Jodi Jones reflects on his 'amazing feeling' after scoring winner for Notts County
Jodi Jones is a quality player who consistently seeks to engage in the game. His defensive skills are an added advantage. In my opinion, he is more refined than players such as Aaron Nemane.

Can you clarify if he started his career at Stoke City, i.e came through their academy or if he began his career having signed for them from elsewhere to start?

Match Discussion: Game 46 - The Minstermen (H)
I'm really looking forward to the upcoming match between Notts County and York City. Our team is strong and has a solid game plan, so I think we have a good chance of winning. The players have been working hard in training and are determined to give it their all on the pitch. Our support as fans will also be crucial in boosting the team's morale. With our vocal encouragement and unwavering loyalty, the players will feel even more motivated to perform at their best. I'm hopeful that with a combination of skill, strategy, and support, Notts will come out on top against York.

Vote for Notts County's 2022/23 Player of the Season now!
It's good to have back-to-back seasons where there are more than one strong contender. I thought last season was difficult to choose, but this time is even more challenging.

Match Discussion: Game 44 - The Cardinals (H)
The first half wasn't the best for either team. I thought Woking looked like a decent team when they weren't playing the poor sportsmanship card. Neither team looked likely to score. The second half was an improvement. Notts started to attack with more urgency, and I thought Sam Austin was class! His first goal was very well taken, and his second was superb! I wasn't sure if Aaron Nemane actually scored the third goal; it was a bizarre bicycle kick. Notts largely improved once the first goal went in, and I thought the game was very entertaining. I didn't understand why Jodi Jones and Adam Chicksen switched, but once that had been reverted and Aaron Nemane came on, he looked quite lively!

Match Discussion: Game 43 - Red Dragons (A)
This is the biggest game of the season, and both teams must set aside their nerves and concentrate on their own performance. As Notts prepares for the match, they must draw strength from their travelling fans. The significance of the event is not lost on either team, as Wrexham and Notts will both be determined not to suffer a defeat, making a draw a more probable outcome. It is crucial to avoid suspensions, injuries, and any foolish behaviour that can occur during highly-charged games. I will be watching the match live on BT Sports at home, hoping for the best possible outcome.

Match Discussion: Game 40 - The Iron (H)
From my perspective, I find it intriguing to see what team Luke Williams will field. It will be interesting to see which players he chooses and how they will perform on the field. However, regardless of which players are selected, my hope is that Notts County will come out on top with a win.

Match Discussion: Game 38 - Wanderers (H)
It was a thrilling game to watch as we secured a comeback victory against Dorking. It was especially satisfying since Dorking had defeated us earlier in the season. It was nerve-wracking to see Dorking take the lead, but Notts quickly equalised to keep the pressure on. Langstaff and Palmer were absolutely brilliant in the second half, scoring two crucial goals that secured a fantastic victory for us! I have to say, I was a bit worried when I saw that our captain Kyle Cameron wasn't starting, but our team's depth and talent really shone through. It just goes to show that we have a strong squad and can win even without key players. Overall, I couldn't be happier with our performance today. We fought hard, stayed focused, and earned a well-deserved win. I'm thrilled to see what the rest of the season holds for us. COYP!

Match Discussion: Game 36 - The Lillywhites (A)
We drew against Bromley at our ground, which might make it harder to beat them at theirs, but we can't let it affect our mindset. Notts County needs to keep winning to put pressure on Wrexham, who have a game in hand, so it's up to us to maintain that pressure on them. However, we still need to be careful not to get overconfident as the competition is tough. I want the team to succeed and get back into the Football League. We must continue to work hard and strive for excellence both on and off the field. While winning against Bromley would be important, we need to keep pushing forward and not let setbacks discourage us.

Ed Francis seeks more playing time with fellow National League side Gateshead
Notts County has ambitious goals and would not want to waste the talent of any of their players by leaving them on the sidelines.

Match Discussion: Game 34 - The Shrimpers (H)
Notts displayed a collective sense of responsibility for their performance, resulting in a commendable win and three points earned. This attitude has been a hallmark of the team throughout the season, evident in every game, regardless of the players selected for the starting line-up. The 14 players who played on Tuesday stepped up to the challenge and delivered a strong performance. Their cohesive effort and commitment to the team's goals have been an integral part of Notts' success this season. Two players who particularly stood out were Bostock and Jones, both demonstrating their ability and match fitness with impressive performances, playing the full 90 minutes. Despite Southend's off-field predicament, their fans displayed remarkable support on a school night, demonstrating an impressive sense of togetherness. The fans' unwavering support for their team was a testament to their dedication and loyalty to their club. Overall, the game showcased the strength of both teams, with Notts' collective effort and Southend's passionate support, resulting in an entertaining and memorable match.

Match Discussion: Game 16 - The Spitfires (A)
Eastleigh always do well against teams that want to pass and play proper football, you need to mix it up to get a result. If Cal Roberts had found the net first from his chance, then it could've been different but otherwise we played to their strengths. I agree its a disappointing result.
-
Match Discussion: FA Cup - The Dale (H)
Awful start to the game, there is no denying that. Notts could've handed Rochdale the game in the first half. Thankfully Notts recovered and made a game of it, I felt Ian Burchnall's changes made all the difference with injecting spark into the play. We dominated for those 45 minutes, but got caught napping for their second. I am not disappointed because it was a good open game, but I do want to see things learned from the performance. Adam Chicksen is dire in a central defensive position.
-
Head Coach, Ian Burchnall "very relieved" after Notts County's 2-0 away win over Yeovil Town
I think Ian Burchnall speaks for us all, when he speaks about being relieved. Kyle Cameron's return appears to have bridged the weakness in defence but the decisions to man manage games out does need to continue.
-
Match Discussion: Game 11 - The Glovers (A)
I am fearful of defeat, but I want the players to prove me wrong. Tomorrow could be a big game, fans will want to see a response.
-
Ian Burchnall adds experienced English Football League midfielder Matt Palmer to the Notts County ranks
Good signing, has all the redeeming qualities needed in midfield. The club's needed a box to box midfielder for years, Palmer makes an excellent addition.
-
Notts County's Cal Roberts masterstroke
It has been awhile since we have had a player permanently who is so exciting as Cal Roberts, you can see he's a special talent and even with the injuries so far I fully expect him to be able to continue is pathway to the top. I remember seeing Matt Ritchie and feeling similar, but I do believe Roberts to have better potential.
-
Match Discussion: Game 2 - The Robins (H)
Hopefully the conditions will be fine, I know there's rain forecasted but its supposed to ease up by time the game starts. I am sure Meadow Lane will be in perfect condition. Don't forget that the game is being aired on BT Sports. https://www.bt.com/sport/football/national-league/national-league-tv-picks-bt-sport It would be nice to see Ardley opt for a more attacking minded team, it's good Cal Roberts played but we need to be mindful about the fixtures. I think Notts should do much better at home.
