Do we have players who can come in and cover, whilst the regular starters have a breather?

For me, it's hard not to play Kyle Wotton due to what he brings.

With injuries, I only feel at right back do we have the most depth right now. The centre of the park lacks creativity and on the wing we only really have Sam Osborne who can come in and do well, Sean Shields isn't very good IMO.

I'm not saying we need to replace people, but perhaps the formation could do with adjusting at times?

There's cover, but the issue is when they don't play often enough it's difficult for players to pick up their form.

It looked like we had a strong squad, with cover, but I think Ardley pushing players out backfired a bit. I mean, even those he signed will be wanting to stay on his good side.

We have a good squad on paper, some of the issues when a player in thrown in seems to be how to get the best out of them.

I agree that it looks like some struggle with making the odd appearance or even settling into starting ahead of someone else that usually does. Alex Lacey came straight in and looked like the type of player who wouldn't be nudged, until his injury but we still have Pierce Bird who is more than good enough at this level. Left back we have had DKE cover, along with the other new signing.

Everywhere is fine, bar the centre of midfield where Notts lacks creativity.

I don't think Jim O'Brien and Michael Doyle work that well together over a period of time, I think Mitch Rose is just shot in terms of his form. Tom Crawford, whilst he looks okay - him being picked and dropped seems to have brought on some inconsistencies. The club could really do with Regan Booty returning, he would be a joy to watch again and I think with Cal Roberts in the mix he would form a good partnership with.

As would Alex Lacey when he returns.

There is depth but Neal Ardley needs to ensure when a change is made that the tactics can be picked up by their replacement. On paper this is a very good side, quite a few teams would take our players if they could, so it shows the difference compared to last season.

I have limited knowledge of what the bench is like or how good the fringe players are, it seems some are struggling to find their feet but lets face it this season was always going to be one of those where the club would be in a transitional period.

guess it depends how ardley instructs them and if they take the chance, i feel some should be fighting a bit more to start.

It's easier I feel, when players coming in are like for like replacements.

The good thing about this seasons squad is the depth and variety, but I think some struggle to do what Neal Ardley asks. There's players who can come in, but we need to see them work harder, I do feel Ardley needs to set a clear expectation from his players.

If it isn't met, they don't play.

Give the players faith, trust them and allow certain players to have a little more freedom. Make sure those senior players are communicating and pulling people up, if those can't get in don't try. Get rid in the close season and replace them with fighters.

I think we easily have players in some positions at the moment.

There is cover, Tom Crawford can do well but he has to match his work rate in those important games he gets.

Likewise for any other fringe player.
