England Managers. The Best & the Worse
best during my time would easily be gareth southgate based on success and restoring hope that england can do well. steve mclaren would be the worst. he just looked out of his depth and unable to inspire his team.

Euro 24 Watch (Group Stage)
ally mccoist showed himself up by saying it was a good challenge, then doubled down by saying he had too. there was no need to jump in with that tackle, the foot that hit the ball was not made the incident dangerous. it was the other foot, with the studs showing. the moment he flew in i thought thats a red card. i think they will regret not going out and trying to frustrate germany by holding the ball, make things tight and counter when possible. they just invited a decent grmany side to attack them and thats not a good plan.

Euro 24 Watch (Group Stage)
they have no plan to attack, just defend and allow germany to have the ball. you would have thought they would at least try to stretch them. the penalty which was given for the 3 goal was a very poor challenge.

The Nest/Fan Zone: Update.
it should be great for business, not just notts and forest but for other potential events. there are a lot of sporting events where fans will sit in a nice area and drink, so the importance is there to making somewhere people will want to gather. unfortunately for me i prefer quieter players and would find it to much, i dont like the changes made to the navi personally due to this reason and if i go for a pre match drink i will only consider the embankment.

Stats From the Season
when we watch how we pass the ball, there is no doubt we would have more of the possession in our own half and this upcoming season it needs to be improved. we need to be braver going forward, less afraid of losing the ball. 70+ percent in our own half shows the lack of attacking effort. i really feel with a stronger defence, less pressure on creating chances will give our better players more freedom.

Does the Notts Squad need more League 2 experience?
i think quality will always be something that is the best thing for a ambitious club, football experience in general is a good thing and whilst we may have a few who have played higher and outside of the football league its quite mixed. we sign players based on them improving and that is the best method in my eyes, some league two players might not make the grade if promotion is gained and i just think quality signings are the best policy.

Should Parachute Payments be abolished.
the sensible thing would be to make sure premier and league clubs have clauses in the players contracts to cover to cover relegation, it might be difficult for clubs to retain players but i think it would open up the market and make teams more wiser with spending. i think parachute payments should be scrapped because it gives teams a better chance of signing players at least at the top levels. its intended to help with balancing the wages but some teams use it to sign them which is just unfair. maybe stricter rules on how the money is spent needs to be implemented if they dont scrap them completely.

Ricardo Moniz's new position
oh i know, the results were to be expected but the sacking for me was not. my comment was more about the people in charge of the clubs hiring and firing.

Ricardo Moniz's new position
sacked by nk slaven belupo for only winning 1 game in 7, their owners did not stand by their decision much did they? good luck to him with this move.

Match Discussion: Game 43 - Sulphurites (H)
i hope we can pick up from the mk dons performance, away from home we have generally been better i feel. we have given good accounts of ourselves but the issue is the silly mistakes and decisions which lead to gifting goals away. i dont rate luca ashby-hammond, but would get behind whoever ends up in goal. i think he does suit the ball at his feet, but his commanding, distribution and positioning are not strong points for me. also i think jatta should start ahead of mcgoldrick, i think he offers much more and we may benefit from having some experience come on later in the game as a way to manage things.

Sven's last stand
it horrible to see how his illness is taking its toll on him, he does not look well and his face is unfortunately showing signs of how unwell he is. its very saddening but this was a real nice thing to see. i wish sven many more happy days and hope he continues to make what time he has matter. its a reminder that we all need to make the most of our lives. i am very humbled by how brave he is.

Match Discussion: Game 42 - The Dons (H)
luca ashley hamnond is not the answer, he is not ready and generally shows poor positioning. yes, he is better with his feet but even his distribution leaves questions. there have been several games where he has shown his inexperience by just kicking the ball out when having a paddy that he does not know where to kick the ball. if nobody comes forward for it, boot the ball up field and not for the closest throw in possible. sam slocombe has been generally good since coming back, but the ball to his feet is not something that suites him well and we should avoid trying this if he is selected. its all about right the timing. if we want to lose the experience he brings and go for better feet, aidan stone is just fine but he lacks the confidence to seeout clean sheets. besdies, i think we are better choosing a keeper and sticking with them, much like the defence. the main thing is making the most of having the ball, we cant just sit on high percentages and knock it around at the back. at some stage the defence must realise they are better working the ball into an area where someone can continue to take it further and the midfield needs to run with that. if we lose the ball, just try to regain it asap or block it. provided we learn to defend our own net better, the more likely we will be to get some good results. it wont happen like a miracle at this stage tho.

Match Discussion: Game 41 - The Robins (A)
its all confidence at this stage and the fact the season is one we must grind out, i see errors and issues happening. i still dont blame stuart maynard, the players cant help themselves and until we have the time to really strengthen and sort out some of the obvious gaps then things are what they are. its really disappointing to see some fans, a very small minority seem to take joy at away games that we are so poor. maybe its their way of coping but its just hostile and very atmosphere ruining to hear silly comments throughout a game. I enjoyed the game itself more than hearing them. the goals we gave away were extremely poor, i dont think we should be too harsh on scott robertson because hes still young and has largely done well. if we were winning people would be overlooking some of these mistakes and the majority i think would be less critical, its a real shame how this season has ended up but sometimes it happens when you realise you are not good enough for the higher end. the fact some people still believe we should be we are good enough for promotion to league one, but say we are rubbish makes me want to pull my hair out. we are not ready, there is a chance we could have been but not since luke williams left and even then we seemed to coasting out of the frame of it.

Match Discussion: Game 41 - The Robins (A)
i think this season would end up better remembered if we could beat the team that sent us down, we were doomed them i know but the way some of their fans took joy in seeing us relegated and the way their players did similar makes me hopeful that we can go get all the points. if our players can do that, i think its one thing positive about the ending of this campaign. if we can finish as strongly as possible, it gives us a good chance to pick up in the next campaign. swindon dont have much to play for themselves, so hope our players see how important the win could be for those who watched the club fall to the lowest point in the clubs history. i doubt they will end up seeing eggs on their faces this season, they should be good enough to stay up and i wouldn't wish them relegation either. i just hope to win them, so we can nudge ourselves back up the table a bit more. its the difference between a respectable league finish and being average.

Match Discussion: Game 40 - The Ammies (H)
the biggest issue i felt is that we did not threaten them enough, salford were poor but they controlled things and when they could pounce they did. their opening goal, it came from us being too casual on the ball. people are singling out kyle cameron who has not been great, but we should not be so sloppy to gift the ball away. we had every opportunity to make a game of it and get goals, but we are very cut throat. we over play it and rely on almost walking the ball into the net, we need to stop allowing teams to pack their goal with players because that just makes it unlikely for this to be successful. there are times when we move the ball around and look very good, attacking with pace and determination but the moment we hit a defensive wall it just becomes a problem.
