Matty Platt booked for a body check. That's Platt's fourth yellow card of the season.

Notts break down the left hand side to Jatta who's just beaten, by the defender corner to Notts.

A WIN FOR NOTTS

A clean sheet and an ugly win. But a win is a win.

Good gritty & determined win today from Notts against a well organised side. I think the substitutions from Maynard at half time helped to change the game in Notts favour.

Putting Abbott into the centre of midfield & bringing on Tsaroulla for Gordon at half time gave Notts, much more impetus by freeing up Crowley & they looked much more threatening as a result.

Stuart will be very pleased with the fourth clean sheet of the season & how the goalkeeper and defensive line played to keep out Wimbledon who were dangerous at times.

Pleased that Matty Platt as got a goal and the goal was from a set piece corner. Certainly not a Notts type of goal but those type of goals come in handy in a close game like this.

Another tough fixture to come with Barrow next. Onwards we go.

It wasn't pretty but it is 3 points against a promotion rival. Sometimes you have to dig out results and Notts did that today.

It was a much-needed win and it’s big in the sense of we’ve beaten a team that will likely finish top 10 and stopped the mini 0-1 home run. And I am happy with the result it but wasn’t quite the performance I was hoping for.

Maybe I have high standards after being spoiled with our attacking displays but the first half was really poor, probably the worst we’ve played all season yet we actually went into the break not 1-0 down for once! I just wanted us to look like we had more of an idea about against teams who are happy for us to have the ball, but we didn’t. We were really slow and almost awkward on the ball.

We still struggled to create any real decent chances in that game, especially before the goal, Jatta had the best chance right before it actually. That was a grind it out type of result and whilst those type of performances are needed, I was hoping off the back of two similar games in Gillingham and Port Vale we’d have adapted and improved a touch more. It’s funny cos over the run of those three home games, in my opinion, no team truly deserved a win so 3 points from all three is actually a fair reflection.

We are a lot better defensively and Bass is fantastic in goal, so those are massive positives. We did see the game out well once we’d scored and that was good see. We look more comfortable and capable when we have to defend now. Just need a bit more spark in our attack, if that clicks again, we should be on for a really good season.

This was a typical game of two halves in the first half Notts were very lacklustre and we’re grateful to Bass for keeping the score at 0-0, the second half substitutions made all the difference, Notts were much more positive and had several good chances before Matty Platt managed to put the ball in the net.

It wasn’t the best game we’ll see all season but Notts did enough to get the 3 points.

This is a fantastic stat for Notts. Hope that this level of support will continue and even grow as the season progresses.

I thought the result showed the level of improvement not only the new signings have made, but what is brought to the team under Stuart Maynard. It sounded like Wimbledon felt they could get more, and by all accounts they do sound as if they were the better team. Performances sometimes have to be overlooked, because the result is that important - as is returning to winning ways on home soil.

We have the foundation to prove our promotion chasing credentials, so let's not get tied up in the performance. I am sure the squad sees there's a need for improvement in the long term, but the short term is maximising the points we pick up.

Last season, I would have feared 1-0 wouldn't have been enough, considering how much Wimbledon threw towards us, and by all accounts defensively we were decent and Alex Bass exceptional between the sticks.

It was a scruffy game won by a scruffy goal, but we hung on in there when we were struggling to join two passes together in the first half and showed a marked improvement in the second. That'll do for me!

Football isn’t always exciting to watch, but getting the result and keeping a clean sheet against a good team are always positives, in my opinion, that shouldn't be criticised.

AFC Wimbledon came with a game plan, and I think Stuart Maynard expected them to play like that. He made some good tactical changes that helped us deal with them, but the game seemed like it was going to end in a draw. If anything, I felt relieved we didn’t concede. Defensively, we were solid, and Matty Platt was outstanding. Alex Bass played really well too.

i am pleased with the win because its a boost, it helps confidence and that alone can have a further impact on playing well. defensively i thought we were good, but needed a bit more creativity in attack. to grind out a win does seem very positive, despite wimbledon posing more of a threat. we showed our spiriting and fought for the win.
