Match Discussion: Game 39 - The 'Owd Reds (A)
the game could go anyway, we have no idea until the game starts but i am not really looking forward to it. i dont mind losing, but its just too much right now. everything is at the opposite end to what this season began like. we have players who can score, assist and create chances. yet we miss that glue in the middle of the pitch that allowed us to just hold onto the ball. in terms of squad selection, i cant see much changing. we had a bench that was quite defensive when we needed forwards, now we have the opposite. i really hope for a good performance.

Match Discussion: Game 38 - The Red Devils (A)
i thought notts played well for most parts, sam austin has come into the team determined and he looks eager to stay within the mix. this is exactly what you want to see from players who have not started much but have been on the bench. you want them to take the chance they get, so i am also pleased for austin. robertson is a bit clumsy with his challenges, i could see him walking so i think we need to make quicker decision to pull anyone who may get a red card. normally you can trust players on a yellow to avoid making silly decisions. sam slocombe was brilliant and its fair to say he did keep notts in the game. he should not take any faults for the two goals that went in, we needed to defend more bravely and plug the gap robertson left by getting sent off. you either lose attacking prowess or defensive cover. we seemed to lose both.

The Magpie’s Eye: Views from the Heart of Notts County’s Black & White Army
this is a very good idea @Joshua. we all discuss what is happening and pulling in some external views is an interesting idea. i do think its difficult to single out good performers because those that simply moan just want to complain about everything. i mean those extreme moaners that are very content just being idiots because they are behind a screen and keyboard. sam slocombe usually never can win, so its good that hes got praise. i think when the form is not good, if a player can see he has some appreciation it can be encouraging to keep focused. its also good to see people standing up for maynard, although some issues are down to his management we need to understand hes learning and limited quite a lot.

Match Discussion: Game 38 - The Red Devils (A)
i dont know what to expect, this will be my first time travelling to crawley but i am looking forward to it. their ground seems decent enough. i hope we can play like we did against wimbledon but maintain focus nearer the end. i think we should be able to create chances which lead to goals, we have that ability but its preventing them which i am unsure about. i think we should probably stick with the same team. does anyone know if aden baldwin is injured? he would be a massive blow if hes out.

Match Discussion: Game 37 - The Wombles (H)
i hope after the 90s minute and final whistle that we can feel happy knowing notts gave a good account of themselves. if afc wimbledon play well and win, so be it but i just wish to see more positive signs from our games. we are long overdue a solid performance and i am hoping that will be tomorrow. just hearing the kop feeling happier and the players giving their best. coyp!

Notts County's Stuart Maynard Previews Tough Encounter with Wimbledon
i think stuart maynard needs the win more than most fans who want to see him succeed do, it would be great to see notts return to doing the business. whatever we cant control, notts must try to stir towards what we can. i am fully behind the club, players and i just hope we can get a good result against wimbledon.

How Grateful Us Lads Are’: Sam Austin’s Heartfelt Thanks to Notts County Fans
well done to sam austin for acknowledging the fans and trying to put across that the players are trying and appreciate the support, its a step back to the unity we had at the start of the season. just like his words though, tomorrow is all about getting the result we need and most fans will appreciate his comments but others will want it to be expressed on the field. austin is a very good player, he deserves my support.

Notts County's Stuart Maynard Remains Positive Despite Fixture Congestion
you can see the pressure building when you see his face, the team have to turn the season around and give him time because its them who are letting us all down not stuart maynard. given the chance i firmly believe he can turn around and whilst i drove to bradford only for it to be called off very close to the game. i think the time could aid us better having spent it training. bradfords pitch seemed no better the other day when they played on it.

Match Discussion: Game 37 - The Wombles (H)
i think we need to make sure that jake reeves is marked out of the game, hes the player i felt pulled all their strings at their ground and he is one of those players who can make others around him go that extra bit further. i am nervous, i dont see where our next win will come and i still remain nervous for stuart maynard as it seems unlikely people will stop finding fault with him. it would be something to see us at our best, well prepared and looking brighter but with the season being competitive i do not see it. wimbledon fans must be feeling confident, i just hope we give ourselves some credit.

