i think with the signing of jumior morias we have been unlucky but i do think sometimes when a player is not near to starting, we have a tendency of claiming they have a knock which might be true but i dont think its anywhere as bad as to keep them from starting. ollie tipton is probably one of those loans where the parent club continues to pay their wages without the loan club having to worry about it. i cant imagine he would have been on a considerable amount either but there was no reason why we did not give him a chance. we should have given him some chances, but the most baffling part is when we needed a defensive midfielder he was nowhere near the starting lineup, when we needed a defender again he was just overlooked. i dont think it says anything negative about our recruitment. it might have just been a budget thing for the time, or to see how our squad did. the same recruitment process should bring in more quality in january to help us push on with aims of back to back promotions. i wish ollie tipton all the best, i am sure he could have done more for us given the game time.

yes, i have set some goals for myself and i usually keep them to myself. i want to travel a bit more. italy, australia and turkey are three places i aim to visit in 2024. italy could be a weekender, with the other two making a week holiday each. get more involved in my community. join a gym and stick with it.

i dont think aidan stone is the worst keeper we could have at the club but he does sink when he concedes and we rely far too much on him. our defence, including defending from the midfield needs to be better. i think we need to be mindful that at this level keepers will make mistakes, however frustrating it can be. we play with attacking at the fore front of out tactics at the cost of protecting the keeper. i believe stone can improve and be a useful option, i like sam slocombe but feel he is weaker with playing the ball out from the back. otherwise he should be the main keeper, with stone as his understudy. i fear some will be throwing tiernan brooks into danger, as if he is not ready or ends up making mistakes it could be a repeat of fabian spiess. i am all for giving brooks a try out or a few games as a run our to see, but i would avoid pinning to much pressure on him.

i think its something which will go along way to reminding some fans just how far we have gone. there is no doubt at home we are more confidence but away leaves improvements. the reedtz have outlined the reasons why we are to be thankful and i for one am very grateful for their involvement in restoring pride to notts.

i did not celebrate the new year in, because i was already in bed ready for work the following day. its been hell over christmas, we are so rushed off our feet and it has not helped that our parent company has enforced staff layoffs so it means those wanting to keep their job are having to take on overtime. something like 25-30 are being let go.

i dont think i can rate the players any better than @Super_Danny_Allsopp, or differently i should write. i think stone could be more capable with protection, but we will always invite chances whilst we defend as we did. those balls which we struggle to focus or defend, are just so inviting for teams to get hold off. richard brindley seems to be a good option, but only when he's not always starting. hes too inconstant as a cb.

i know, it might come across as i am expecting it but i want to say i am more hopeful that we can secure back to back wins. it would go along way to u turning the poor form we found, whilst giving everyone something less to worry about. i think morecambe will want to make a game of it but i have the faith that if we perform well enough a good result will come. try to avoid changes where possible, yes some of the players may be tired from the boxing day game but i think we have more than enough within the squad to rely less on what we have on the bench. consistency right now could be the thing to bring better form within the new year.

i have seen a few rugby games with my dad on the tv, when england are playing and their whole setup is so simply executed that it barely impacts the game. the application of it in football is a farce, if something needs checking - do it. a lot of the issue for me is the incompetence of officials and the people operating it. im glad it has not expanded into the efl because many of the changes made this season force the games to drag on when its supposed to enable the game to flow. var could be a useful system to assist human error but its current application is not practical.

far better performance and something to be happy with, stockport are a good team and we played a decent game. its a shame we could not get anything from the game. i felt a bit frustrated by the way we gave the second goal, not so much cameron but tobi losing the ball rather clumsy.

we are playing better, a bit more thought needs to go into our decisions on goal but its good to see macaulay langstaff more involved with the ball. it gives him so much more to do. despite the better performance, the goal we allowed to go in was a major switching off moment and its disappointing. i am pleased with how we have responded since though.

this signing was a masterstroke and he very much fired us to the football league, with such a talented squad behind him but without his goals some of the games may have been different. i was not sure we would be able to replace kyle wootton, i felt very disappointed he left but macaulay langstaff and cedwyn scott have been such a breath of fresh air. i do hope to see them partner each other on the field a lot more once cedwyn is injury free.

having seen macaualay langstaffs interview i feel a bit more encouraged, he works so effortlessly and does not give up. we need to get back to playing in a way that turns the opposition defence inside out. i would love to see us perform well, slowing the passes down just enough to give us the edge. if the players work as hard as langstaff there is no reason why we cant. some stockport fans feel anxious about playing us, so it should be a great game.

i really love how luke williams thinks about things and his whole approach to management, he thinks everything through like a real leader does and quite fairly he holds his own hands up. i think he has done very well to guide us to 6th place and i just hope we can spark our exciting form to maintain this. what williams says is very true!

we have seen a lot of improvements from macaulay langstaff, i remember reading the tweets and comments on social media where some fans did not believe he was good enough. i dont think it was ever a question but we need to get back to being creative and relentless with our attacks because macca thrives on that and then it creates a buzz.

i have no recommendations or players in mind, i just know we need to add a bit more cover and depth. the players that may sign need to be of first team quality.

good to see some of the top moments of 2023, going back to last season. lets push on and just try to overcome this wobble.

similar to @Joshua, i want us to snap out of this feeling sorry for ourselves. notts needs to regroup and forget the previous fixtures, with christmas coming up we need to make every effort towards making it an enjoyable time. if we lose tomorrow, so be it but lets come back stronger and more determined.

great post @ARLukomski! the stats the efl mention probably suite the message they want people to believe because unless the game was captured fully, then who is to say they are correct or not? a foul could have been committed before one is given, so many times we see officials miss incidents. i dont think it sounds like sour grapes because i suspect it happens to every club except for wrexham. ???? salford were dirty, i thought the officials in that game missed no end of incidents in their attempt to keep the game playing. quickly is was stopped when on the other foot but clubs like them get it due to their owners.

it took some time for him to feature, i like that luke williams wanted to bring him up to speed but now hes ours. we have all the more reason to be playing him, its the way he will improve and be able to contribute more towards notts. i think its a good signing and once he's back available, i hope to see him in the starting lineup. hopefully, he will score a few more goals before the season ends but his debut goal was a screamer!

its going to be interesting to see how we do against a team in far better form. a good result could give us no end of confidence but on the other hand, a heavy defeat could cause further complications. i dont expect to win, so i think i would take a draw. hopefully the players are feeling more ambitious as our away games seems unlikely to see where the next win will come.
