Curtis Edwards Injury
i saw him fall awkwardly and i thought he was just not fast enough to get the ball, he did go down at first like he was going to appeal but he did not. he got up and looked okay, even after the game he walked round clapping and waving. its a weird one to be honest, as only cedwyn scott left the field looking somewhat of a concern which @Piethagoram mentioned. i did not see it, but it explains scotts absence. its a blow but i really dont know what to make of it.

The Much Maligned Magpie II
i remember hearing that crows were meant to steal souls. i dont know much else, never really looked into it but i have heard many people claim it. this is different, but its the only thing i can find. i have heard this version to, but i do remember reading a story in a book of horror tales where it said not to trust them with your soul. https://www.reddit.com/r/WhiteWolfRPG/comments/h97b2k/people_once_believed_that_when_someone_dies_a/

Would You like a Notts FA Cup Run This Season?
yes, i would. as @Chris even a big away day would be nice. i have managed to get to every away game so far again, so it would be nice to see some stadiums of teams higher up the pyramid. it would be nicer to get a run of home games as this would help the coffers.

Jones and Crowley make EFL Team of the Week (that's all of the EFL, not just EFL2)!
wonder if any of our players will make the team after saturday? i am happy to see dan crowley and jodi jones mentioned. they are good players, worth seeing celebrated. i try to look out for the one that the efl does.

The Much Maligned Magpie II
asutralian magpies look horrible, they seem taller and the red eyes just have something creepy about them. ours are beautiful and such a nice thing to see on your travels.

On This Day In History.
you put on what he would be to worth to us, and i think we would be closer to your valuation.
-
On this day in 1938.
it would have been the twlight of his career probably, so just to see us sign him its a good thing. its a shame he had injuries, i can imagine in them days playing on when having a knock made things worse and you could not afford to miss a game.

MK Dons boss targeted by Carlisle Utd
some carlisle fans on a banter group on facebook are saying its a done deal, i dont know if its to wind up mk don fans but the whole group is laughing at this.

This day in 1964
never seen any of them, i might have seen clips and bits but never watched one all the way through. i used to find watching films for long periods hard if the subject was not something i really liked. a secret agent is not quite my thing, but i will give them a watch at some point.

Where are they now : Trialists at Coalville v Notts July 2021
what happened to the centre back alex something, from arsenal. i think he was on loan at bromley. got it, alex kirk! Alex Kirk - Player profile | Transfermarkt WWW.TRANSFERMARKT.CO.UK without a club supposedly, maybe he held out for a league club to long? he was the only trialist we did not sign that i thought looked decent.

Fact of the day #Notts
we are looking quite settled, it will be interesting to see how we do against gillingham but our start to the season has been impressive. it shows the importance not to judge so early on. we do need to protect the winning and undeated streaks.

On this day in 1938.
he dont look all that happy, intimidating striker? i would not have wanted to defend the ball against him. his record for everton is amazing, but wiki says he only scored 3 goals for us. ????

Opposition View: Gillingham FC Fans on Their Promotion Push & Tough Test Against Notts County
gillingham are a good team at this level and its nice to see an insight into them from their fans, it shows how important we have to keep our eyes on their key players. that seems to be bradley deck, but both teams sound as if they have good defences. i know we can be wobbly at times but at meadow lane its been generally quite calm. thank you steve and david, good luck with your season after playing us.

Match Discussion: Game 7 - The Gills (H)
i think if we can win and play well, it will lean into the belief that we could remain near the top throughout the season. its a long way for all of us, but our form has been very good and its for gillingham to prove themselves to go top or to beat us. pressure might be on us to maintain our position, but in front of meadow lane i think we would always have a good chance of doing that. i hope its a good game and gillingham fans come in numbers.

On This Day In History.
this is based solely on inflation, still sounds like a bargain.

Threads...."The most horrific, sobering thing I’ve ever seen’: BBC nuclear apocalypse film Threads 40 years on"
a teacher showed it my class in science because people were messing about, so he had us watch it. i think its a scary thought that nuclear war could be such a nightmare when you know its just a video. its hard hitting and horrible, i have also seen videos about the nuclear explosion in russia. scary stuff!

Football is a Squad Game Now.
we have a lot of players who if training right and performing well could start, but we do need to make sure the team always has the quality in all areas. i think the squad is shaping nicely, that if we can maintain players, we wont have to get rid of many at all and replacing those places should be much easier. league two does rely on you to be able to balance the squads playing time, i think part of our fall last season was due to players not being rested properly. something stuart maynard is doing well with at the moment.

"No One Can Handle Jones and Crowley at Their Best" – Mark Stallard on Notts County's Dynamic Duo
they are both players whos class can elevate the players around them and when the whole squad is one the same wave length, most teams will struggle. its encouraging how teams are finding us harder to play against, not that those 6 minutes would help my comment but the moment jodi scored the penalty it was clear that we do. i like mark stallards comments, as he speaks from the heart but comes out unbiasedly. very professional!

i have to take my car to get it checked over, so i am trying to find a garage i feel i can trust and rip me off. its just for the m.o.t but i know they try to get you to have work done which is not needed. i finished work today at 4pm, i started at 7am though. my shift times have adjusted slightly, so i am hoping to adjust to it quickly. better sort stuff out, i hope everyone is well.
