Well let's see how it goes first before any judgements are made.  It says he started in January there. Does that mean he had a hand in the incomings this window?

We've needed a settled network for a while so hope this sorts itself out and finds better talent for the future.

No idea but by first thoughts aren't that 'high' really, I didn't rate him as a footballer to be honest.

His talents on the field never impressed me, however nobody knows how good he will be at spotting players. It's actually easier than most think, however you have to have a bit of wit about you and I will give Guy Branston credit he should be good at spotting players with problems and those who wouldn't fit our style. You do always hope that an experienced head comes in, it would give Derry much needed support but I do hope it works well.

Yet unearthing a talented scout (especially for club like ours) could be highly beneficial.

Like I say I am surprised he's got a job as a scout but I sincerely hope it works out as it will benefit us. I do think it's been awhile since the last scout we had did a really good job and I actually miss reading his insights, hopefully Guy can do a job.

I wish him all the very best.

We will want him to be good, his trade will help us if done well. How many scouts do we have? Perhaps he has experienced help there? Much like SD does with GA?

I remember his one half of football for us which was laughable and that's being kind. I'm sure you are right he will be a better scout but that's not hard.
