  1. Welcome, @Stuart McNeil. Its nice to be welcoming you to the Pride of Nottingham.
  2. I must say, I was rather impressed with Jimmy Knowles' performance and, despite being a tad lightweight, I believe he could have been a solid addition to our squad. True, his build might have made it challenging to contend with more imposing defenders, but let's not forget that his nimbleness and technical skills would have certainly been an asset. After all, Knowles has demonstrated significant potential, and with the right guidance and support from experienced teammates, it isn't far-fetched to imagine him overcoming this particular limitation. It's a shame we didn't secure his signing, for he truly could have blossomed into quite an exceptional talent within our ranks.
  3. It's quite disheartening to see a club like Notts consistently squandering talent like this, although, fortunately, it seems to be a past habit. One could argue that the club signed him far too early in his career, not allowing him the time required to properly develop and flourish. His loan spell, whilst offering a decent platform for growth, evidently became a contributing factor to the predicament the team found themselves in that season. The oversight and inability to effectively nurture young gifted players have historically plagued Notts, and one can only hope that such missteps have truly become a thing of the past, as it would be an immense disservice to emerging talents in the UK.
  4. Hello, @HarryNCFC0. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham. Would you like to tell us about yourself, such as how long you’ve been a Notts supporter and who your favourite current player is? We’re glad you joined us, and you can expect a warm welcome from many fans.
  5. It’s unfortunate for teams in this situation, as it’s not the fault of the fans. Everyone knows this and it’s disheartening to see a club in such a dire state. Wigan could really use some assistance to overcome this, but I’m not sure what to suggest. The Football League, Premier League and F.A should come together to discuss measures to prevent these issues.
  6. This is fantastic! Depression is terrible and while I don’t personally suffer from it, we all know people who do. Some of them are the kindest individuals with hearts of gold who deserve nothing but kindness. Having their club support them could be a great way to help them through it. Mental health needs more support in the UK.
  7. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, @Ohh Tommy Johnson. We have a friendly community with plenty to talk about. Don’t hesitate to start a discussion - we could always use more of those. Expect a warm welcome from many fans. We’re excited to have you here.
  8. Congratulations to Adam and Kayleigh on their new bundle of joy. Macaulay is a beautiful name and a fitting tribute to a Notts County legend. Wishing them all the best for the future.
  9. I’ve had periods where I wasn’t able to post as much due to other commitments in my life. I struggled with university and took my degree very seriously. I wasn’t always out partying and Leeds even paired me with a job. Hopefully, more members will come back when they have the time. We just need to keep doing what we’re doing, and more people should get involved. There’s no reason why we won’t see more members joining in. The boss is doing his best, as are we members!
  10. That’s looking great, boss! Real quality work.
  11. The game against Matlock might be played by the reserve team. I’m hoping that we’ll get to face another strong team at home. I’d prefer to avoid playing against lower-ranked teams, with the exception of Basford United. Their ground is usually a good place to play. @allardyces tash 2023-24 pre-season schedule Sat 8 July (3pm): Stoke City (H) Sat 15 July: TBC (H) Tue 18 July (7pm): AFC Telford (A) Sat 22 July (3pm): Boston United (A) Tue 25 July: TBC (A) Sat 29 July: TBC (A)

  14. Yes, I followed you yesterday. I’m not sure if you’ll be all that familiar with me, but I remember you! My name is Lewis and it’s great to follow you on Twitter and see you back.
  15. If we’re talking about the quality of the goal itself and not the build-up, then simply put, Castro, Taylor and Bostock all stand out. Those are exceptional goals. Personally, I think the best is John Bostock’s effort against Wrexham. This is just my opinion, but I don’t see anyone else being awarded Goal of the Season. Not a player who has left or played for us on loan, but someone the fans will get behind. I fully expect this to go to Macaulay Langstaff.
  16. With all due respect to @super_ram and his Derby County, I wouldn’t leave a newly-promoted team to join a side that has experienced as much difficulty as Derby has in recent years. I know Notts had been relegated when we first acquired Rubem Rodrigues and the situation is quite similar. The main point is that they have the ability to spend and, as a free agent, he’s likely to be easily disposable if they were to gain promotion to the Championship. I just feel that he would be regarded as nothing more than a temporary signing.
  17. Rest in peace, Who r ya!! You Pies!!. You were a legend on this forum and a great person. I will miss your posts and comments. My sympathies to your loved ones.
  18. Jodi Jones is an exceptional player with the ability to create and score goals out of thin air. He possesses a great deal of flair and creativity, and is capable of producing moments of magic on the pitch. During his loan spell, he was one of the best players in the league. The fact that he has now signed for Notts County permanently is a cause for great excitement.
  19. Great news for Notts County! Jodi Jones is a quality player who can make a difference in any game. He showed his talent and potential during his loan spell and I’m glad he’s staying with us for longer.
  20. Aaron Nemane has truly flourished since Cal Roberts' departure to Aberdeen. Interestingly, our team seems to have improved without Cal, and Nemane has demonstrated his impeccable abilities in the meantime. His speed and finesse with the ball are impressive, and watching him perform at his best is a genuinely thrilling experience.
  21. The decision to prevent a city centre celebration, in my opinion, was a missed opportunity. The celebration could have potentially boosted the local economy by generating income for the city's bars, pubs and food establishments. It's unfortunate that they didn't consider the positive impact that the celebration could have had on the community. Perhaps they underestimated the passion and enthusiasm of fans and underestimated the importance of communal celebration after a significant event. It's a shame, but there may still be opportunities for different types of celebrations in the future.
  22. Personally, I find the camaraderie and friendly banter between clubs quite enjoyable, so I don't particularly lean towards wishing any team harm or success. However, having them in the Premier League could certainly benefit Nottingham and possibly even Notts. In terms of potential talent to loan in, it's always worth keeping an eye on teams in higher divisions for potential players who could add value to our squad. All in all, a positive relationship between clubs brings more excitement to the sport and can ultimately benefit all involved.
  23. The IFollow platform isn't particularly bad when it comes to streaming, provided that you have a steady and reliable internet connection. In my experience, I have been able to stream games seamlessly using my mobile phone's data. Additionally, using a wired or Wi-Fi connection has shown significant improvements in the overall quality of the stream. Overall, a stable internet connection is a key factor in enjoying the streaming experience on IFollow without any disruptions.
  24. The area looks completely different now and I’m not sure if the changes are for the better. In my opinion, some of the older buildings were more attractive than many of the new ones. Judging from the picture, I can’t imagine people parking in town like they used to.
  25. I’m currently listening to it and I don’t usually pay much attention to what people say. They’re often just there for padding, but I noticed that David has chosen people who fans should be familiar with. I actually enjoy hearing from people who aren’t as well-known because they often provide better insights that aren’t generic or something you’ve heard before. So far, I think it’s very good.
