Trialist for Notts : Nathan Claxton

https://nigeljameselitecoaching.com/nathan-claxton-earns-gil-vicente-professional-deal/

Seems to tick "comfortable on the ball" criteria

he looked comfortable and appeared to be a solid defender, young enough to improve and someone who may be happy to rotate/backup.

The defender did well against Forest. Hopefully, he’ll get more game time in friendlies to show his abilities.

Yes, @ARLukomski mentioned him, and I agree. I think he looked good for the time he had on the pitch. He played a calming and careful game, which was positive.

I would like to see how he does in the remaining friendlies, but he stood tall against Forest and looked comfortable.

However, if Luke Williams decided to sign him now I do think that he would add some much needed cover and pace. Plus, I can't imagine he would mind ending up on the bench more than playing, all depending on how he does of course.

He did very well; he was posing for photos after the games with fans and came across as very nice. I didn’t have mine taken with anyone, but I stood waiting with some people I know who were seeking the other team’s players. 😕

He looked superb, very comfortable on the ball and aware. His decision-making seemed promising too, as he seemed to back that up with his ability. I hope he continues to play, so we can see if it’s worth offering him a deal or not. So far, I would say it is worth it.

Based on his performance, he appeared to be a promising player. However, one appearance is not enough to make a conclusive judgment. It would be advisable for Luke Williams to give him more playing time to see if he can consistently demonstrate the potential he showed against Forest. If he continues to perform well, he should be signed.

Nathan Claxton looked like a good player. Does anyone know if he featured in the Telford United game?

I liked the look of Nathan Claxton, hopefully the club is still thinking it over but it sounds like they have a few players in mind.

Nathan Claxton looked impressive. He was one of the trialists that I thought could do a job with Notts. I am not sure if he played against Telford, but hopefully, he is still around.
