Went to the forest to see the fireworks but it was a pain getting there because the bus didn't turn up. When we did finally get there it was so misty the effect of the fireworks wasn't that great.

I wouldn't say 'celebrated' but I tried.

As @cheeky~k8, it was a waste of time and nothing but hassle - perhaps in not so many words.

I "celebrated" by staying indoors watching telly and letting other silly buggers send their hard earned money up in smoke. Then again I'm a grumpy old sod. :joker:

Call me Victor.

with the amount of mist and smoke about, it wasnt really worth the effort. As for the cost, i went to a free display but wasn't much point last night due to the mist in the air.

On returning home after visiting @GrannyPie I put 'The Guy' that I'd made in the morning on the bonfire. After a quick cup of coffee I returned and lit the bonfire as the light quickly faded.Grandson Harry was really excited waiting for the fireworks.I kept an eye on the bonfire while @william1984 saw to the fireworks. There were a lot of fireworks going off for some time in our neighourhood. There were some nice fireworks, some very noisy ones ,I managed to get rid of a load of rubbish and most importantly young Harry enjoyed himself but I have to agree with Victor @Fan of Big Toneit is a lot of money up in smoke.
