What was the last movie/film you watched?

We all tend to remember classic movies we watched over and over again as children, but as we get older we have less free time for them.

Minions and it was absolutely awful. The Despicable me films are great but Minions is painful watching.

Go on youtube and search secret life of pets, new animated film coming out next year, looks really funny

Is it bad that I literally cannot remember? I'm so bad with movies! I think it might have been Fight Club, about four months ago!

Update: I went to the cinema with the lass I was seeing a few weeks ago - the film I saw was Macbeth. There were about 10 people in the cinema! Couldn't she have picked Legend instead? As well, least it wasn't some s****y rom-com.

It's all about the series for me at the minute, watching Lost right now. I like a trip to the cinema, but no film has tempted me in ages. Will definitely be going to watch the final part of Hunger Games next month though.

Macbeth.

Hot potato, orchestra stalls, Puck will make amends!

I watched Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory with the grandchildren yesterday, it was the Johnny Depp version. Much prefer the older one with Gene Wilder and proper Oompa lumpas. However you spell it. Lol

Cinema: if I remember correctly..
The Intern, Robert De Niro plays both himself and Anne Hathaway in a hard hitting brutal portrayal of the New York fashion scene. Not one for the feint of heart.
Before that, Legend, Tom Hardy in a film about the life of an East End family in 60s London. A good date film.

Home: Centurion. Hadn't seen this film before last night thought it was very good.

Throne Of Blood. Japanese movie directed by Akira Kurosawa (directed the Seven Samurai). Loosely based on MacBeth. Enjoyed it. Kurosawa made some great movies. I'm a fan of international cinema.

Sunday was the last day of the international film festival here. Some of the films are really good and unique, others are just pretentious films for pretentious people. The missus and I watched "Song of my mother", which definitely falls into the second category. If you are considering watching it, don't. Stare at your toenails for 103 minutes instead. It's much more interesting.

An old woman moves in with her son so that he can look after her. She moans that she wants to return to her village (which no longer exists). The man and his girlfriend get sick of the moaning, so they decide to go and show her the remains of the village. But before they go, she dies. That's ALL THAT HAPPENS. One third of the film is the man on his moped, driving through Istanbul (not the interesting bits, but building sites etc.). One third is his mother gazing wistfully out of the window while smoking a cigarette. The other third is the "plot". I'm choosing our next film.

It is a good film, and you almost forget Tom Hardy is playing two roles, very good acting and it is very cleverly done. Tom Hardy to be the next Bond?
