Notts County Football Club

Just now Â·

The club can confirm the permanent signing of striker Billy Daniels from Coventry City. Full details on the Official Site shortly.

Hi All,

Notts have just signed Billy Daniels from Coventry City on an 18 month contract. Billy signed a professional contract with Coventry in 2012. He has made 33 appearances for them.

He can play as a striker or midfield

We are paying money for this bloke?

Coventry fans don't rate him.

Both signings were undisclosed fees, I can't remember the last time we actually paid for a player either, let alone two in one week!

We are signing too many risky players imo. 2 young wingers, the inexperienced Thomas and now this bloke - who is a walking sick nite.

Best of luck to them - hope at least 2 of them can produce the goods. Can see at least 2, probably 3 starting on

Sat. Admittedly, Cassidy & McLaughlin were rubbish but you need to replace them with improvements......

Time will tell, we'll wait & see.

Alan Judge I believe was the last signing for dough.

Considerably more than these two guys no doubt but fee's aren't important really, that said I don't get why all this undisclosed business has crept into the game. It was nice to know, I'd guess we are talking below 25k. Was Boucaud actually our last signing? He was meant to have been said for 25k, plus a lot of bonuses based on how he performed/played.

just good to have additions to the squad, if it does not work out release them.

they must be favoured because of paying a fee for them.

Seen many reactions like this, as I mentioned earlier on.

Welcome to Meadow Lane!

It's not a signing we can hang our hats on, could turn out to be shrewd, could be another Tyrell Waite. We shall see. It's worth pointing out that this player is a striker whose last manager tried to convert into a midfielder. I can only imagine that SD want to play him up front.

Hope the chemistry's right for him here

He seems highly rated by sky blues fans and could be one for the future.many city fans seem shocked they let him go so quite pleased myself at this news..well done notts :-)

Am I the only one that visited their forums and saw they didn't rate him?

I have noticed good comments, many sites are drivel any way. Fans always are unappreciated of youngsters.

The danger is that we are relying on 4 new youngsters. Regardless of their talent or potential we are in a perilous situation which requires stability and a bit of nous. Asking Santos, Thomas, Hayhurst & Daniels to reverse our fortunes is a huge task imo.

Passes round cans of belief and optimism
