Leyton Orient manager Justin Edinburgh has died, only 49-years-old. How saddening to learn!

He was a firm fixture in the Tottenham Hotspur defence when I was a kid, he seemed to be a proper football man too and well respected. Such a loss to the footballing world.

Rest in Peace Justin Edinburgh.

So the speculation about Kion Etete future has been settled as he has officially left for premiership side Spurs. Now we have heard rumblings that he is since about February maybe March he is leaving to sign a development contract with spurs. WithΒ the financialΒ situation at Meadow lane what it is I’m not shocked they have cashed in on Kion and sold him but why not getting him back On a loan deal. To me it seems that the money rather than building for next season or looking to youth has taken over Kion didn’t start the first team under the current boss Neal ArdleyΒ and Harry Kewell but in reserves and youth game Kion has been scorning and playing well.Β

I wish him all the best with his future he is a good player and with the support he will flourish.Β Β

i have not seen her log in for ages, her name does not appear on the who has been online feature. one account has not been on since 2018 and the other @LozCloughSLOΒ was jan 15. ????

do you know @Chris, i thought she posted some interesting bits and started some good discussions.

shame really, i was hoping to see those updates on the slo role and im curious about that mp meeting.

So I normally ask any positives but right now I can’t find any after the 2-1 defeat to MacclesfieldΒ Β so my question is where do we go from here ?

In all my years I haven’t seen the club I have followed all my life in such a state. It’s disappointing that despite the takeover supposedly close to being concluded that the club seems to be lacking any forward thinking. There’s rumours that Hardy has issues now keeping Ilkeston Town a float. What happened to this nonsense about the club making plans despite the takeover not being completed? If the South Africans are interested, at this stage Hardy needs to make sure he’s doing all he can to get it a cross the line.

The squad should be progressing, fans wanting to put the terrible previous season behind them. The circus continues and if I had the chance to give any one at the club a piece of my mind I would.

Anyone wanting to go to our first pre season game away atΒ Nuneaton 6th JulyΒ Β here’s the ticket price list for that game.

From next season I take it there will be no more iFollow for us overseas fans - a bit of a blow. Although right now it does seem like a relief considering what I've been watching since August! Maybe they'll work out how to do replays by the time we're back ;)

So does anyone know anything about live streams or coverage in the Bananarama National Vauxhall Conference League? BT Sport appear to have the rights, but I'd need a VPN for that and in any case it hardly replaces iFollow. BT Sport offers a half-hour long highlights show on YouTube which I can access, doesn't seem too bad. Does anyone else have any ideas how I can get my Notts fix from the comfort of my sofa in Germany?

It seems Alan Hardy has been showing a new consortium around, this time a Danish one associated with the company Football Radar.

I know, I know, you're all tired of this... but surely it's a promising sign that other groups are interested, we have names and they appear to be real. And anyone is better than the property developers.

Brighton have released former Notts County loanee’s players Ben Barclay and Ben Hall.Β

Would you take them back at meadow lane.?

https://www.brightonandhovealbion.com/news/2019/may/five-under-23-players-retained-for-201920-season/

I was just browsing through pictures of @Dan's and I came across a few of the players who are missing. The likes Andy Kellett, Will Patching, Noor Husin etc.

Prior to the public knowledge, I was well aware about Elliott Ward triggering a contract if he started/playedΒ more.

However, it makes me baffled how wasteful the club can be. I haven'tΒ seen Andy Kellett, Will Patching or Noor Husin for a while, I'm certain there will be other players that seem to have been forgotten (most likely told that they'reΒ not wanted). The squad size this season, and previous ones have been a complete joke. I wished they could focus on actually signing players that offered something different and would fit in.

Andy Kellett for me has been missed used and one of the players who lit up this season when started.

