has everyone gone back to work?

its around the time everyone fears i suppose, horrible after having such a good time to fall back into the dull days ahead. it looks like i will be joining weymouth and looking for a new job. at least i can look forward to seeing how everyone is doing here!

Well back to work for me today. Just finished and on the train home. Rushed out the door today as first days back are always guaranteed to be rubbish!!!

It would seem most have gone back to work, dull weekend and today's not much better!

Hope those who have gone back had a good day, this time of year is depressing! Sorry to read your comment Liam.

Yes back at work again. Doesn't feel like I've been off! Roll on the weekend.

Well seen as im a stay at home mum, i don't exactly get a day off. Some don't see it as a job but it is something i hardly ever get a break from. I do enjoy though so i can't really complain.

Yea, first day back today with the next 3 months being a nightmare for my profession. Not a great feeling!

@Cobby what do you do if you dont mind me asking?

i was working in a warehouse, dispatching various items. very boring job but paid well, im not looking forward to job hunting.

I work as an auditor at one of the big 4 accounting firms. It's an area I'm looking to get out of once the time is right.

On a related note, I passed my final accounting exam in December, wooo.

Job hunting is a nightmare, so I don't envy you there. You just have to keep your head up and persevere when things don't seem to be going your way.

I was back at work on Thursday, It has been a nightmare trying to keep the wheels at the bottom in these winds.

Was it a storm or had @super_ram had too many sprouts?

Yes I had some sprouts but, thankfully for everyone,I had no adverse reaction from them.I would suggest the problem was closer to home.

Give me 2 hours and I'll have this confirmed!:lol:

I don't believe it until I've at least looked into the facts, seriously. @cheeky~k8 and I, we're very watchful of the menu when Super's in town.:shifty::angel:

erm ok to the above.

@Cobby I thought it might be something artistic, media related. how is auditing? congrats for passing your test.

Don't remind me about job hunting. I've spent over 2 months in the doldrums after my last employer completely screwed me over. Luckily it appears to be coming to an end, but it's left me pretty bitter.

I wish I was in a creative job.  Instead I went for the boring (but dependable route).  Audit is something a lot of accountants do for 3 years (as part of the training course the firms provide) but then move out of to other areas once qualified.

@Joe Jones Fingers crossed your employment situation get sorted sooner rather than later

Thought I'd resurrect this after I finally put in a full day since Xmas! Went back last monday, but came home again ill and spent all last week in bed (and on the laptop typing on here!)

Full day back at work now completed and I'm knackered.

Saying all that I hope the likes of Liampie have found something. I don't envy you at the mo. Best of luck out there.

Are you still feeling under the weather? Hope you feel better soon.

I keep getting a cold like bug, lucky it's only bothered me early on and then I snap out of it. There's a lot of bugs going around at the moment!

No mine was my stomach, but thanks anyway. I have IBS, which basically either goes quickly or goes to severe pain at one side of my stomach. Normally settles after a few days, which it is doing now thankfully. I can now get back to eating normally again!

Painkillers such as Tramadol etc just take the edge off it, but boy do they make you feel weird! Not had such a weird sensation since uni when the drugs then weren't prescription!!!

Well I've had a couple of interviews, but I'm yet to hear back from either of them. Absolutely gets on my nerves, as it's leaving me hanging.

I've been in that situation myself and it is so frustrating especially when they don't get back to you.

I hope you hear something soon and it's good news.

Glad to hear you're on the mend @hissingdwarf and good luck to the jobseekers

I had the majority of december off, though I am lucky that I choose when I work.

Its going to be busy month, so it was nice to relax. December is a slow month, not much interest but the new year always brings demand back. Good Luck with the interview Joe and Liam, keep your chin up. Something will come up :)
