  1. It seems that forest Green are the only team in England who are vegan with solor  wind power carbon neautral.

If you fancy a meat pie at half time I’m afraid your in for a shock because they only serve vegan food and there sales are through the roof owner Dale Vince claimed.

Also the team has been converted to vegan food as well even home some of the players are san well.

I’ve added the video below that explains it all.

  2. So Southgate lead England to the best finish for England in the World Cup in over two decades. He has an approach on bring youth through seems to be working as we beat Spain 3-2 in a blockbuster of a game.

But my question has he done enough to change your mind about him being the manager.?

  3. Is anyone watching the Apprentice?

We’ve watched it from the very first time it appeared on TV we do like it but it seems to get sillier, I often wonder if it isn’t all stage managed and a fraud, surely these so called successful business men and women can’t be that stupid.

This week they had to make and sell doughnuts the losing team decided to make one with chocolate and lashings of chilli sauce, needless to say it was inedible. I often buy a dark chocolate bar that has a hint of chilli and it goes well together but not the amount they put in. 🤮

  4. Good morning PoN how are we all feeling after yesterday’s result? I know @super_ram will be a happy chappy but the rest of us will be a bit down. Oh well it’s only football.

I’m glad to hear @GrannyPie is improving slowly it sounds like the consultant is on the ball and she’ll get proper treatment.

Our son flew to the New Orleans yesterday for his work and we were glad to get a message at 1.30am to say he’d landed safely, he knows we worry, we’ll be glad when he’s back home safe.

It looks like it’s going to be a good day weatherwise so we might get out and about a bit today.

Have a great day whatever you are doing.

I would be interested to see the goals, I will dig them out in a moment but this result is a shambles. The squad had plenty of time to prepare and the game should have changed going 2-0 not leaving it off.

I listened to the game yesterday and I've now caught up on the highlights (what highlights?!) and it's not good.

We were so deep they were practically walking the ball into the net, they literally did for the 2nd goal which might be the most pathetic goal we've conceded all season. Fitz has gone back to standing under his crossbar, does Crossley seriously coach him to do this?

The tactics were wrong, 4-1-4-1 away from home! We're not playing Rolls-Royce factory boys here, it was pretty much 5 attackers and one midfielder. We were so, so, so open in the midfield Bury could literally pass it out of defence and into their attackers.

After the game Harry Kewell said of the tactics it was going to be hard to pull it off, but he's supposedly all for simple football isn't he? And he said part of the plan was to allow the wide players to get crosses in? I don't get it.

I thought things were on the up, but to lose 4-0, it really knocks us right back down. I'm not looking forward to Tuesday...

If it worked people would be praising Kewell, I respect the fact he tried something that failed and he's held is hands up. That's only right!

      Let's not jump the gun.

  7. So who’s heading to the stadium MK on Tuesday night for our away game with MK Dons.?

  8. As reported by our sister website, football manics, it’s emerged that despite all the unrest and arguments with Jose mourino Luke Shaw has signed a new long term contract with Manchester United.

Luke said earlier “I’m very proud to sign my contract and continue my career with this fine club”.

Luke Shaw, along with some others, is set to be a free agent next summer and Luke Shaw was the odds on Favourite to be the first out the door.

But bridges with Luke and Jose have been built and all problems seem to be put  behind them, in fact Jose has praised Luke for his attitude in recent weeks despite there rather public bust up.

Jose paid praise and respect to Shaw by saying “Luke deserves this contract he’s understood the development process he has worked hard at every level he always believes in himself which is a great attitude to have.” With the contract being long term one has to wonder if Luke just became a member of  Jose’s future plans. Either way Luke will remain with United for the foreseeable future.F3098058-8BC3-4881-B602-CB42728A77E9.png

I’m happy that Luke weathered the storm with Jose he is a good player finally getting back in the England squad and now United.

Whats your thoughts guys and girls

  10. Good morning PoN it’s been another cold night with a minimum overnight low of 3 degrees.

I’m up early again I set the alarm for 7 am because I’m doing the park run today but I always wake up earlier so no need for the alarm this morning it was 6.15am, the trouble is I’ll be dropping asleep tonight when I want to watch match of the day.

I’ll be doing the park run on my own today as my son is travelling to the States for a conference, it’ll be cold so I’ll wear my leggings.

Later I’ll be listening to Notts on the radio hoping for another win.

