Neil Bishop

This would be terrible news but good for @Dan.

Honestly, I would have welcomed him back here if we wasn't so overloaded within midfield. As a defensive option in the centre of mid, he would have been the ideal solution but I think Scunthorpe let him go for a reason and I'm not surprised to see somewhere like Mansfield eager to sign him.

I think we could forgive Neal Bishop, it's common for Mansfield to pick up our former players (more common than it is for us to pick up theirs).

Mansfield really would be a good fit for him at this stage in his career.

Good luck to Neal, I always felt he represented us proudly and it was a pleasure to see him step up to chase his dream. There would be no hard feelings for me if he did join Mansfield, Craig Westcarr did and I still like him.

If he does go to the Stags I hope he gets a good reception from our fans when we play them, I hate it when they boo former favourites.

I will only see 10 players on the pitch, how could Neal do this to us? :(

I never expected to see him rejoin us, great player back in the day for us but things have changed for both parties since then. Hopefully he can establish himself and do well, I wouldn't wish him any less and any Notts who may give him stick for joining them really needs to get their heads checked.

I really hope he doesn't sign for them, I always happily applaud ex-players (like Sheehan) who served us well, but it would be hard if he had a stag on his shirt. I'm probably one of the few who would be happy to see Bish back here next season. Forget his age, he always seemed the type who could go on to play at this level for a good bit longer than most.
