hopefully, the goals and the words from luke williams, gives macaulay langstaff more of a boost. he does work so hard in games and i think we brought him into the game very well against accrington stanley. langstaff looked like he would be a constant threat and playing the ball to his feet does make a huge difference.

Macaulay Langstaff never stops running, not only to get onto chases but also against defenders and the opposition keeper. He’s more than a warrior; he’s just relentless with his pressing. It’s similar to Cedwyn Scott, which is why I think they both work so well together. I am pleased for Langstaff to have the spotlight on him. He’s showing that there are goals for him in League Two, and against Accrington Stanley, I thought he looked fantastic on goal.

The takeaway comment for me is Luke Williams’ light-hearted joke about being able to talk about Macaulay Langstaff because the transfer window has closed. That made me chuckle, Langstaff is a good striker who always poses a threat.
