You were spot on with the score Joe.

What a match, I don't normally get too carried away at matches but that was a massive win for us.

Shaun Derry has definitely got them fired up into a battling team who play for each other.

It was also interesting to see two of the boo boys targets Enoch and Fotheringham score our goals.

I am so happy tonight. :clapping:

Did anyone notice the shove on Derry? Yes it's a little child like that he wouldn't give the ball back but their player was out of line.

I thought the referee was better, equal in odd decisions.

Haynes didn't look interested when he came on, praise to Enoch tho frustrating player but tries.

Murray looks a great player, getting involved and working his position do that he can receive a pass.

Early on I thought we missed McGregor but Grealish did well.

COYP!

How would you rate the squad?

Fair comments IMO.

I thought Fotheringham had his best game today, despite the usual silly tackles and misplaced passes around the edge of our box.

He did make a couple of probing/incisive passes, made himself available in their half and he scored. Overall, it was a solid, gutsy display with some impressive contributions all round - particularly Smith, who was outstanding, JCR, a constant threat, Fothers, busy and effective & Murray who worked his nuts off, showed some neat touches and has great mobility.

Great win. Well done Notts.

A man of the match is a very difficult decision, I agree that the official MoM Manny Smith had a great game I also think JCR was immense today, his crosses are sublime.

Enoch put a shift in but I wish he would jump for headers he was beaten in the air time and again he was there for the goal though and that's what matters, brilliant cross from JCR.

Freeman had a good return I can see why SD prefers him to Dumbaya. Murray ran his socks off, as did Jack all in all a great battling team performance.

Haynes body language was terrible as he came off at the end of the game he looked really unhappy to be there.

The incident with Derry I saw very clearly the ball went out for a throw to them, Derry picked it up and put it behind his back then let it drop on the ground, obviously to waste time, there player took exception to it and shoved him out the way, to be honest if it had been our ball and Clough had done the same we would have been aggrieved, a bit silly on Derry's part and he got a ticking off from the 4th official rightly so IMO.

What a cracking victory for us!

21st now, Derrys got the chance to push on. Good team effort, I felt each player chipped in and I agree that Murray looks a class act. He should be starting regularly now, as he gives and gives. running wide, just to make himself available. Bravo lad!

NOTTS WIN SHEFFIELD UNITED 2-1!   :frantics:  :hyper:

The game was good against Sheffield today, we eventually pulled it back.. it was even better when we scored another goal and won the game. 3 points for us again. My eldest daughter needs to go more often, they always either win or draw when she does.

Grealish is a done deal, McGregor they're sorting the terms supposedly and he's still here training with us.

Its nice to see some sort of news on this, as the bit of media didn't really mention much.

With only Colin & Yatesy to go on I don't think it's fair for me to comment on individual performances.

Go on then...

I heard you guys beat the blades today!

Shaun Derry seems to have made a huge impact, I know it is still early days but are you guys generally happy with the direction hes taking your club? The jury is still out with Moyes, I was nervous about our game today but we won.

Best of luck with the rest of your season.

He's got the majority of support now, when he first was rumoured I think the majority wanted to stay up and give the role to an experienced manager. It seems to be paying off now, he's doing wonders and there's passion back.

Also to note - the football seems better.

Hope Moyes works out, though I don't see much holding you guys back.

Grealish is no longer a done deal. Back to villa

Crap, he shouldn't have tweeted he re signed a new deal and if it doesn't happen. Poor lad :( Just noticed Twitter!

It would be a real blow to lose Grealish as well.

To be fair to them today though, no Liddle or Mac today and the team spirit dug in to get a result.

Freeman looked good again from what I've heard. It's about time we started to clear out more of the dross to allow us to sign players perm rather than on short term loans.

Long term loans are 'do-able' but we need stability more than anything now.

Well this will be Derry's first Test i guess. If we lose Jack & Mac, Mr T will have no choice but to bring in someone with quailty. There might be a revolt if he doesn't

Fantastic Game today, i was on the edge of my seat for the most of the Game.

My sentiments entirely. Winning this game without Liddle or McGregor illustrates just how far we have progressed under Derry, who continues to impress me tbh.

Handball!

I'm still laughing about that, isn't football humour great. HANDBALL!

Those who weren't there may need an explanation.

Sheffield fans shouted several times in quick succession for handball but the ref ignored them all, this prompted the Notts fans to shout handball at every opportunity, including once when a united player was trotting down the line to take a throw in as soon as he picked the ball up there was a huge shout of handball.

It was very funny but you had to be there to appreciate it.

Well the Sheffield fans believed on a couple of occasions that our players handled it in the area (arguably Showmini might have, but with no intent). The ref was having none of it and waved the game on. The Notts fans picked up on this and started to shout handball at every occasion whenever a united player touched the ball, especially for throw ins and saves from the keeper.

It probably is one of those "had to be there" moments, but I did have a chuckle when it was going on.

Oh, and even the Pavis stand joined in on the jollity!

Edit: damn, beaten to it by @tonyhateley
