Grandson tempted by the dark side

Whilst away on a break I had a text from my daughter in law to say that Grandson George had brought a letter from school asking if he wanted to attend an event at the donkey sanctuary to be presented with a shirt and a ticket to a match. Daughter in law asked if he should go or was it against his religion

I replied that it would have to be George's decision but I wouldn't be taking him to any Fword matches free ticket or no free ticket. George has decided to go but says that he doesn't have to like them just because he's going, he wants to go because all his class mates are going.

Why can't Notts do something like this? I just hope peer pressure doesn't make him want to turn r*d.

He's got a season ticket for Notts so hopefully the Fword shirt will be consigned to the back of the wardrobe never to be seen again.

Proud to be a Notts County Supporter for over 60 years.

Forest have been doing this for years, Jake almost was given a free forest shirt but I refused.

I think the club should attempt to do something similar, really make it special for young fans because they remember as they grow older and the shirt will be kept. I can't remember if @weymouthPIE mentioned something similar in the past about his first Notts shirt.

Don't let him go! He's a magpie through and through, we need you George! :(

A field where dreams become reality.

Yep. They have been doing it for years. I remember quite a few years ago when I had a class. I was given the leaflets offering the free shirt and ticket when they hit 7 etc...

I binned the whole lot and got on the phone to Notts and organised free tickets for the whole class and their parents instead!

Yes I got a telling off (adults please insert correct word in here more appropriate because it was a full on boll......)

but it was worth it!!!

Oh dear, please don't tell me he got one. You need to buy who an home and away shirt. Get his name on it and a number, that should do it.

When people ask what 'American Pie' is about, they're missing the point. The song isn't about the lines themselves - it's about what is between the lines. The song is about what isn't there.

Exorcism is the only answer.

We exorcise you, every impure spirit,

every satanic power, every incursion
of the infernal adversary, every legion,
every congregation and diabolical sect.

Thus cursed demon
and every diabolical legion, we adjure you.
Cease to deceive human creatures,
and to give to them the Poison of Eternal Perdition.

Be humble under the Powerful Hand of God-- (Jimmy Sirrel)

We may need to chip in and buy him something grander than Haribos. A year supply of Ice Cream? Mr & Mrs Magpie turn up to his birthday?
