It's either a visit to Woking or Brackley in the FA Cup 1st Rd.

A good draw against non league opposition in the FA Cup 1st Round. Good chance to progress.

Potential banana skin. I can’t see MP letting the players be complacent or unprofessional, we should get the job done, but…….

This years FA Cup has to be a top priority for the Club. Nothing less than the strongest starting eleven should be fielded for this one.

Notts need to have a decent Cup run. Other lower league teams do it, so why not Notts? The long held excuse of resting players for the league is just not going to wash with the majority of the fan base this time.

The Club just has to aim for a third round spot & a potential money spinning tie against one of the big six. We are talking about potential earnings of hundreds of thousands of £, money that can go to strengthen the side in January.

It's the replay for that match tonight, they drew 1-1 at Woking at the weekend. Think I'd prefer a Brackley win, only because we've never played them (I think) and they are closer!

No idea who'll come out on top, both teams are down the bottom of the National League with not much between them right now. It's not a bad draw either way though, we’ve got a side that’s even stronger since the time we were in the National League so we have a really good chance of progressing into the second round.

Oh no.

(But as @Robbie says, let's throw the kitchen sink at the cup this year. For the sake of two or three extra fixtures we could have some unforgettable memories if we take it seriously.)

There's a chance this one may be on the TV. A cup run would be nice. A trip to Crystal Palace in the 4th round. Yes please.....

Please no!

Am I the only one who remembers losing to then Northern Premier League Salford on BBC One?

Well, a comprehensive 6-2 victory for Brackley! Woking played with 10 for about 70 minutes even so, that’s an impressive score-line… I’ve changed my mind, can we play Woking instead!

So, who's going to try and get tickets for our trip St James Park? (Don't let the sat-nav set itself automatically!)

So it's Brackley Town in the first round of the FA Cup.

I’d have preferred Brackley over Woking, so I’m happy with the draw. It won’t be a simple match. FA Cup games rarely are. Still, it’s a good chance to build some momentum and earn a bit of money for the club.

If we go into it thinking it’ll be a walkover, we could end up like we did against Salford City, before they joined the Football League.

its a good draw for the 1st round, i think they will be wanting to cause an upset and the money to them wont be something i think they would take for granted. we need to apply ourselves well and win the tie to show we took it seriously.

I find Notts tends to count their chickens before they are hatched when it comes to cup games, so I doubt it will be an easy path to the next round and both teams must show that they want to make the 2nd round. I would be disappointed, because it seems like a while since we have enjoyed a good cup run. They have beaten Woking, and will be wanting to make a second strong display against us. It could be tougher than it would suggest.

I won't be attending, I doubt I would make the allocation for it and would rather leave it to those more deserving but it will be a good first round tie. The teams who have qualified will be feeling the buzz generated from the cup, I just wish Notts will approach the game seeing that it is a good means to boost fans and the clubs income.

We’re all hoping Notts can go far in the cup! If I’m remembering correctly, I don’t think we’ve made it past the first round since the Reedtz era started. It's been a bit of a struggle, hasn't it in the cups?

With the game not being at Meadow Lane, I think there will be somewhat less pressure to produce the goods. I wonder how Martin Paterson will treat the game, and if he will use it as he has with the EFL trophy games? It could be a test to see who is deserving to start in games. Tyrese Hall has stepped up much since his lift in form.

I would like to see this from other players.

I like the drama and excitement that is built from the FA Cup, a lot of good League Two teams who have gained promotion to League One in the past have enjoyed successful campaigns in it. I am yet to see Notts reach the 3rd round, so it would be nice if Martin Paterson can get the most out of this squad.

I would have preferred Woking myself, we know Neal Ardley quite well and whilst his teams are usually decently structured. They do not tend to be all that focused on attacking against good teams, more defensive.
