TEAM NEWS
Rotherham still have a number of injury concerns with goalkeeper Scott Shearer and defenders Kari Arnason and Craig Morgan amongst those still out injured.
Midfielder Lee Frecklington (back) should be available.
Notts County are without suspended trio Dean Leacock, Jamal Campbell-Ryce and Lee Hughes.
Striker Hughes could be replaced by new loan signing Chris Iwelumo, but it is not yet clear if Watford will give him permission to play.
VIEWS FROM THE TRAINING GROUND
Rotherham boss Steve Evans told BBC Radio Sheffield:
"It's the magic of the FA Cup, isn't it? We couldn't have had a tougher home draw given their away record. They play like a good Championship club on the road.
"If it's a similar theme to the game as we had when we played Stevenage then the fans will have had value for money.
"The players here seem to have something within them that helps them to rise to the big occasion.
"If we had our full squad available then I'd say we were favourites for this match. I genuinely believe that."
Notts County manager Keith Curle told BBC Radio Nottingham:
"People are going to go there with an expectancy because of our away form.
"From being a division above as well, people are going to think it is automatic that we will go through to the next round.
"I can assure you it won't be that easy. It will be a very difficult task."
Personally one of my favourite points in football, as the league starts to take formation and the start of the FA Cup. We seem to be viewed as a team Rotherham much like they did when we was in league two, I have also read interesting comments on twitter and the odd general football forum regarding some of our players they plan to direct taunts too.
This is a game we shouldn't let out of grasp, it's a side I see us winning fairly easily on paper but we know this competition turns boys into men. (to speak) In Rotherham's case a poor, unless side into possibly one who can knock it about at least against us. ![]()
I will be listening as usual to the match on the radio, I'm opting out of the magpie player due to issue's and one personal matter.

So Milton Keynes 'Dons' host AFC Wimbledon in round 2 of the FA Cup. Not surprisingly it'll be shown live on ITV1. Quite a few AFC Wimbledon supporters are not planning on travelling to MK because they dont want to give money to MK. I can also see where they're coming from when they say looking at fans in mk colours would just be too much,
Could be a fiesty affair! Vinny Jones to come out of retirment for one match? ;D

Huge game tommorow at Meadow Lane. Part of me isn't particularly confident - Notts are our sluggish home form versus Swindon with their brilliant away form. But another part of me is confident we'll get a much needed home win and put in a brilliant performance. Lets hope thats the case.
I'll be at Weymouth v Leamington but will be checking the score regularly.
COYP!!

Notts County have signed Watford striker Chris Iwelumo on loan until 1 January. The 34-year-old has made eight appearances for the Hornets this season, scoring once for Gianfranco Zola's side.
He could make his debut in Saturday's home match with Swindon.
The Magpies are the 14th club of the Scotland international's career, including spells in Denmark and Germany.
Meanwhile, the Magpies have confirmed Lee Hughes will be staying with them after his move to Port Vale was not completed before Thursday's deadline.
I'm personally optimistic, he's someone who should do well at our level and we have to give him a chance. It's also a short loan, so I'm not sure if this indicates that he'll be a second part player who will be backup mostly but if he does well I'm sure he could force his way into the site.
I was hoping to see a Defender come in, someone who could play on both left and right back.

I'm hoping we can break our recent form which least nobody can say we aren't consistent. This is really a game I'd like to us win, as I don't like the comment I've been reading in the media but not only because of this, I feel Preston is exactly the type of opposition we need to be beating. Having said that, I don't really rate them very highly.
No jinxing but I feel it's going to be a very tight game, I think we'll win 1 - 0.
Changes are it's going to be pretty eventful.
I think we'll take around 300 odd fans. (Hopefully they'll chant and cheer throughout the match) I'll be glued to the radio, listening to uncle colin and deano.
What does everyone else think?

I'll be putting together a promotion pack, so we can add userbars to our signatures, banners, avatars etc.
Anyone's welcome to join in this and create extra additions, I'd really appreciate any help with this as I don't also find time to fill packs with a lot of choice and I'm not very "talented" when it comes to using photoshop for that matter.

I totally forgot about this, I'm not really bothered to be honest but I will be watching. I think as always Sweden will try to trouble us, so it's going to possibly more interesting than normal. I hope Raheem Sterling does make his debut, a-side from that it's just another over-paid parade.

It's a shame I couldn't make this one, although I did walk by the ground when Bishop scored and the sound was very loud. (Made me wished I was inside the ground) I noticed this iffy looking Notts fan watching from the main gates too, which was very weird because he asked me what I was doing outside. It sounded like it was a much better game, I'm going on comments I've heard of course.
1 - 1
Not that disappointing for me, hopefully a starting point for us to build on some good form at home.

I've read a few reports today that have mentioned Sol's willing to take a major pay cut to move to newcastle. Now I personally think he's holding out for the wrong reason, as in my opinion he's only hanging around for a premiership offer and that seems to include any team that may go up. Nothing wrong with that, but he's pretty much past an international place and the only chance he has is for "experienced" though as a brit I think england need more youngsters to get a chance and there's really better call such as upson.
When the world cup comes he'd probably need a zimmer frame because he's already pretty slow.
I wish him luck with whoever he choices, personally I don't want him at meadow lane. I think he should consider a team like Hull City or another team maybe wolves who his experience could hold key to establishing them within a safety position.
What's your thoughts?

Fingers crossed for another 3 points on the road tonight. Difficult game against another side with new manager syndrome but I think we'll get the right result.
Predictions? I'll say 3-2 Notts

Me and William got married at Notts County FC on the 29th of May 2010. I thought I would share the photos with the folkes on here. We had Harry (our son), who was 3 & a half months at the time, in his Notts County football kit with his little england boots on too. Me and William both had Notts badges on our outfits somewhere also. We named all the tables after our favourite players of the 2009-2010 lineup aswell.
Here is the thread for all the photos:

Martin Allen will no doubt be looking forward to this game which will make it very interesting. We're on a very good run, so I'm hoping it will continue by having a good result today. MK are being touted for promotion, though I think this is the type of game we're we should come out strong.

Notts County boss Martin Allen will make seven changes to his starting line-up.
Jon Harley and Charlie Allen will start and the Magpies boss has revealed he will field a midfield of Hamza Bencherif, John Spicer, Ricky Ravenhill and Ishmel Demontagnac.
Striker Karl Hawley will lead the line as top scorer Lee Hughes is on the substitutes' bench with a number of youth players.
Defender Julian Kelly was sent off during Saturday's 1-0 defeat to MK Dons and will serve a one-match suspension as a result.
Striker Ben Burgess took a heavy knock to his knee in training and will sit out while Alan Sheehan (sore metatarsal) and Stephen Hunt (ankle) have been ruled out.
Chesterfield will be without left-back Nathan Smith.
The defender has been called up to the Jamaica squad for the first time and will be available for their World Cup qualifier against Honduras.
He will also miss the league trip to Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Spireites manager John Sheridan should have everyone else available for the match at Meadow Lane after Jonathan Grounds (ankle) came through Saturday's defeat to Colchester unscathed.
Coach Mark Crossley insists they will field a strong side against the Magpies, telling Chesterfield's official website: "We want to go and try and win the game, so we'll be as strong as possible."

I think this is a game most of us would expect to win. I heard the line up at super rams, which sounding very interesting. I think Uncle Colin mentioned that 4 fringe players was starting and I see we're 1 - 0 up now. Karl as finally scored!! I hope it gives him a good push to get a few more.
