Is anyone else concerned about the lack of transfer news coming from Notts, the best the media team could do yesterday was post a video of Trev the groundsman on his sit on mower.

Come on Notts give us something to discuss on here.

Someone said to me yesterday that Ray Trew has been visiting the 'other' site alot recently and has made various proclamations about new players etc so maybe it is somewhere in between as he has been guilty in the past of building it up slightly!

We have missed out on Jason Banton, Louis Laing and that Dutch guy from Forest. All signed for other clubs today.

I believe today,30th of June ,is the date that football players contracts are dated to,so if a players contract expires today they become free agents tomorrow..Clubs may also wish to extend the contracts of players they already have signed up but the players involved may not agree to an extension .So,we may see a bit of transfer activity in the next few days(or not)

Some interesting information has been posted by @RayTrew on some other forum

i thought i answered this by saying GK, CB and 2 wingers will be putting pen to paper this week. These are not trialists

Ray how many new strikers do we expect to sign?
The shopping list still to fill is:
2 Strikers
1 No 10
2 Wingers
1 RB
1 GK
1 CB
will they all be our players or do you expect any to be loans

We will only bringing in loan players this season to supplement the squad and cover for possible injuries. It is our aim to use very few loan players this season

On another note we are hoping to have pen put to paper this week on the following positions. GK, CB, 2 wingers and keeping my fingers crossed for one striker also

Are we going to lose any of our better players

Absolutely not. Yes if we make all the signings we want to there will be a few exits

Sounds like we're really going for it. Can't wait to find out who turns up for training, have we got any spies?

I am confident things will start to pick up now in terms of signings, it's quite important the whole squad get to train with each other for the best part of the pre season. With the comments made about signings, plus the rumours regarding two have already signed (awaiting to be clarified) these could be interesting but you never know with rumours.

Some really good interviews the past couple of days.

there may be delays with the signings, i would not be so judgement if no news came because we all know what football is like.

if the quality continues to improve, we should have a very good squad.

Well signings have been made and the content focuses on interviews, why be negative over no news? Usually that means good things, especially previous seasons.
