would you accept notts to move grounds?

rumours going round that it might be a concern once the takeover is finalised. i know the bid by may seemed to sway towards this but i would be disappointed to leave such a great ground.

From BBC News:

A lifelong fan of one of the founder members of the Football League has picked up a medal honouring one of his club's title winners at an auction.

The medal belonged to John Wren, who was part of Notts County's Second Division-winning side of 1922-23.

The lot was sold for Β£3,300 at Hansons Auctioneers in Etwall, Derbyshire.

The successful bidder - a 50-year-old from Nottingham who has held a season ticket since 1981 - said he was delighted with his winning bid.

"I'm a big collector of Notts County sporting memorabilia and this was something I was keen to own," he said.

the first thing i think that should have come out was clarification on weather or not neal ardley would remain as the manager of the club. this has not happened and it seems like some of the players, i.e jim o brien is questioning this themselves.

does this lead anyone else to think the new owners might be bringing someone else in?

im notΒ suggesting ardley should be sacked, i just think his future being unclear leads to speculation and i do feel the new owners might want to speak to him before deciding what happens.

So tomorrow is the championship final at Wembley between @super_ramΒ Derby and Aston Villa.Β

Both teams looking for an return to the premiership.Β

Just wanted to wish Derby and @super_ramΒ all the best for tomorrow and let’s hope @super_ramΒ will Finally see his beloved Rams make it to the premiership.Β

So we all know that Notts county has had some great some good some bad seasons some ok where us asΒ fans we are happyΒ Like any football team goes through this.Β

But what has been your personal favourite season.?

i dont watch much live tv, yet my mum always leaves the news on.

i have not paid attention to this for a long time as i felt it impacted the way i feel, i read all my news online and i can then control how i feel. its seemed to get all dark, twisted and motivated towards scaremongering.

what about you? do you watch the news?

Has the amended prices to the season tickets helped in your decision to renew your season ticket or buyΒ your first season ticket.?

So here’s the retained and released list for the magpies.Β

I have no proof but I am almost certain that Dennis will stay for the National League campaign. He now has 3 relegations in a row with Chesterfield and Notts so therefore I think teams won't give him the time of day as he looks to be a burden.

I think this will benefit us next year though, hopefully a good pres-season under his belt and we might actually get to see a fit Kristian Dennis who can score for fun in the National League.

Can we welcome our latest magpie to the pon community @Grezza

Can we all welcome our new member to the community please folks @Pvfc fans

its been awhile since this has last been done, it would be good to see the site pushing 80-100 people to sign the pon register. anyone skipping it will have to deal with @GrannyPie ;)

#1 me

hoping to see 80 beaten (please leave a short comment).

Guys can you help me welcome @OwlInPeaceΒ to the pon community.Β

Matt Tootle send out a very heartfelt and Β genuine tweet apologising for the relegation and his injury plagued season and hinted on being with the magpies next season.Β

I for one would love to see Matt design one of the only genuine few players that cares about the team and the fans and does feel what he says.Β

β€œIt is 51-49 call and I have to just come down on the side of regretting it. I expected the next two years of my life to be a Βsuccessful, Βfun-filled adventure but it was the wrong sort of adventure with the demise of Paragon and Notts County’s relegation.

β€œIt has been a horrendous six months – the worst of my life. On paper it has cost me Β£35m. My wife is not happy – she didn’t want me to buy Notts County in the first place. We all know money can’t buy you success, but it normally gives you a pretty good chance of it.”

First ground: Meadow LaneΒ

Last ground: County Ground

Best ground: WembleyΒ

Worst ground: Whaddon Road

Hi all Notts fans.

On behalf of everyone at MTFC I would just like to say I really hope you can bounce back next season. I watched my first ever Macc game at Meadow Lane and the place has quite some meaning to me.Β Today’s result will hurt, and it’ll hurt for quite some time. I experienced it this time seven years ago.Β

I wouldn’t wish the Vanarama National League on anyone, it’s absolutely toxic down there, and we all know you don’t belong there.Β

I hope you manage to sort your issues off the field out and find an owner who has the clubs best interests at heart and become more financially stable within years to come.Β

I would’ve loved you to stay up with us, but unfortunately it wasn’t made to be.Β

Until we meet again (hopefully in the EFL), I wish you all the best.Β

Silkmen til I die.Β

Schofield 5 didnt do a lot wrong, really needed him to make some big saves

Rose 6 One of the few to come out with any credit. Got the engine and the stature

Bird 5.5 a player under used this season, deserves better.

Stubbs 5 Horrible missed header from the corner that could have made it 0-2

Brisley 5 Swansong til he limped off injured

Milsom 3 Maybe an unnecessarily harsh score, but for an experienced pro, committing needless fouls right up by your opponents corner flag is not what was needed. Failure to put in a good header, gifted Swindon's third

O'Brien 3 seem to go missing for large parts of the game

Doyle 4 Don't wish to see a Doyle dead ball taker ever again.

Vaughan 3 Just needed to be "nasty" and clip the guy's heels for the first. AΒ few brief moments of some nice passes but overall a passenger that should not be in the team

Hemmings 4 Dispatched penalty well but again lacks the commitment to chase down lost causes that causes defenders to make mistakes

CMS 6.5Β MotM ...won penalty, chased everything...

Subs

Enzio 4 Couldnt convert the chances that came his way..nice ball to CMS prior to the penalty

Stead 4 Thanks for the memories

Β

Ardley /Cox 2 Lost count at the number of opposition teams passing better than us... no game plan, no structure, no idea...just please walk away now

Looks like we won’t have to wait much longer to find out the identify of our new owners! A statement could be made later on this week, just a couple of minor queries to sort. Hopefully it all goes through. It’s encouraging to see they still want to purchase us even if we drop into the National League (which looks increasingly likely now).

Also news about the other bidders; Alex May and Norman Smurthwaite. Not much about May, but Smurthwaite is the Port Vale owner. Port Vale are also in the middle of a takeover which would mean Smurthwaite will soon be the ex-owner. However, you’d be hard pushed to find a Vale fan with a good opinion of the guy…

Fingers crossed the South African’s are a good bunch…
