Junior Morias Returns

We can confirm that Junior Morias has returned to Notts County upon the expiration of his loan deal.

An intriguing end to his time at Dagenham though, after scoring 3 goals in 3 games he was dropped and then only featured off the bench against Millwall and West Ham Academy in some stupid National League Cup Competition.

He’s not massively rated by the majority of our fans, but honestly, I don’t think he’s that bad. He’s never had the consistent game time with us and he’s been unfortunate with injuries. He’d have 100% been better than Jevani Brown, I still think he can offer us something. 11 goal contributions in half a season in the National League is a solid return (especially in a mid-table team!)

What do think? Are you pleased to see him back?

Nice to see him back. Stuart should give him a chance. I'd like to see him on the bench Tuesday night.

I'd be happy to see him being brought on at some point tomorrow, now that he's got some games under his belt. McGoldrick and Jatta need a rest sometimes and the new additions aren't out-and-out strikers.

I’m happy to see Junior Morias back, as others have said he hasn’t had a fair crack at the whip what with injuries etc.

I'm not sure why we didn't recall him. Maybe the option wasn't available, and Dagenham & Redbridge decided to end his loan on their own. Hopefully, he'll play again once he's fully fit.

He's very fast, and if he scores goals like he did in the National League, he'll be a threat in League Two. Having someone who's not afraid to shoot from a distance will be a great addition next to David McGoldrick. It's good to have him back.

it sounds like dagenham does not want to pay his wages whilst hes injured, as i think we have had stronger cases for recalling him before now. i hope junior morias recovers well and gets a better chance to showcase his skill with us.

I don't think Notts will give a chance. How likely is it that he will end up being released under mutual terms? Then he can find a club to join as a free agent in the National League. I wouldn't rule out a return to Dagenham & Redbridge even if he is injured. It seems more likely than being given a chance in a team he's been clearly pushed out of.

I have called many times for Junior Morias to be given a chance, when he did, I thought he did well. There were times last season his presence gave us goals, and they weren't just nothing. They always seemed special in the way that he would use his skill, one of them at home just came from his pure turn of pace. He could have got a second, but he gave the ball to Sam Austin, if I recall, who shot just over the crossbar.

We seem to be addressing the lack of speed within our team, people like Aaron Nemane who, if you don't watch - will show a burst of speed and be off. While Will Jarvis demonstrates considerable talent, Junior Morias possesses incredible speed. I fail to see why we can't, but I think his height plays a part in it. He's not the tallest, but still I think he could be a great squad member.

I do think he will end up not ever putting on the shirt for us again, and quietly disappear at the end of the season.

A field where dreams become reality.

I do agree, it is a shame that Junior Morias is very unlikely to feature again for Notts. I am not sure what to make of the club's recent habit of signing players, playing them a few times, and then discarding them even when there is a reason to keep them around. The hype we had from signing him leading into the Play-Offs, for him not to be featured and ruled out as injured to only getting some minutes. It makes the signing very wasteful, especially since the club paid money. Surely we didn't sign him to prevent his signature being captured elsewhere and give us more momentum? I don't know, I could be wrong, and Notts might give him a chance, but a number of players have been shown the door under contract just to be pushed out. Adam Chicksen, Aidan Stone, Will Randall, etc.

If you have any problems or concerns, feel free to send me a private message (PM). Always happy to help!
Please note: I’ll do my best to help, but some issues may need passing on.

Junior Morias has plenty of energy and determination, but it does seem unlikely that he will have a long-term future at Notts County. If the club saw him as part of their plans, he would have been given more chances at the start of the season.

With competition for places and Stuart Maynard's preferred attacking options, Morias may find it difficult to break into the team. Unless his situation changes, a move elsewhere could be the best option for both him and the club.

Notts keep recruiting better players . Witness today's signing.  So, sadly others have to drop down the order. The budget is not there to keep everyone on board, it would only lead to discontent anyway.

You can only applaud the recruitment team, they have obviously learnt from keeping faith with the defence that won promotion from the national league.

Dead wood has to be pruned , even though you hope it will flourish in the future, it rarely happens.
