Notts County Mobile App

Featured Replies

the new site is very slow, i hope it improves because its barely usable on mobile and even with an app, i do tend to rely on the mobile site, or at least did when notts used to have one as part of the efl site. back when you could login to any clubs website with the same details.

Been trying to sign up for it most of the day.... Bloody annoying....Β

I’ve downloaded the app but it doesn’t recognise my log in, which I know is right.Β :huh2:

I'm not really interested in the app. Websites should be more like PON and stable on phones. The new site is terribly slow and sometimes unresponsive. I'm unsure what benefits the app would have since they often lack the full features of the site.

Hmm, I hope it gets better.

To anyone trying to log in, you need to make a new account on the club website first, and then sign in with that on the app. That bit worked for me. I downloaded it so I could cast PiesPlayer, but it crashes every time I select it. Looks like the laptop again then!Β

Not impressed, very buggy. It crashes every time I try the video tab, with random freezing and slowdowns. What works is nice, but I don’t see much advantage over just having a website that does the same thing.

The only thing I really want it for is PiesPlayer. I suspect it isn't actually finished yet, but was rushed out in time for the start of the new season. I hope it gets better.

It took me countless times to log in to the mobile app. I never changed the details as they are automatically saved when I first entered them. I just persisted and eventually, I was hit with a welcome page and an option about my account.

I do like the app. It’s much better than the website at the moment, even though it’s buggy.

All this should have been tested with a small group of fans who are good with technology. Considering the site and apps are in use with other clubs, it makes you wonder why we’re having issues.

The app has been updated and PiesPlayer now actually works. I actually managed to stream the highlights of the Tranmere game to Chromecast, which is something iFollow was never able to do.

Unfortunately the audio commentary was missing for a lot of yesterday's match, although the club said it wasn't a fault at their end and many other clubs were also affected.Β

I’m not complaining, but I don’t see why the Game Changer software couldn’t have been smoother from the start. They sell the app, site, and add-ons to clubs, and I imagine it costs a fair bit of money. That said, some issues are normal, but the number of problems since launch is a bit worrying, considering it’s a standard package used by all their clients. It was probably not set up correctly or something.

It’s a good app when it works. I can’t complain too much because only the video section doesn’t seem to want to work. I haven’t seen any updates, but I am hoping in time it will be fixed.

I’ve given up trying to log in but I think I can see most things anyway, does anyone know what the difference is between being logged in and viewing when logged out?

I haven't tried using it, but I think it's a good idea. Apps tend to be optimised for content, and it should be useful once it's fixed. However, I'll stick to using Chrome and the website on my phone. With 5G speeds, I don't need to clutter my phone with an app that duplicates what some of my existing apps already do.

I tried the app on the way to Tranmere, it actually looks very promising.

I did notice that it would randomly crash, and at times my phone would ask me to wait for it to load. Something which only happens with slow apps, but I am sure the kinks will be fixed in time. I honestly don't like using the OS site, it's extremely slow and worse on mobiles. The application swiftly loaded the article content. I have not checked if the update fixes any of the issues I experienced, but I couldn't watch anything.

If the actual site was a bit more optimised it wouldn't really need the app, but it does make it more compatible with phones.

I thought the ticker on the app was good during the Shrewsbury game. Better than the Google live score, as the timeline on that only provides updates on goals, cards and substitutions, where as, the ticker on the Notts app is more detailed and provides updates more regularly.Β
