Jimmy Spencer

It was great to see Jimmy come on in yesterday's game and by all accounts he looked sharp.

Can he save our season? Are we pinning too much hope on him? Would you start Jimmy in the next game?

What are your thoughts?

Welcome back Jimmy, no pressure at all,

Ha Ha yeah no pressure at all.......

Before you go though Jimmy don't forget you have got to score 20 goals in the next 10 games and single handedly win us every game

Like we said no pressure at all

I have my concerns but I also have my faith in Derry + the people who have okayed him to play.

It was just good to see him back on the bench, let alone on the field. COYP!

I'm very concerned about how quickly he's made it back to the team - he only started full training a week or two ago!

That said, hopefully it'll work out. Would be great to see him firing on all cylinders again this season.

@DangerousSausage He's been light training for awhile though mate, it's only the full training he's recently restarted and I guess he feels ready. I know what you mean though, I have a similar concern.

I wonder if the new management will take a step back and allow him longer? What do you think? Folks?

i do feel we need to be rushing him so quickly, i think we should take our time and avoid pushing him towards first team football. i hope the new manager feels this way because it would be horrible to lose him again, especially for so long!

Hes a professional footballer who no doubts has a lot of demand to keep himself within a adequate shape, regardless of being fit or injured.

I would throw caution to the wind a little here, provided we take our time and settle him back into playing regularly. It would always be a concern that a physical side may worsen things for Jimmy but knowing what he is like, I think he will be fine from here.

Just hope he enjoyed starting against MK Dons because the result would not have.

It will be interesting to see how the new manager views this, if it was me I would continue to play him if the player himself and the medical staff were happy, he could make the difference between league one and two.

It made me laugh how some fans thought Jimmy had scored against the franchise.

Mind it is good to have him back, if the new manager is happy and Jimmy himself, let him play and worry about how long it will be until we sack the new guy or sell Jimmy!
