  1. Chris and Alex seem well prepared for any circumstance and I won`t be surprised if they already have a narrowed down shortlist which include some slightly unknown managers fitting their vision of open and dominating football.

  2. I'm sure the the Reedtz brothers know who they want. I don't think we'll see any one on the bookies list, or any former Managers of Notts Who ever they choose may well be an upcoming young Coach who wants to play open football, but with a hint of caution too with a plan B if plan A doesn't work. The owners have picked well up to yet and I'm confident they'll do it again.

  3. I think we have a good system, and the Head Coach and players are just cogs in that system. LW will go, probably to Swansea, but if not to one of the next opportunities, Macca will go, Crowley will go etc (eventually, one day - I'm not being a doomster about this window). The thing is our system means we will have replacements ready to slot in with minimum disruption. LW has earned his chance to move to a bigger club and he should absolutely take it, if it is what he wants. We will find another, probably young up and coming manager, and the chances are they will slot in and continue to move the club forwards. So, I'm happy for LW and positive about the future. Remember LW wasn't perfect and there are improvements to be made. I would be more confident in reaching the automatic slots than I was before.

  7. I agree with you @Ohh Tommy Johnson We didn't know much about, Luke, Macaulay and Dan before they came to Notts, and wow have they performed for us. Life will have to go on after those three have left and anyone else who may leave, and the Club will go on from strength to strength in the future.

  10. Oh helllllllll no to Burchnall.

  11. It won't be Burchnall. I reckon he was there about Tipton. I don't see what returning brings to him, never mind us. I think it most likely that we will see someone from the NL, or someone in a similar position to Burchnall or Nolan at a Championship club. One thing is a sure thing, they will be a modern Head Coach, as opposed to a Manager, they will be young and hungry and play a modern style of football. Other than that.. who knows?!!

  13. A bit of Notts County nostalgia from 48 years ago. Fulham v Notts Nov 1976.. see if you can pick out some of our greats in action.

  14. I hope I'm jumping the gun and will be able to delete this thread, but the signs aren't good. So ... who would you like to succeed LW if he goes and who do you think the owners would go for? Ian Burchnall has been seen at the Lane against Donny, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's in the frame - he's assistant manager at Wolves and might have been keeping tabs on Ollie Tipton, who played that day. Any other ideas or names?

  15. The festive period fell a little wayward and, I apologise that this hadn't been completed sooner. November was a great month for PON, which led nicely into the final calendar month. There was a lot of fantastic effort by the community, which is pleasing and although things did become quieter (quite naturally) nearer to Christmas and the New Year, I still believe it's important to wrap this up. Between myself, @cheeky~k8 and @Burnz3r0. We have decided upon the nominations for each member group as to who should be named December's Member(s) of the Month here on the Pride of Nottingham. NewPie of the Month goes to: @Robbie. Member(s) of the Month goes to: @menzinho and @Piethagoram. Team Member of the Month goes to: @TheSkipper Congratulations to the four members! This is a fantastic achievement worth celebrating. So, many excellent contributions and posts during December and, we go again in 2024. Please take a moment to wish everyone well.

  17. I’d like to see us continue to play attractive football but perhaps with emphasis more on defence, I’d like to see defenders kicking it into row z when the need arises rather than play out from the back at all costs.

  18. There is obviously been some sticking point, possibly over compensation, or the amount of back room staff he wants / is allowed to bring in. I would seriously doubt it would be terms, maybe the amount of influence he will have on team matters. Looks like it will be morning now before we here confirmation, at least we can then forget about him and start focusing on the future again.

  22. I have no idea who it will be, but they normally go a bit left field. If I was to pick someone who like to play football and is ready for the move up, it would be Stuart Maynard.

  33. Let's refrain from bringing up the number of goals we let in, shall we? Let's start 2024 off with this positive message and the promise of better to come. Congratulations to the team for this achievement.

  34. I think my main goals would be to continue on the health front. It's been a bit difficult over the last few weeks for me, what with having a bug and feeling too tired to do anything. However, I made a resolution the year before that I wouldn't push myself beyond my ability when unwell and I have stuck to that quite well. I would like to find more time to do more digital art work. I want to connect better within the Notts community, rather than just being a friendly face and someone who takes pictures at games. Socialising before and during games is something that I need to put time into - even if it's a quick hello. I care a lot about our fan base and I have met so many wonderful people that I should seek out more often. I also want to write more poetry. I have always found it to be a creative outlet towards understanding my feelings and having a natural release. Other than these, I just hope to have more family nights together. I spent time with my dad, brother, and sister-in-law. They mean the world to me, so it would be good to have film nights and catch up more frequently. It would be able to give Kate quality time with our own family who are becoming difficult to get all together now that they're all teens.

  36. I have The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Carpenters, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and Bjork on at the moment ... all Christmas pressies, all great LPs. As you can imagine, my LP collection is a bit of a jumble of stuff, but I have found that if I approach an album with the intention of enjoying it, I generally do, where as in the past if it wasn't the Cure or the Sisters of Mercy, I wasn't really interested. It's interesting what mindset does for you! I also enjoy the various History Hit podcasts when I'm running and 'The Rest is Politics' whilst I am at work.

  38. I agree @DonnyNotts . Our total football style of play worked well in the National League but this is a step up and at away matches we must be much more cautious and play more defensively. I know it's not Luke's way but it is a case sometimes of having to adapt to new realities.
