I'm just listening to Matchtalk on Radio Red and they are on about Derry is eager to form a new relationship with them across the river.

The two loan players are a testament to the fact that it seems to be benefitting both clubs and the players involved. Notts benefit from getting two class players that are improving the squad, Fword have the benefit of getting the players fit and getting more experience and the players benefit because they can get a competitive game at a club very close to their parent club do no travelling or moving home.

I think it's great and hope it continues. What do others think?

As I said in "Meet the Fans", It's fantastic. It's mutual to both parties and the chap who said "If we can get Championship quality players from our door step, why not?"... Why not indeed!

It would be nice to have a connection, we can still have banter!

I see it like being brothers, one might be a better footballer and the other may be smarter. They can argue and mess around, though at the end of the day if we can help each other why not? Jimmy and Brian used to be good friends, I like that and feel Derry and Pearce can be exactly that. It would be a new era for both clubs in terms of developing players, the relationship might extend to us getting good deals when they purchase our own!

It's a good thing.

i dont mind, it might mean we play friendlies against each other more which are always interesting. notts work with local non league sides and forest work with us, seems right to me.

once they put on our shirt, the player is black & white!

I don't want Notts to overcomplicate things, partnership sounds wrong but we can work with them.

Getting their players would be good for both clubs, provided the players are in or around the forest first team. I dont want to see notts getting any closer than that, all the years those in red have taunted and looked down on us for being a small club. That will never change!

also if any F word supporters want to dip their hands in their pockets they can always come to Meadow Lane and have a look at Laing and McLaughlin themselves! ;)

I would rather us work with teams like Derby, Birmingham and perhaps Stoke.

Its good for the club and the city but this will not last long. Mark my words this will not be a forged relationship, it will not last.

You never know, stranger things have happened.

Birmingham I don't think is very special, Derby know how to introduce talent and develop them. I would welcome any signings from them like Will Hughes, working for Forest is similar. It would be handy for us as a club!

Birmingham do have some talent, as do Forest but I would label them sides which pick up other clubs talents rather than focusing on their own. It's not a bad thing, though I didn't think Reece Brown was a winger.

Derby do well with youngsters, as do the majority of Premier League sides.

I actually miss the days of West Ham, Arsenal and Liverpool bleeding through great talented players. Arsenal focus on too many from overseas which pushes the English lads down the pecking order. West Ham just can't really do it as to the level they once did but to go back on subject I am happy with working along side Forest.

If Notts benefit , all well and good.

I hope Notts would benefit more than they did with the last 2 loans from us-Ball and Freeman.

Selfish view but if we gain why not? I have no problem with taking on mansfailed players, so why would i worry about red dog cast offs?

I am sure we can do a job helping them whilst we are at it.

If they have decent players to send, then yes.

They've sent us a lot of dross over the years aswell. If they didn't have as strong of a squad as they do now, like in previous seasons, the quality available on loan was also lower.

A partnership, hmmm, not so sure. Something that benefits Notts County then count me in. For me, it doesn't matter who the person is, or where they have played... If it is right for our club, then get the deal done and let us get the benefit.