From Applause to Disapproval: The Shift in Meadow Lane’s Atmosphere
liampie commented on TheSkipper's blog entry in Black and White Memories: Nostalgia for Notts County Fans with TheSkipperi think much of the reactions against sutton were caused by frustration, the way the sutton players behaved and got on to our fans would only in turn put the pressure back on our players. i do wonder why some fans consider themselves supporters but thankfully thats few and far between, twitter can be an ugly place for any football fans but i do agree that we are in this together. i would have the club to be in the jamie fullarton times again. despite the poor transfer window, its our first back in the efl and i am very thankful for the investment of our owners.

Match Discussion: Game 27 - The U's (H)
@Wheelbarrow repair man why do we care about something that does not care about us, when we are debating this on a fan site that does care about the club? is this not redundant if the post thinks we are too small? the club should let david jackson or whoever is from the bbc ask the questions. they do a great job and will push questions which effect the club but unfortunately with the results, i guess the club are trying to do pr damage control. this is starting to form a different conversation though unrelated to tonights game.

Match Discussion: Game 27 - The U's (H)
lets not underestimate sutton, we know they can do well against teams even if they are very inconsistent and are in poor form. they ruined our start of the season with their thrashing, so if there is any fight in the squad i hope to see it tonight. if we can get the points it would massively help stuart maynard, but anything else wont exactly benefit him. i am very nervous because portions of our fans will be vocal and its unknown if they will get more to be in the same voice. i hope we can just sing and encourage the lads, whatever is at fault for the downfall in form it was never really a maynard issue to begin with.

Stuart Maynard’s Tactical Versatility: Notts County’s Readiness for Crewe Alexandra’s Shape-Shifting Style
if we can work hard and ensure that we are trying to create chances in all areas of the pitch, i think no matter what shape we or crewe play it should be an entertaining game at meadow lane. notts need the result a bit more than crewe, they have picked up and are in some good form. they will fancy their chances, as will we.

Scott Robertson Reflects on his Notts County Journey So Far
i think scott robertson is settling into the role and personally i think hes a decent player, once he has been around our camp long enough i am sure we will see more from him but i also have to point out how honest he is about himself. he knows there is room for improvement, hes focused as a team and all these things are good to see in a player of his age.

You Have to be ‘in it to Win it’
i bet over the years you have put much more than you have won in it, and i think that is amazing from fans who support the life line scheme. its something i wished i could get involved with but the spaces are never their and its restricted to a set amount if i am correct.

Stuart Maynard Reflects on Notts County’s Performance and Looks Ahead to Crewe Clash
i like that stuart maynard is not underestimating crewe, but even if they do mix their playing style within the game it shows how important our own game management can be. if we cant adapt well, we will lose the ground that we have created and most of it is all about pressure and creating chances. we have a very good squad, even if our budget is not in the top 10 of league two. we have to be smart when making decisions in game. im very much looking forward to seeing notts on saturday at meadow lane.

Loan Players Good Or Bad Idea?
well you would want players like mentioned in this discussion, over loans which never seemed to be given the chance i.e ollie tipton. we have no idea if he could have been a useful signing but because he did not play much and with luke williams never seeming to give him a chance it makes it rather a pointless signing. i think loans should only be explored in areas where signing a permanent player might not give us further strength in that position. i would rather see a good loan signing be made, than for the club to sign someone who clearly sits on the bench or out of the match day squad completely.

Notts County History Watch.
i love this @Robbie, i always keep an eye out for pon's otd and other historical things. we have a popular facebook group where i used to post about former players connected with important dates or upcoming games. it was nice to learn about the history of the club.

Match Discussion: Game 35 - The Railwaymen (H)
i am looking forward to the game, crewe will be a different situation to the last few home games and if notts keeps the right momentum i believe the result will go our way. if we see signs early on that macaulay langstaff is involved, then we should be able to make something positive from the game. dan crowley and jodi jones creatively should be our threat. i think sam austin would be a good call to be given a start, but i dont see anyone making the way for him. personally, i would put david mcgoldrick on the bench to rest him a little.
