  1. i am looking forward to it, i have been bitten by the away day bug.
  2. i always look forward to the post match comments, luke is the first i have done for ages. its never the same ramblings. john sheridan and kevin nolan were awful to listen too.
  3. very good offer, the club's media could be a very good asset. even the video service for us who attend games could be much more than it is.
  4. i read wee man, at first but its still sad news. i always preferred ernest as a kids entertainer, pee wee came across as an american take on mr bean but for kids and not that funny. thats just me tho, rest in peace.
  5. have you started to put the clues together as to what's going on? Second season is very good too.
  6. its a very fair from luke williams, i do think that the players will be fine in the season. i am confident that the team and coaching staff can improve on the defensive mistakes. we have a squad filled with good quality at this level and i think its a case of if someone slips up, two others can make up for it. i thought the game was okay, notts had chances to win too.
  7. its good to know junior morias is fully fit now, it will be nice to see him play. our pre season has shown us a lot of insight and the players seem ready for it. sutton will be an interesting start to the season, hopefully we go there with confidence and just get the result we need to kick of our league two campaign well.
  8. hello, @David Shipston. welcome to pon.
  9. a draw is not a bad thing, the first opening goal for us was good. nice volley into the net. we had some other good chances but did not take them. regarding langstaff, supposedly luke williams wanted to rest him ahead of sutton. i dont think its anything serious, probably a precaution as a means to avoid any set backs.
  10. who decided the £800,000? its quite a small fee from the wolves perspective. if a tribunal agreed that fee for a promising player described as a wonderkid then its not really fair imo.
  11. good read, but we are in no real danger of going back down. we re good enough for league two, we just need to get a good run going.
  12. just stick to the format we had last season imo. @DangerousSausage do you need to ask if i am in?
  13. if i was luke williams, i would have cisse on the bench for most of the games and give him runs out. allow him to get minutes and experience this season, so he can be more useful and a bigger part of the team in the next two seasons after this one.
  14. @AmericanPie this has been mentioned on the radio over here, there is nothing racist about it. the issue is those making the connection are properly racist themselves. hes talking about the current state of american with the riots, and madness. not any colour or creed. stupid cancel culture, by bigots and racists themselves. i have been listening to a lot of 80s music as of late.
  15. maybe he can do what cal roberts did? have a few good seasons with them, then make a move up. if he can get goals and assists, along with good performances he will attract the interest of teams. the fact liverpool had him, will always be something that will appeal to clubs. i hope he becomes a big player for them.
  16. these will be in the club shop and sold out just as quickly as they arrive and for a good reason, its nice to have a proper team photo. it made me annoyed that bad photos of the team got passed around, as steve cherry was moaning about sam slocombe looking down. it was the photographers fault and whoever decided to circulate it.
  17. more like chips and pizza, with crisps and other snacks.
  18. it was a good goal, but the quality since ellen white has retired is obvious, its hard to see where the goals will come from. i think the manager sets the players up to play well enough, but there is not enough in front of the opposition goal.
  19. @Piethagoram thats brilliant news, hopefully its just a bad bruise and nothing else more serious than that. cal deserves a bit of luck in the injury department.
  20. I am going to Shrewsbury tomorrow, no plans other than that. Sunday I usually go to my mums but I think she's going out with my Aunt, so I will probably just sit at home on my own.
  21. it sounds like a very good signing, a young promising defender who will have to work hard to get into the team and this should motivate all of the defenders. he looks good on the ball, quite mobile and aware of when he's needed to drop back, instead of just pushing forward. the loan is idea, as it gives us a bit of padding.
  22. welcome to pon, we are a very friendly group of passionate notts fans @Steveyward.
  23. i think it is something that could be re-considered, i was not aware that a lot of premier league teams did it. on my travels i have seen many club coaches go past me, dont see the point in flying when you can go in a coach. i dont think a train is very viable for a professional team personally.
  24. he sounds like a good signing, i am pleased we have another addition and in the area we ideally needed. welcome to meadow lane and notts county, ollie tipton.
  25. i hope we approach it more as if it was a cup game, without risking anyones fitness or injuries but in a way that would send a message that we are ready for the new season. it could be difficult, but having a go and seeing it pay off would be great going into sutton. if we lose or play poorly, blame it on being a friendly.
