I want a home game and an easy start for our new manager please.

I’m looking forward to the Chesterfield games they’re usually full of controversy.

Proud to be a Notts County Supporter for over 60 years.

First home game v Chesterfield

First away game v Tranmere

Matches I'm looking forward to.

MK Dons home

Walsall home

Grimsby Home

Chesterfield away

Salford away

Colchester away.

Salford & Colchester had our number last season. Future positive results against them will be vital if Notts are going to challenge for honours next season.

I'd prefer if we kicked off the season at home. If not, then somewhere nearby like Walsall would do. I'm not too bothered beyond that, really. I just hope we avoid a rough start or a tricky run-in at the end.

We won't know how it shapes up until the other leagues wrap up, but I'm just hoping we can put together a decent campaign.

Who do you want first game?

MK Dons (Home)

Who do you think is going to be our first game (home or away)?

Oldham Athletic (Home)

Newport County (Away)

What fixtures are you looking forward to?

Chesterfield (both)
Walsall (both)
Shrewsbury Town (both)
MK Dons (Home)
Grimsby (both)
Gillingham (Away)
Barnet (Away)

I’d like to start our campaign at home, maybe against Newport?!

I think it’ll be Crewe away though- not a bad one to get out of the way!

Looking forward to MK at home- that was the best I heard the Notts fans last season and Chesterfield home will always be a good game.

I’d also like for a Boxing Day home match!

We are away to Newport on the first weekend of the new season.

Pleased with the fixture list overall.

There are a few clashes with Forest, but these could be avoided if we’re marked as unavailable on those dates before the schedule is finalised. The opening part of the season looks promising and should give us a decent start.

Salford the first match at home. They had the better of us last season. Will be a big test for the first home match.

@Robbie, hopefully Salford won’t be able to use their dirty tactics against us as they will only have one game to judge us on with the new gaffer. Glad that game is out the way early as they’re such a bogey team for us!

Also glad we’re starting with Newport. Annoying again that Boxing Day is away and tickets will sell out instantly

Newport away is a bit meh as the opener. We've got a good Boxing Day fixture for a change, but sadly away, at Chesterfield. Oldham away is in January so take your thermals. Bristol Rovers at home on the final day could be spicy.

Now that Mansfield, Doncaster and Bradford are gone, the league is a bit beige with few real highlights. But we've only got ourselves to blame for that.

I've changed the post title.

@BridgyPie we've got Barrow away for the third match. Nice to get that long trip out the way too. Another can be bogey team.

MP must know someone in high places ?

He couldn't have wished for an easier first 10 games to be judged by.

Looking at odds checker by the end of September we play:

Salford, Gillingham 12s (same as Notts)

Shrewsbury, Crawley 25s

Crewe 33s

Barrow, Bromley, Tranmere, Fleetwood at 40s

Newport 100/1 to start.

All best wishes to Martin and The Technical crew for a fast start 👍

The fixture list looks kind on paper, but things can change once the season starts. What I want most is for Meadow Lane to feel like a fortress again. That would lift the team, especially when they’re away from home, knowing the fans are backing them all the way. I like the look of the season and if we can build some momentum and follow Paterson’s strong attitude, we’ll be in a good place. A mate of mine who doesn’t even support Notts said Paterson reminds him of Vinnie Jones. He wondered if that tough, win-at-all-costs mindset could bring out the best in us. He’s a Chelsea fan, so take that how you will!

Third season in a row we've started away from home now though, not a bad start all in all but I don't like the Chesterfield and MK away matches back to back over Christmas!

They've just completed the EFL Cup draw and we will face Wigan, away. Not a terrible tie, but we could've potentially got Blackburn, Middlesbrough, West Brom or Sheffield Wed which are more exciting.

In the EFL Trophy, Man Utd have been added to our group, I'd say that's upped my interest by about 5%...