In yesterday’s daily chat thread @CliftonMagpie suggested opening up the discussion to include world affairs not just personal things, I agree, the concept of a daily chat thread is to discuss anything under the sun so please feel free to discuss what you like in here but perhaps steer clear of politics for the sake of harmony and of course football related chat should go in the appropriate section.

So come on folks get chatting, let’s keep the “community feel” going, pretend your chatting over the garden fence to your neighbour. 😂

  11. Are there any fans of the tv show master chef here on Pon weather it be English or Australian version of the show.

  12. So this Saturday County will head to gigg lane to face Bury.

Normally the attendance game would be home only but a member suggested we do it away which is a great idea.

Below is a pic of the official numbers the stadium holds just help.4671AC60-A2A5-458F-847D-B7A3C7E607D6.png

So the game stays the the same the guess closet to whole attendance and away attendance which is us.

So number one is the whole attendance  home and away.

Then the second one the away fans us (notts)

i will reveal the winners on Saturday good luck guys happy guessing.

  13. So it’s caption this time taken last season when we faced Coventry in the second leg of the of the playoff semi final.

@super_pie will choose the winning caption on Saturday night and I will reveal it.

Good luck guys and girls 3CE53D4A-4125-478B-AA33-C13F4568714B.jpeg

  15. Thought I would have a gander through Netflix recently and have started to watch The Royle Family from start to finish. Weirdly I like watching programmes about families and peoples lives (Gavin & Stacey, Benidorm, Stella, Friday Night Dinner, Inbetweeners).

I am only 19 but love some old classiscs: Only Fools & Horses, On the Buses, Phoniex Nights, Max and Paddy.

I know there is a mix of ages here on PON so what are a few stand out TV series's post 1995 that you can sit down and watch anytime?

  16. Saturday's Fixtures:

    Gillingham v Southend United

    Oxford United v Plymouth Argyle

    Scunthorpe United v Peterborough United

    Colchester United v Crawley Town

    Crewe Alexandra v Bury

    Newport County v Stevenage

  17. Good morning everyone, it’s been a cold night out there, the coldest so far I think, I’ve got a gadget that measures the outside temperature and the minimum overnight low was 3 degrees.

Mrs Big Tone has a friend coming round for coffee this morning so I’ll probably make myself scarce and wash the car, I’ve not done it since we bought it and that’s nearly two months ago, tut tut.

No running today I’ll save myself for the park run but we’ll probably have a little walk to get some steps in, I did 12,000 yesterday. :clapping:

My favourite night of the week tonight, curry night, we are having Chicken Vindail and I've got a bottle of McEwens whiskey beer which was on special offer at Morrison’s, I’m not sure I’ll like it as it’s beer blended with whiskey so I only got one just to try it, for research purposes you understand.

  18. Blue Peter is 60 today. I hear our younger readers saying “who is Blue Peter?” No it’s not an elderly Chelsea fan called Peter, it’s a children’s programme which started when I was a lad.

Who remembers it? Anyone got a Blue Peter badge?

  19. With the arrival of Elliott Ward, Jamie Turley and waiting in the wings Shaun Brisley, Ben Hall [Loan] and Pierce Bird.

Does Richard Duffy have a future at Notts County?

  20. So Alan Smith has called it a day on his playing career. The former Notts man said playing lower league football drove him to exstend his playing career playing for Notts for 4 years. Alan reflected on a injury that sustained while playing at United and the pain it caused him and playing through the pain. His time with Notts he loved every minute of it alao where he got his coaching badges that help him in the next step of his career. Alan is set for the next stage of his career in America coaching kids after 20 years of playing.

Fantastic career I wish him well

  21. So the great underdogs Gilbralta have made it two straight competive wins.

After defeating Almenia 1-0 and getting there first competive win Gilbralta headed in to there match against Lichtenstein with confidence.. so much so they defeated Lichtenstein 2-1 in a thriller of an incounter despite going behind after just 15 minutes how ever In the 60th minutes Gilbralta found there back bone and scored 2 goal which they held on to and claimed there second win.

  22. Good morning PoN it’s a bit nippy and dark out there as I write this at 7am.

At last the settee as picked up yesterday by two very jolly chaps from Treetops Hospice, it’s a good well made settee which cost a packet when we bought it so hopefully it does someone some good and has a few more years in it yet.

Today I might go for a run I’ve not been since last Saturday as I’ve not felt 100% but I need to get out running.

    Have a great day everyone.
