  5. I also wrongly assumed he would just go straight into the team once he'd signed. The fact Bass is now being assessed on a day-by-day basis makes it seem even more strange... I don't think we're going to get to see him play!

  6. Even having slept on it it's an almost impossible decision to make, I think if you asked the players last night they would agree that no-one was worthy. @Piethagoram I also thought Didzy had a poor performance last night by his standards, I agree he did far too much chasing back to make up for his overplaying/poor passing. Yes he scored but he was basically on the goal-line for his goal, it was a great header back across from Macari.

  7. I do find the fact we haven't added to the coaching staff pretty baffling. 2 people are doing the job of what was previously 4. I can't find anything to say that Roberto Gagliardi has left his role at Goztepe Spor, where he was/is their head of recruitment. My guess would be this is why he starts May 1st. I don't think the January transfer window was that bad overall. Ok Whitaker is no Crowley but he's better than Grant and Edwards. Jarvis is looking more promising though, agree he is a tad lightweight still but he needs to spend more time in the opposition half than his own, his best qualities are his offensive ones!

  18. Another meek performance. Same team against Colchester, same toothless performance. "smart passes" have dried up completely. Salford had the desire, their #10 showed how effective skill can be in the right areas. Jatta completely dominated by their defence. Lucky to get 300k for him now?

  20. Every year since I was a child, I have noticed product packages getting smaller. I feel consumers aren't as savvy as they should be. If more people spoke up and companies focused less on squeezing as much profit as possible, and instead sold products that flew off the shelves, it would be fairer. I understand there are outside factors, but most of it ends up being at the expense of the consumer.

  21. It just goes to show how important it is to spend and invest wisely in your squad. I'm not surprised, as Notts have only been back in the EFL for one full season so far, and it takes time to catch up. This highlights the importance of higher gates at Meadow Lane and commercial efforts around the club, like early season ticket adoption, The Nest, and other revenue streams.

  22. Lovy morning here. Done my 10,000 steps this morning while it was cooler. Update on our Bumblebee Nest. Looks like the Queen has a few young offspring working for her now. The Queen is still leaving the Nest and collecting Nectar. Looking forward to the match this evening. Notts have had two good results in the last few days that helps them. Chesterfield drew & Crewe lost. A couple of wins for Notts should see them safe in a playoff spot. But it's not a gimme. CMON U PIES!!.

  23. Iam expecting him to be between the sticks on Friday evening......Sam has done reasonably well but surely the new keeper hasn't been brought in to sit on the bench....no better time and place to see how he shapes up than be given his debut at Meadow Lane....

  30. Great job! Notts performed exceptionally, and I must admit that Salford's performance was lackluster, though they had their moments of brilliance. In my opinion, any team that refuses to surrender even when trailing by two goals with only ten minutes left deserves commendation. Dan Crowley's performance was outstanding.

  31. So far we've been by far the better team with some good chances and a decent goal too. Hopefully we continue to dominate in the second half. I thought their striker would pose more of a threat but tbh he doesn't seem to understand how to get his head on the ball.

  32. A strong performance against Salford would certainly lift spirits and keep Notts in a favourable position ahead of the weekend’s matches. The sound of Notts fans proclaiming our top-of-the-league status would indeed be priceless.

  33. As we approach the upcoming match against Salford City, the spotlight is firmly on Luke Williams. His role as a leader is crucial in harnessing the potential of our players. It’s not enough for him to be a passive observer of the game’s progression. Instead, his active involvement in guiding the players on the field could be a game-changer. By providing real-time instructions, he can instil a level of focus in the players that could significantly influence the game’s outcome. Williams has at his disposal a squad brimming with talent. The quality of this team leaves no room for mediocrity. Therefore, it’s only fitting that he sets high expectations for the players. The match against Salford City presents an opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities. With effective communication and high standards, Williams can inspire his team to deliver a performance that matches their potential.

  34. Matt Smith can be described as nothing more than a bully, relying on intimidation tactics against other players. At the age of 34, it is safe to say that he is well past his prime. The main concern lies in his tendency to use elbowing and shirt grabbing as techniques, especially considering that Connell Rawlinson is likely faster. Aden Baldwin would handle the situation better, given Salford's genuine quality and pace. In my opinion, Cameron, Brindley, and Baldwin would form a solid back three. Smith will heavily depend on others to carry out most of the work. I have confidence that Brindley and Baldwin can handle the situation effectively.

  35. It's going to be another tough test but I believe in the boys to go out there and get the 3 points. I think Williams will revert back to his favoured XI. Salford will want to try and slow the game down and bring their big unit of a striker into play and get People running off him which Notts will have to be switched on with. We definitely have the capability of getting all 3 points. Another great following by the Notts fans. Let's watch super county put on a show ????????

  36. Salford can be a strong team if given the opportunity to take control of the game or capitalise on chances. However, if not given these opportunities, they tend to be rather ordinary. At their current skill level, they aren't quite ready for League One, so I view them more as a potential contender for the playoffs, and ideally a team that Notts should be able to beat. Nevertheless, football can be unpredictable, and since they're playing at home, it could really go either way on the day.

  39. I went to my local shop this morning and incorporated the walk with a visit to the Medical centre to arrange my annual review and collect a sample bottle. On the way home I witnessed a police chase.I was aware of an emergency vehicle approaching me from behind ,as I could hear a siren. This turned out to be a police car which passed me at high speed. The cop car turned off the road I was on and I continued on my way.A minute or two later 2 police women came running up from behind me and turned up into my close. Here they caught a young lad ,about18/19,who was being very abusive but was quickly cuffed and led away. The lad was swearing and denying assaulting anyone.I felt like I was in a TV cop program episode. It doesn't happen every day, thank god
