York City appoints Neal Ardley

Featured Replies

Good luck to the bloke. I think York have just been taken over, so they'll surely be aiming for bigger and better things?

@Piethagoram, are you a spy in disguise or do you just keep your ears to the ground when it comes to the football world? I didn’t think York City would appoint Neal Ardley, but I recall you calling it. Well done. It’s good to see Ardley back in management; I hope he does well with York.

Thank you @TheSkipper. What is sad, is that Ardley is no longer on lists for EFL jobs

It’s good to see Neal Ardley back in management; he should do wonders for York City. It would be nice to see them back within the Football League. I wish him well.

Always with the same smile, I am pleased he's back in management. I heard that he was taking time off to deal with something personal, but then you think everyone has bills to pay. Neal Ardley is a good manager; he made Sollihull Moors a much better team. I think he will make York City hard to beat.

Best wishes to him.

A field where dreams become reality.

I’ve got a lot of time for Neal Ardley, I thought he was always honest with us the fans during his time at Notts, I hope he brings success to York City.

Good appointment by York City, I think Neal Ardley enjoys working in the National League. He might prefer bringing a team up to speed, rather than taking charge of a league team that may struggle. You get far less time in the EFL, so working in the National League gives him more room to develop and improve the team. I can see him doing well with York and helping them reach their full potential.

i hope he has a good season with them and manages to get the club up the table, i appreciate the fact he stayed on when other managers would have walked. especially with the amount of fans that blamed him for our relegation when he was better than kevin nolan and harry kewell combined.

The appointment of Neal Ardley has been met with widespread approval. Many believe that he is the perfect candidate to revitalise their season and propel York City up the league table.

@Fan of Big Tone Yes, didn't think the combination of Ardley and Abbott worked well at all
