  1. I am uncertain if it is reasonable to leave out the exceptional talent that is Ruben Rodrigues if he is fully fit to play at @CliftonMagpie. If he is below 80%, then maybe you could consider leaving him out, but even then, he would still be more skilful and valuable than most of the Wrexham team. Ruben's class is difficult to handle for opposing teams when he is in top form, and he generally performs his best in high-pressure games, which cameras and big games are two of his favourite things. Moreover, with the opportunity to reclaim the top spot in the league, every player will want to start. Luke Williams will most likely comment on the training levels, as it is a positive message to convey before such a significant game. I completely agree with starting Cadwyn Scott and Macauley Langstaff upfront. They have a fantastic partnership. I would not leave out Jodi Jones, Aarron Nemane or Sam Austin; I would love to see them all play. Sadly, I suspect that Luke Williams will place Austin on the bench. He will likely opt for the more energetic of the three, not that Austin does not perform well when he plays. The others, however, offer a lot more energy and pace. It feels like a Nottingham takeover in Wrexham! Their supporters are already suggesting that we avoid drinking before the game. If we must, they suggest we do it in Chester!
  2. At the start of the match, Sam Austin and Jodi Jones looked energised. Together with Aaron Nemane, they covered a lot of ground that Ruben Rodrigues would usually have covered. Despite being short on players, we still managed to secure a convincing win. It was a good call by Luke Williams to rest Ruben. Some comments before the game suggested that we would lose because of this decision. However, it's evident that those doubters were wrong. It was common sense that Ruben had limped off in the previous match and needed rest before the Wrexham game. It didn't appear to be a serious injury that would keep him out of a match.
  3. Luke Williams has done well with handling the media this season. He's much better at it than the likes of Neal Ardley or Ian Burchnall, although both of those were nice guys. Williams' knowledge is infectious, and I think it is rubbing off on the players. His ability to communicate effectively with the media is an essential skill, and it's clear that he has a good understanding of what is required. His confidence and knowledge of the game come across in his interviews, and it's evident that he has the respect of the players. It's great to see a manager who can handle the pressures of the media and still maintain a positive attitude. This can only be good for the team, as it helps to create a more relaxed and confident atmosphere.
  4. I don't expect Wealdstone to be an easy opponent like Southend. They work well as a team and even in matches where they struggle, they don't give up easily. Usually, their downfall is their own mistakes, but they always give their all. They have the potential to score goals and make it tough for their opponents. However, like any team in this league, the match will be decided by which team wants it the most. If Wealdstone scores early, it could create more problems for Notts. The key will be for Notts to tighten up at the back and prevent Wealdstone from getting back into the game. On the other hand, if Notts manages to score first, they must be vigilant and avoid any lapses in concentration that could allow Wealdstone to get back in the game. This is a crucial match for Notts, one that could put more pressure on Wrexham or end their chances of winning the league title. Notts must come out strong and show their determination to win. With Wealdstone's unpredictable form, it's hard to know what to expect, but if Notts play to their strengths, they can come away with a vital victory.
  5. It was a great victory away from home, and now we turn our attention to Wrexham. This win has given us renewed hope that they may falter, and it has made our upcoming game against them even more crucial. While the first goal was questionable and would have made me furious if it was against Notts, I still think the result was fantastic. The opposing manager had nothing but praise for Notts, but he was right on the money about the referee's decision to allow the quick free kick.
  6. @Chris Brooks might play Saturday night. I think it's important for football players to give their all for the entire game to succeed. Even if they start slow, they need to keep pushing to create chances to win. I believe they can win if they put in full effort. Meadow Lane stadium is awesome with over 12,000 fans in attendance. The crowd can inspire the players and make the stadium feel like a higher-level venue. Ruben and Palmer are great players who can change the game for Notts. They can control the game's flow and create chances for the team. I would love to see them lead the charge. Overall, I'm confident that Notts can win if they work hard and dedicate themselves to the game. The crowd's support and players like Ruben and Palmer can make a big difference in securing a win.
  7. The match against Dorking tomorrow is make or break for Notts County's title challenge. A win keeps their hopes alive, but anything less than that makes it difficult. Every point is critical, and the pressure is mounting as the season progresses. But with determination and focus, the team can still achieve their goal. Dropping even two points means relying on Wrexham to draw or lose, making it tougher to maintain a fight for the first place.
  8. Getting a promotion is important to our players, as it gives them the opportunity to improve their skills and compete at a higher level. While I expect Kyle Cameron to stay with our team for another season, I think that other squad members like Ruben Rodrigues and Aaron Nemane might want to join a team higher up the football pyramid. Therefore, it's essential that we focus our attention on achieving promotion to satisfy the ambitions of our talented athletes.
