International Games

How many have you attended? Where and who?

I have been 13 England games, all at the old Wembley. We won 10, draw 2 and lost 1. Three games included World Cup winners. I have also been to a handful of USA games, scattered all over America and South America.

Most of which have been friendlies.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

I have not seen England but I have met the under 18s which featured some good players.

Oh oh oh ohhhhh, everywhere where we go, watching super County putting on a show!

As with other people, I've never seen England live. While I want England to do well in competitions, I don't have the same emotional investment as I do for Notts, so wouldn't be willing to pay to go overseas to watch them (or even to Wembley to watch a friendly)

@BradtheMiller @Dripsey3 @super_ram

I believe these three have seen international games, I know BradtheMiller watches the under 21's etc. I believe Dripsey has mentioned in the past he likes to watch international games, however I can't be certain because I might be muddling up his passion for discussing the contests. Cough up folks!

A field where dreams become reality.

I have watched England twice.

The first was against Sweden in 1959 when we lost 2-3 but I did get to see the great Brian Clough in one of his two internationals.

The second was against Scotland in the early 1980's. I remember the raucous Scottish fans, Trevor Francis' silky skills but little else.

I now have little interest in the national side or the Premier League,

I went once, when we beat Belgium before the 2012 Euros. The only thing of note was Danny Welbeck chipping the keeper.

No ,never been to a full international but I did go to Wembley to watch a schoolboy international game. This was about 1959 against(I think) Scotland I don't remember much except there were a lot of goals.

I've seen England at Wembley, Old Trafford, Ethiad Stadium, Pride Park, Villa Park & Elland Road, & the U21's at Keepmoat Stadium, Oakwell & Pride Park.

Which was the best game out of them?

Regularly watched England Home and Away from 88 to 91, euro championships, Italy 90, qualifiers, friendlies, haven't watched them live or on TV since then.

Glory hunting  since 1972 :)

I tend to watch the important games on TV, I don't waste my time with the friendlies unless it's against a side I want to see.

I joined the fan scheme many moons ago, one of the benefits of that is the fact they offer reduced tickets for certain games. I may look into going to see a game at some stage in the future, perhaps something @Cobby, @Joe Jones and any other regulars may also be interested in?

If you're at a loose end on Thursday & got transport, England U21s are playing Belarus U21s at Oakwell Barnsley before they play thisc summer in the European U21 Championship finals.

I'll be there as it's only £10 adults &£5 concessions. Chance to see some Prem stars like Jenkinson, Stones, Ings, Kane etc & should ease my summer footy abstinance
