to be seen, people carefree and what watching where they are going. everyone smartly dressed and looking happy. this looks like a magical world lost on people my age and under. the video is incredibly fascinating, i did notice that people did not mind the camera and just walked on mind their own business. these days there would be more than dont telling them not to film people. ????
  14. i think we do need someone more able to be attacking minded, with the ability to hold onto the ball better. with robertson i am not so sure we need to bring in someone on loan but i agree with @Chris if its an option to buy, at least we can retain him if he does do well.
  15. i went to see notts yesterday, ended up going to have something to eat in town with @CliftonMagpie and @TheSkipper. it was good to get back to meadow lane, plus catch up with two good friends. today, i have been to my mums and fetched her shopping. right now i am relaxing watching the tv.
  16. the holocaust is such an horrific even, millions of innocent lives lost. its unthinkable that a nation could cause so much damage, tearing families apart and ruling by such horrible fear. its a dark chapter in the history of humans. a reminder of the depths to which hatred can sink. the scale of the atrocities, the systematic extermination of people based on their race, religion and political beliefs is unimageable. the faces i have seen of the innocent are haunting and very saddening, especially the faces of young children.
  17. the media team does release footage that a person captures with a phone, he's usually stood pitch side and i think someone else stands else where to capture chances from the side of the pitch which are great to see but so many key incidents are cut out of the proper highlights. they are basically goals, a missed effort and the occasional foul that leads to a card.
  18. very dangerous and reckless, i thought you were not allowed to foul someone from behind? he just steamrolled through jodi jones. no effort to win the ball. if that not dangerous and violent play i dont know what is.
  19. wrexham could have a massive home game if they beat blackburn. maidstone would probably fair better against coventry. but despite luton being in the premier league how good of a draw have they got? imagine if they managed to upset them and win.
  20. sky sports should learn from this, capture more footage of the fans and that for me is the only fair delay to having a game played. i bet this did not have an irregular kick off time. its great footage, nice piano playing too.
  21. great moment for english football and for maidstone, but i think we would be better off working with what we have. fair play to him because he is very much a cult hero for maidstone.
  22. do you watch the highlights? i used to like watching the extended highlights that notts put out, but we dont seem to ever share footage that could be controversial. the tackle from luca stephenson is nowhere to be found. some of the referee decisions that lead to free kicks or even goals never appear. its almost like the league does not want fans talking about these crucial game incidents. if notts has the power, i wished they would release better quality highlights especially in the extended version.
  23. barrow did look more brighter on the ball than we did, how we managed to stay in the game with some of the chances they created i dont know. nobody should be bashing stone though, he was great. it took quite a while before notts started to pick up, but once we did they looked a lot better. it was weird seeing someone much smaller than john bostock giving him such an hard time. i think bostock had one of his worst games, with his passing and falling to the ground. defensively he did well but we missed his energy and involvement in playing further up. i agree with @Chris, barrow were average but at the same time we lacked creativity. it had a draw all over it.
  24. i have only seen notts have success the one season under kevin nolan and then the seasons with the reedtz. this is well before my time, so i dont know much about it. i do know we have a great run at wembley and after this things did get better. i would love to see more fan stories about this.
