i absolutely agree with you @TheSkipper, its very early days and we cant read to much into the barrow game but defensively we did look better. it will take time but i think maynard is a good fit and if we can help him settle in quicker, i think the results will come. away from home will be his biggest test but i am happy with the appointment.

I completely support Stuart Maynard. I don’t understand why some fans can’t reserve their judgement and give a manager a fair chance with a series of games before criticising his lack of experience. Just like Luke Williams was still learning about management, it will be the same for Maynard. I think he did quite well in his first game against Barrow. We didn’t just play defensively, but made changes to enhance our attacking play. All we needed was that second goal. So far, the signs are promising.

I understand the concerns, but I believe we should allow him some time. I don't see his appointment as a bad thing; he appears to be the suitable successor to Luke Williams. I don't expect to notice significant changes until several games have been played, but I have faith that Stuart Maynard will lead us to the playoffs, at the very least.

We must remember that Stuart Maynard has all the resources he needs to succeed in his role, with the Reedtz ensuring he has everything necessary. The coaching team is superior to many at this level.

His tactics and coaching style should start to show as we play more games, but we’re still a few matches away from seeing the complete picture. I wish fans would support him and wait to see the outcome. I firmly believe that Maynard will prove his worth. His introduction at Meadow Lane was a nice touch. Let’s rally behind him.

That’s a good point. The security of a three-year contract and a pay rise certainly mitigates some of the risk. It’s great to see such dedication being rewarded.

The Reedtz brothers have chosen Stuart Maynard, and that’s good enough for me. I have faith in their choices and think that Maynard has a lot of potential. He might need some time to adjust to things at Meadow Lane, as it’s a big leap from Wealdstone, no disrespect to them. But he’s inheriting a good team and we might see a few more join. I reckon there’s still scope to look for a player like Matt Palmer and perhaps another to play in the striker’s support role.

I am excited about the future for Notts under Stuart Maynard, from the moment he was appointed from his first interview, to his first match, we have all witnessed the reason why the Reedtz  brothers appointed this Head Coach.

There is a real buzz around the club since the date of his appointment and his first match against Barrow demonstrated why that buzz is warranted.

The match may not have been spectacular, due to Barrow's negative tactics, and Notts didn't make a good start, but in the second half we saw some of Stuart's tweaks to the fore with an improved defensive performance. 

We can see that Stuart is going to work to ensure that Notts are a really good all round side instead of a brilliant side going forward but poor in defending & that is giving me confidence for the remaining games.

I'm looking forward to playing Mansfield after more work has been done to in tweaking our shape and way of playing.

Early signs are promising, and our fan base needs to give Stuart Maynard a fair chance. We are performing well in League Two, and if he can make progress with our away performances, things might improve. It will take time, and unfortunately, I believe some players are not quite up to the task we need, but Maynard will identify this, and things should improve more quickly over time.

Some supporters will always have doubts about any manager, no matter their background, but Stuart Maynard seems to have a certain quality. He appears more promising than Luke Williams, whose track record was hardly noticeable before he arrived here, and yet he did amazing things. We need to reignite that spark in our play and secure some important victories. The Mansfield match is crucial for this reason. If we can succeed there, it will boost support for Maynard. Given the points Mansfield has been losing recently, I think we have a good chance of upsetting them.