  9. Notts have found Bromley to be a challenging opponent at Meadow Lane, as they are skilled in countering teams that prefer a possession-based, attacking style of play. They are likely to employ a slow pace while pushing forward during set pieces, potentially putting pressure on Notts' defence. Despite this, Notts has the talent to return to their winning form, but the outcome may depend on which team desires the victory more.I expect a draw to be the likely outcome.
  10. Both the assistant referee on the left and the referee failed to spot the obvious penalty on Langstaff. I completely concur that it was a missed call, but I chose not to intervene with any possible accusations of bribery towards the referee. My belief is that the officials displayed poor performance and most likely succumbed to the pressure of the cameras.
  11. It's hard to accept defeat when we played well, especially in the second half, but still lost. After the final whistle when a player was sent off it isn't great. While the referee's decisions on penalty calls may have been questionable, I'm amazed at how effectively the opposing team blocked our attempts. It feels like a tall order to ask for Chesterfield to help us out, given their current form. Nevertheless, we must move forward and focus on our next game. Our aim is to win the remaining 11 matches and secure victory in the last 2 games of the season to achieve our goal.
  12. As fans, these are the games we ought to cherish for a considerable length of time. Whether they signify the beginning of something extraordinary, let's relish the football being presented to us by these players and Luke Williams. We should count ourselves fortunate to witness such exceptional quality on display. All the goals last night were amazing, but I would like to single out Langstaff's goal, where he touched the ball twice and hit it with his laces into the far corner. The Notts squad is very impressive, and sometimes, I have to pinch myself to not get carried away as a fan, knowing there are still 12 games to go. The left-wring has created a well-oiled machine with the squad.
  13. I want to credit Dagenham for making a game of it because early on, Notts looked a step above them and that made them play a lot more carefully. Before we scored, they had a few good chances to take the lead themselves. It made the game very open and added to the excitement. Notts needed to up their game at times, as weak passes, poor decision making meant that a lot of build up play was wasted. Good goals, but once we retook the lead I feared they would pull level and they did threaten.
  14. Either team could have got another goal and won, but Notts grabbed the draw which is all that matters.
  15. A nice cup run would be nice for Notts, we haven't enjoyed one for awhile now. Rochdale aren't a difficult team to play against, going to their ground will give them the home comforts but if Notts buckles down and works hard. There's no reason why a victory couldn't end up coming back home to Meadow Lane.
  16. I think Notts will lose, sorry! I know nobody likes it when someone says this but I think we'll slip up against Tamworth.
  17. Hit them early, it could be a good game with plenty of chances. Allow them to control the game, then we might make a real game of it. Either way, I am looking forward to seeing what happens on the pitch. I am hoping Jim O'Brien makes a start, as I think he will get in behind Tamworth and make it tricky for them.
  18. Hopefully, the Notts team that are overcoming the recent defeats will continue to get ahead when they have fallen back. Or if it is later in the game and our attacking form has stopped being effective, this will be time for us time to time waste a little with passing football, otherwise after time we might generally fold as opposed to keep pushing.
  19. Give Matt Palmer the ball, make space and that will keep Notts moving forward. We have to be a lot more creative. I don't want to see Notts attempt to walk into the back of the net, someone has to try their luck from distance. With Cal Roberts out, we might be one dimensional.
  20. I've seen him play, he's a good prospect that should do just fine here. I am excited to see how he fits in, as Notts has needed someone with a bit of pace at the back, and whilst Kyle Cameron will be a loss. I think if he does well, Ian Burchnall should consider trying to bring him in for the full season.
  21. I think with some game time and faith, Lewis Knight could prove to be a very important player in time. If he plays out wide as a forward or more as a striker, his pace and potential will only grow with any chance given. I don't think he's done bad so far, and should be considered ahead of Elisa Sam who I believe will perform better this season.
  22. Now to add depth, but its great to have DKE all signed up for another season.
  23. Big loss IMO, quality midfielder who did much of the work and everything in between. Underrated in his ability to get Notts going.
  24. This could help Ian Burchnall win over the players further, a massive 3 points which has come at a good time. First half it looked likely to end up as a draw, I didn't think Notts would lose but turning it around for the win just didn't seem likely. All of the goals Notts scored could be reviewed and used to improve the performances over the next couple of weeks, we haven't been playing to space or attacking teams well but Woking ended up being broken down. I would also suggest the fitness of Notts helped somewhat too.
  25. I thought Enzio would inject something into the game, but so far he's killing every move by either not stretching the play or attempting to pull off the impossible. Very poor game from Notts, lacking everything needed to win a game.
