  1. very good preview, its good to see that notts got mentioned and obviously they would mention life without macca. seeing them list our defensive signings again gave me a buzz. they do look like strong signings for us.
  2. i am pleased to see the return of the opposition view, thank you to joe for taking the time to answer. it does give us notts fans a glimpse into tranmere rovers. i will be sure to keep an eye out on omari patrick and luke norris. it will be my first time to tranmere so i am very excited especially with it being the very first game of the 2024-25 season.
  3. he could have made a good signing but 23 goals in 91 appearances at the age of 27, is not the most glamourous record. i dont see these stats as important, i am just saying we could find someone more suitable. i do think the way we play, someone with a good level of finishing would thrive. i get the feeling we wont be signing another striker though, the club seems to be heavily promoting david mcgoldricks contributions in the pre season. we might be waiting to see how january looks.
  4. i was never a doubt, in all day long. ????
  5. i am pleased for bromley, as underdogs and newly promoted team i wish them all the best in league two. it was nice to watch them gain promotion, as it meant something and it really is an exciting chapter for them. the task to remain an efl club is quite large but if they continue with their team spirit and fight, i am sure they will survive the drop.
  6. i am currently on a break, catching up with the site. it's quite busy again today, but its nice that its not blistering hot. did anyone else have a thunderstorm last night? it rained quite heavily in spells, it felt nice to have a window open. most of my week day activity will be work based. ???? i am looking forward to going to tranmere with @TheSkipper and @Joshua will be taking @CliftonMagpie ticket as hes still unwell.
  7. reminds me of my school days. ???? good luck to him in retirement, if he can inspire or coach the next generation of great british talent that would be great.
  8. he does look somewhat like jack grealish, but his facial hair is very full and overgrown. @Wheelbarrow repair man: i have returned your original post and slightly amended the title, please lets not turn this into something more than it needs to be. allow it to continue without distractions and lets leave every prior be now.
  9. rest in peace, 55 is no age. my thoughts go out to his family and friends.
  10. dont worry about it, i am sure once time frees up and you have a system where you can get everything you want done. the site will be here and ready, i think i can speak for everyone when i say we are thankful for all you do.
  11. he came good for portsmouth and has really done well, i hope this does not set his career back or prevent him from playing again. the good thing is that it was caught before it became a problem. just to mention, i would have assumed he had past medical examinations and that nothing was found until now.
  12. based on who i have seen play for notts. lee hughes, kasper, macaulay langstaff and mike edwards. if i were to choose on legends, it would be much harder.
  13. @Chris spent quite a lot of time highlighting this back when nobody could say anything deemed negative towards jodi jones but its the truth. i think jj is better at defending compared to aaron nemane but its more about whoever plays at wing back should try to do the basics. try to keep in front of the ball, try to block crosses, avoid tugging on shirts, keep defensive position etc. i would like to see us start with a squad that would make us happy to face tranmere, it should be our strongest squad possible.
  14. i partly wonder if its just stuart maynard trying to get a further insight on what changes work from off the bench, the team defensively was weak but against boston it should have been a closer result. people are saying that they scored for fun against peterborough and we should have fielded our strongest team but maybe we are trying to make sure the squad as a whole is on the right level amongst the squad? there is no point having a bench of players who are not quite match fit.
  15. this past week has flown by, i have been working overtime to help reduce the workload and to make sure we can take in new pallets. amongst the training i am doing which is partly fun but also quite tiring. the heat is really starting to get to me and i dont usually complain about it. its been difficult to sleep though.
  16. his ideas will probably be all americanisation and that wont work here in the uk, scotland would be more opposed to it. i hope he does good, but i think if someone could make a team that is not known for winning things and claim to have revolutionary ideas. it would make me wonder why not a more profitable team? i really hope for inverness caledonian thistles that this is a good thing for them.
  17. this is very sad to read, rest in peace craig shakespeare.
  18. i dont talk football with my family and i avoid it with my dad, tho my uncle tends to talk good sense about notts. i see things a lot more differently to my dad, it would only lead to me getting annoyed with his complaining. ???? there have been times i have told him to go watch forest again. ????
  19. if i cant make a game, i would prefer to listen to the radio. i am not that fussed about sky sports. glad you will be able to watch games tho, @Fan of Big Tone.
  20. just to mention, thomas (clifton) has asked me to apologise as hes been unwell and is not likely to be able to pick this up until the near future.
  21. how many games do you think you will make this upcoming season? i know it might be hard with postponements to guess, but roughly it would be good to know what other members of pon might be able to make. all the home league games i should be able to make. i am hoping to complete my second season of all the away games too, but some might be difficult with work. if i cant make them all i at least hope to be around 40 games.
  22. there is not something to fight for, when points are on the line players try harder. its like meaningless cup games, we dont go out to lose but there is little drive. i am not worried about conceding two goals, you do tend to give players more time on the ball and yorks first goal was a very well placed effort. it was a good game, notts played some great stuff at times and we did not seem out of ideas when it came to creating chances.
  23. we will let derby off the hook this time, i know the result is a lure to make them believe they can do better in the league. when they struggle, we will thank you for inflating their confidence.
  24. football on saturday, it should be a good day out and i am looking forward to taking a look around before the kick off. i don't know what else i will get up to other than watching notts.
  25. the brothers took us on in our darkest time being relegated into the national league and not only did they spend money investing in the squad but they have rebuilt notts into a promising and often exciting team to watch. i am very thankful towards them for returning us to the english football league and for giving us a lot to cheer about.
