  1. Notts perform well when they’re not under pressure, but teams are starting to figure out how to fluster them and convert that into scoring opportunities. It seems we’ve done little to alleviate this or simplify our approach. Focusing on the basics could make it much easier to handle pressure from other teams. If Crawley opts for a direct approach tonight, sending balls behind our defence, we need to stop trying to pass the ball and clear it by any means necessary. We’re a good team, so it’s understandable that there’s frustration when Notts make things harder for themselves. I believe we need to stay focused under pressure, make sensible decisions, and avoid leaving our goalkeeper exposed, even though we play a high game. We need to put in the effort to cover, observe how the game develops, and respond more quickly when things open up.
  2. What an inspiring tale! Wendy's passion and allegiance make us all proud to be part of the Notts County community. Meanwhile, her charity work truly shows what it means to be a good sport, on and off the pitch.
  3. Personally, I feel the problem isn't just lack of inspiration, it's a lack of leadership. It starts from the bench and it's just not trickling down. As others have said, maybe it's time we shook things up a bit?
  4. I appreciate Williams candidness in the face of such defeat. It's not often we see leaders admitting to their team's shortcomings. Still, it's quite clear that a rethink is needed on how the team can regain the intensity needed in future matches.
  5. I couldn't agree more with Crowley’s sentiments. He's been instrumental in driving the Magpies to new heights, and his passion for the game is truly infectious. Keep shining, Dan!
  6. The amount of psychological preparation that Williams involves in his game plan is refreshing. It's not just physical readiness, but the mental game that counts in matches like these.
  7. Loved the way we played in the first half but second half was a bit of a let down. Think we can do more.
  8. Jodi Jones is definitely a rising star. His energy on the pitch is infectious and he's a great asset to Notts County. What an experience for him to play at Wembley, no doubt a career highlight!
  9. Williams shows us that sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side. A proud moment for all of us Magpies!
  10. He has everything we could need and Gosling's calibre can only be a bonus. Looking forward to seeing him on the pitch!
  11. I’d be taken aback if any Notts supporters genuinely showed concern. From the radio commentary, it seemed like a challenging match where neither team knew how to handle the ball. Except for the moments they scored, when we let them pass directly. I believe the fan in the background was truly concerned. Did anyone else feel he takes the matches too earnestly?
  12. Great to see Gosling’s enthusiasm for Notts County. His drive could be the spark we need with Palmer's absence.
  13. Commendable spirit shown by Notts. Baldwin has rightly stressed the importance of leadership and unity. Quite exciting to see where this takes them in the forthcoming rounds of FA Cup!
  14. Great signing! Gosling’s tenacity and proven track record can be instrumental for Notts County this season.
  15. Admirable commitment and insight from Williams. Transitioning to a higher division is indeed not a walk in the park.
  16. No matter the result, we're Notts County through and through, thick and thin!
  17. A walk down memory lane for sure! The 5000th Football League match is a testimony to Notts County’s relentless desire to never give up. Here's to another exciting chapter in our club's history!
  18. Notts County reaching its 5000th EFL match, now that's something we should all celebrate. Let's make sure we come away with a victory against Gillingham!
  19. Chins up, lads. Not the best game, but there were positives. Saw some real grit out there, looking forward to seeing how we respond to this defeat in the next match.
  20. I don't believe the formation we began with was helpful, nor was the decision to exclude John Bostock. I don't blame these choices or Luke Williams; I am merely stating that they did not contribute positively to the situation. Notts were exceptionally weak in defense; it was a complete disaster, and two of their goals were scored into open nets! We require improvement for Tuesday.
  21. Agree with Williams - league positions don't define the match’s outcome. What matters is mindset and how efficiently play is executed on the pitch.
  22. Notts County fans, never stop being the fantastic crowd you are! Your support is invaluable.
  23. A real rollercoaster of a game! The constant tug-of-war between the teams was thrilling, to say the least. It shows just how much fight Notts County has within them, refusing to back down even in moments of uncertainty.
  24. It's great to see players like Jones developing so well, Keep up the good work!
  25. I am assured that Notts will perform admirably and achieve a favourable outcome. I would prefer Aaron Nemane to sit out this match rather than subsequent ones. This way, his record will be cleared for future games. I am hopeful that his replacement will be able to execute quicker throw-ins. We can do without penalties for slow throw-ins, as they are not beneficial. I am anticipating that Jodi Jones, Sam Austin, and David McGoldrick will all be in the starting lineup. I believe Macaulay Langstaff will make his mark on the score sheet. Here’s hoping we avoid any hitches and do not end up with a draw or worse.
