RUMOUR - Brad Potts

Featured Replies

Posted

It has come about up here that Carlisle have had an enquiry about Brad Potts (midfield or RB), the enquiry from a league 1 club was to be followed by an offer in writing (not yet appeared). This much was in Keith Curle's presser this week.

Having walked down for the paper, I have been accosted by some of the natives... "looking to pinch another one of ours then are you"

It seems the jungle drums think it is Notts..

This one seems less likely to me, but with GA you never know...

Thoughts?

I don't know much about him, however I think Notts should take on young talent from other clubs. At least those who standout - I have faith in people at the club being able to spot the talent.

Is he any good?

It will be interesting to see if the locals have it right this time. He certainly fits the profile of a player Notts might be interested in and given the link with Greg it is highly possible.

he is on the handheld version of football manager.

not sure you can base it on that but sure greg knows him through and through.

Notts paying money for a player?

Unbelievable Jeff

Plus it is a player whom nobody knows, not a fringe player or one from the championship who is bringing his zimmer frame.

I would be surprised, if we have money to spend it should go on free players or loans for me.

Add depth and get quality so we can push on.

@Northants Pie Agreed, there is no smoke without fire though, it could be a possibility in January? when the loanees have returned to parent clubs?

I reckon the smoke is only due to what i said before, you will probably find our involvement in the media is due to Carlisle wanting to increase his price tag, likewise read the article with KC on the BBC website about it, he would only say what he has to again generate more interest in the lad as you will probably find he has been told the only money he will have to improve the squad will come in the form of a transfer

@Northants Pie Indeed, times are hard up here for the cumbrians, It wouldn't be the first time a club has tried to manufacture a bidding war on a player they may be resigned to losing....

Every club with an once of sense does / would do it

Haha!!

There is a rumour being spread by that other Notts fans` website Pride of Nottingham, that we are looking at a young full-back/midfielder from Carlisle, called Brad Potts. Even a suggestion of cash involved! Anybody heard owt?

A discussion is hardly spreading a rumour.
