CB - Jacob Bedeau Currently with Morecambe, Jacob has emerged as one of the most consistent players in League Two having played 43 games this season. Still just 24, he also has the potential to get better and develop in the future. Having rejected previous offers, Morecambe will find it hard to keep their man, with a new contract yet to be signed at the club. The perfect chance to snap him up, this Summer.

Now the Magpies need an older experienced Defender  to help Matt Platt and Jacob Bedeau settle in and help improve their game. Certainly something Jim O'Brien could have helped with if he was still at the Lane in Coaching Role.

@Wheelbarrow repair man

I think we need a good tenacious Willie Carlin like defensive midfielder to add to these two excellent defenders.

@ARLukomski has shared why this is potentially the best signing we'll make ahead of this upcoming season. I'm very impressed, as I am extremely familiar with what Jacob Bedeau brings to us.

He has plenty of room to grow, his potential has caught the eyes of bigger clubs and his decision to sign for Morecambe actually gave them some solid ground - as he could have easily chosen a bigger club but has grown further due to getting regular starts under them. Very good defender, who's awareness and ability should make the world of a difference for us. Massive signing on paper!

First Interview of Jacob Bedeau after he signed for Notts.

it looks like he was one of morecambes main players and possibly a big reason as to why they finished where they did instead of further down. not the greatest ending for them but his stats makes it encouraging for us.

I’m really pleased to see Notts are concentrating on the defence, if only they’d done that in January.

Good Interview, young Jacob sounds very Positive and at 24 will hopefully be a Main Stay of the Notts Defence for seasons to come. Welcome to the Lane Jacob here's to a Good First season in the Black & White Stripes.

Villa signed him for around £900,000 when he was only 17, so he’s clearly a very talented player. Played lots of games even though he’s 24. From what I can gather he’s decent on the ball, strong and quick – sounds pretty much like the perfect CB!

Morecambe, considering they seem to be in a bit of state and only have a small budget, seem to recruit very well these past few years. Sadly for them though, their loss is our gain.

We've had a really good exciting few weeks with the two incomings, & Notts are clearly demonstrating that they mean business in the promotion stakes next season.

I hope to see more players come in, and I hope those season ticket sales can pick up & pass last seasons figure.

Good , steady progress for Notts with 2 seemingly very good signings so far and long term injured players to return. Getting there.

Jacob Bedeau appears to be a solid acquisition from a competing club that didn’t perform as well as us last season. This is how Notts traditionally assembled a team, by recruiting players from underperforming teams who possess potential. Bedeau seems to be a very serious individual. If his photos are any indication, I hope he brings that intensity to his game. It could mean that we have a highly focused defender who is all about the game.
