  1. Well, we are halfway through Jim's 2nd week of being Interim Head Coach, and it very much appears that he will be in charge for the Stockport match.
  2. Mine is an Android. Have had Smart phone Android since Smart phone inception. They have always served me well. Can't conceive paying more than £150 for a smart phone.
  3. Couldn't agree more. We'll put. The top six are above the law.Thats the big problem in English football at the moment.
  4. I don't think Jim is going to make any changes to the side that drew 5:5 with Grimsby unless he is forced to do so by injury. The side will probably line up in a similar formation & the style of play will not alter. Stockport do leak a few goals so I'm confident we can score a few, it's just how many we concede at the other end concerns me Personally, I believe that Notts should be more cautious this game, because Stockport is another level above Grimsby, but I'm sure that the Notts way of playing "total football" will continue. I'm hoping for a score draw here I think that will be a good result on Saturday, if the game goes ahead as there are freezing conditions around at the moment. I'm going for 2:2 result.
  5. Joe Salisbury and his partner up and running at the Australian Open.
  6. Coldest night of the Winter recorded so far. Minus 14 Degrees in Scotland. It could get even colder tonight.
  7. Very good read. I would abolish VAR except goal line technology & a check on whether a sending off is correct or not, because sending a person off changes the game. I agree about the renaming the league Back to Division 1 to 4. Parachute payments should be abolished too. Clubs should not be owned by Countries either There should be a Cap on total turnover with different levels for each of the four divisions, to even things up. Champions league to go back to the old format too. ie, Champions only.
  8. I remember the Cup run well. Really thought we would beat Wycombe but it wasn't to be, but we did come close and with a bit more luck we may have progressed further.
  9. Trouble is @True Magpie the rich clubs are allowed to spend what they like. Man City £200+ million on just two players. There are 86 teams that can't compete or ever hope to compete with the top 6. That's not right either.
  10. Sorry @NottsCountyKev can't help you with that one
  11. Some may not remember this one. Take your Pick with Michael Miles
  12. And @liampie players didn't seem to get so many injuries as they do now. I remember them playing with a leather ball too, that got about 3 to 4 times heavier in the mud and wet. It was like that from November onwards 50 years or so ago.
  13. Batten down the hatches tonight It's going to be a cold one.
  14. Remembering this magical memory in 2014 when Panthers became Challenge Cup Champions.
  15. Not looking good for matches at the weekend. Mansfield game off tonight.
  16. Eli Sam's goal in all it's glory.
  17. Lucy joins fellow Brits in the Wheelchair Singles Quarter Finals at Australian Open.
  18. Paul Devlin, who scored two goals for Notts in this match played for Notts between 1992 to 96, & then on loan for 5 matches in 1998. Paul made 183 appearances including league and cup in total and scored 33 goals. His Wiki Bio is here:- https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Devlin_(footballer)
  19. Tom and Jerry.
  20. Fifa Best Awards: Lionel Messi wins best male player, Pep Guardiola named best male coach. In the Women's award section, Manchester United keeper Mary Earps finished ahead of West Ham's Mackenzie Arnold and Barcelona's Catalina Coll. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/67953843
  21. Defeat for Dan Evans in the 1st round
  22. Premier League is a long way off for our club, but what happens in the Premier League filters down the Football pyramid and affects our club. The FFP rules in my opinion are unfair to the other 86 league clubs that are trying to compete with the Top Six and have no chance of competing in reality. Those top six get richer by the year, while clubs like Bury, chester and Macclesfield have gone out of business. Then other clubs are docked points for breaking unfair rules. It's the story that is too common in the UK, the rich and powerful call all the shots and the rest have to bow down and accept it.
