Match Discussion: Game 23 - The Hatters (A)
its going to be interesting to see how we do against a team in far better form. a good result could give us no end of confidence but on the other hand, a heavy defeat could cause further complications. i dont expect to win, so i think i would take a draw. hopefully the players are feeling more ambitious as our away games seems unlikely to see where the next win will come.

Glenn Tamplin: Hertfordshire Police launches wanted appeal
probably there before he had the money but spiralled out of control when he had it. he was living the dream with his company and owning a football club, its crazy how things turn out.

Future Prospects: Recruitment, Defensive Fixes, and Trust in Luke Williams
@Fan of Big Tone oh i have seen some and they tend to be the first people to complain too. notts are in a good position still, this is a testing time for luke williams but to be fair, its a good experience for him to learn from. other clubs fans wont be as invested as our own but even then we need to remember that when luke gets things to click, he is more than capable of taking us higher up. with him still learning, we need to worry then.

I’m Not Fond of It, But I See the Reasoning
i am not a fan of it either, it could be that people cant be bothered too or both. i think it would be useful to hear what the players have to say, maybe not always but to miss them simply because notts loses i think its a poor show of hands. i do think there is only so many questions and times you can ask them what went wrong but if there are good talking points a player should be spoken to regardless if we lose or not.

Notts County’s Luke Williams on Team Performance: ‘We Cannot Be So Scared to Play Football’
how he lost his voice is clear that the players are not listening, but its concerning because it looks like luke williams is running out of things to try. i just hope we can pick up and focus on becoming stronger in the new year. its difficult for sure.

Scouting Dossier : Harrogate v Notts
he did very well, i am not sure how he would do in aside with more technical players but he would make a good signing i feel. can we swap him for will randall?

Where are they now - Michael Doyle
i dont really care about him because the moment ian burhcnall failed at fgr, michael doyle was back at notts. hes pretty much shown no loyality to pompey by taking the woking job. i would understand more if it was a bigger or a former club but woking? if he can make it until the end of the season without being sacked it will be a good thing for him. he should do well as a manager provided he sticks and learns with a club, instead of always on the move.

time to have a back three of cbs
we have players who on their day can play as cbs but that does not make them their best positions. we are currently forcing people into roles where they are not as comfortable. teams in my opinion have figured this out and i am hoping luke williams and the club realise we need players who are centre backs to succeed. training will only get us so far.

Match Discussion: Game 22 - Sulphurites (A)
i dont believe in plan bs, i just think that whatever we try right now it wont make much difference until we see committment made at the back and that possibly starts with not playing players as cbs when they are not. we were poor today, this spell hit us earlier in the season i would be worried about relegation. we have gone from being reasonably ok, to awkward, to extremely poor. fix the defence and we should improve.

Match Discussion: Game 22 - Sulphurites (A)
i hate that my previous post sounded negative but i could sense this, luke has a massive uphill battle and i dont see how we can get back into the game without conceding a third. the reason most fans are disappointed is because we are better but everyone keeps making the same mistakes and there is nothing learned. richard brindley can work but hes better with two recognised centre backs imo. the first goal was bad, but it put us on the wrong foot to begin with and it lead to the second. its quite poor to think we are so easily gifting games to our opposition.

Bolstering the defence
the reedtz brothers does seem to have a good relationship with clubs, so maybe they will enquire but i think we might not get any of the players who could easily play for a decent championship team not even on loan for a short time. i could be wrong, but it just seems like forest might prefer to sell or loan them to a club higher up.

Match Discussion: Game 22 - Sulphurites (A)
not long to go, i feel more nervous and the vibe i am getting i think its going to be one of those games we will just want to forgot. i hope i am wrong. it would have been nice to see some stability with the defence, i cant help but agree that changing every game is making it harder. we will see how this works out but i dont have a lot of high hopes in playing only one recognised centre back, with connell rawlinson being the only other on the bench.

Conor Keeley signs!
@Fozzy makes some great points. we need to move on from conor keeley, look at other options and hopefully find someone suitable to improve the back three. i did think the mentioning at the fans forum that the club is not against looking at european teams as an interesting comment. maybe we will look at the dutch or french players who are available?

It’s the weekend!! Whatcha got planned?
i have come to harrogate, its a bit depressing here. awful stadium. very small. tomorrow i will be going to my aunts and uncles, i will be catching up and exchanging presents ready for christmas.

Where are they now : Calvin Miller
he moves around too much to actually show how good he can be, which will make him inconsistent in my eyes. players like him will never reach their potential when working to stay seems to hard when moving is so easy.
-
Mark Ablitt and Notts
twitter seems to be having some difficulties or are making changes, as elon musk likes to do. what is the 200k for? @Piethagoram
-
Where are they now? Leam Richardson
i dont really rate him as a manager, he seems to be nothing more than a lower tier manager and shows no signs of improving on this.

Notts County Welcomes Lewis Macari to the Family Permanently
still plenty of time to grow but i love the desire of notts to go out and strike a deal with stoke. it says a lot about the club and i think within time lewis macari could become one of our most important defenders. i am pleased he sees notts as somewhere he can grow and i hope he does well.

Luke Williams on Harrogate: 'Were More Unpredictable Than the League'
i like that luke williams is always thinking about improvements, i know this will take time and i understand that currently we have something that with effort we can overcome but again its about time and having a bit of luck maybe.

new led advertising
LED perimeter boards will be installed at Meadow Lane in the new year and businesses can now express their interest in utilising them for the final 10 home matches of our exciting 2023-24 Sky Bet League Two season. The state-of-the-art boards will form a 110-metre strip in front of the Jimmy Sirrel Stand, in prime view of the main broadcast camera and within sight of all supporters in the Derek Pavis, Kop and Family stands. https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/LED

Warnock retrospective 1990
this is great, neil comes across as quite superstitious and the hair comment made me laugh. i wonder if luke williams would think about letting what he has grow. ????

VAR decision not easy to spot, but reaction of the player says all you need to know
i thought it might have been due to the other player being near to the keeper and it falling under obstruction, but i dont see the offside that is claimed myself. i dont see any interference from the player who is jogging back as the cross goes in. when the ball is being struck, i dont see anything.

Cuts at Nottingham City Council
the central libary and force of local ones to close is very disappointing. nottingham city council do not seem to understand what people want, its like when they knocked broadmarsh down and ask what people wanted. those suggestions were ignored until the council ran out of money and then they were like lets have a green space within the city centre.