Rob Milsom, Richard Duffy - they haven'tΒ been consistentΒ enough for me. I don'tΒ see why they gain praise for being beneath average, I mean I praised Duffy until he reverted to no-mans-land. Rob Milsom might be okay at defending at left back, he'sΒ piss poor going forward and very wasteful. Yet there are players who don'tΒ seem to be in the squad now.

I find it all rather bizarre, and a telltale sign that the club hasn'tΒ got any ideas on how to forge the team in some sort togetherness.

An Official statement from Notts concerning the recent reports that the advisor about the sale of Notts is living under a new name after he changed it due to being prosecuted.Β

Once the takeover is completed, do you want to see Notts focus on scouting as a means to improve the recruitment?

Nottingham Forest took on Tommy Johnson has as a scout after appointing Martin O'Neil, does the club need to have the best scouts available or just people with a good knowledge of football and understand what Notts needs?

I would take any former player over someone who might not understand the club.

i know its easy to sit here and say what can be done differently, that most of us would make mistakes if we owned a football club like notts and im not suggesting we know it all.

im just curious how other fans would run a club like notts...

what would your mission statement be? what key areas would you focus on? how would you learn from the clubs past?

Fair to say this month we'll be busy. Come back to this on July 3rd and see if much has changed if or when we sign players

There's more bad news breaking on Twitter...... A Daily Mirror story.......... Guess the EP will find out after the weekend!!!!Β

So what way or method should Notts use to build/recruit a squad for next season.

Should we buy players?

Trust in the youth system?Β

Should we do trials to recruit?

What about experienced players?

Do loan deals?Β

What are people’s thoughts on this Would love to know What people’s thoughts on this are.

Folks can you help me welcome @Phil Buxton to the pon community pleaseΒ

So with the sale of Notts CountyΒ still on going and still awaiting anΒ official announcement or update to due with the sale of the club. Now that there isΒ Β involvement of Alex May a convicted fraudster who has a criminal record fraud. Well it would appear that the National League are getting concerned as are we about the perspective Β identification ofΒ who will be buying the club. Despite the National League chiefs saying we will not relegated further but should we enter administration we will a 10 point deductionΒ despite our unknown future and the involvement of Alex May a know fraud criminal.Β Since there has not been any official word from Notts or Alan you can’t really blame the National League for being concerned about the new owners they have rules to stick to if they are to be fair.

https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/football-news/national-league-increasingly-concerned-over-2963031Β

Β

So despite our uncertainty over the sale of the club and our futureΒ it’s been confirmedΒ NottsΒ we will not be booted out the national league next season. But despite that the chiefs of the national league have said that Notts will face a 10 points deduction should we enter administration due to our final situation.Β

Β

So I know right now with the sale not going through as fast as we would like we are getting nervous and a bit frustrated but I’ve been thinking. We’ve waited this long for the sale if we have to wait a few more days I think it’s worth it as long as this time we can get guarantees offΒ  the new owner they have money the budget and they are not like munto was. As far as we know it could be something something simple holding up the sale. Neal Ardley may have been told he’s the manager next season and has been given his budget to spend he may already have air Mark players etc. Buying a club for this value isn’t like buying a house or so I’m told ???????? so I’m just hoping that even though there’s been no announcement yet behind the scenes work is taking place.

Well we know that Notts owe Basford UnitedΒ for training and use of there facilities but Notts have failed to pay because of the financial situation we currently find ourself in. In a article in the evening postΒ Basford United chairman Chris MunroeΒ has blasted the Notts Β hierarchy as totally classless. It’s safe to say that Alan has burned another bridge and angered the Basford UnitedΒ chairman this is not good.Β

Β

So the reports coming out of meadow lane (the evening post) say the take over is not yet complete I spoke to my sauce and the staff haven’t been told any different to us .. for god sake this is taking the Micky now ..!! Just bloody sell Hardy and stop mucking around am I alone is this motion.Β

My apologies for the out burst but this needs to be done because with out it we can’t buy players or put any plans in place.Β
