Posted January 30, 20241 yr #1 I'd like to highlight the benefits of following certain sections of the Pride of Nottingham website. This is a simple way to stay updated on content that interests you, while also keeping track of your favourite parts and members of our site. It requires a bit of time, but it's definitely worth it, and I'd appreciate it if members could spare a moment to do this. Our community is expanding every month, and everyone has their own preferred method. However, this underused feature makes it easier to stay engaged. You can even opt to receive grouped email notifications instead of individual ones. Please take a moment to read the below post, as I will list some important areas.
January 30, 20241 yr Author #2 The follow button is the same in all locations, so you can refine it to your own preference. Just make sure that you choose the right settings; at a later date you can change it. January 30, 20241 yr #3 I understood the significance when it was brought up in the context of the Prediction League. When I began my blog, I requested members to follow it before I posted anything. I noticed that I received more responses during quieter periods because of this. We need to emphasise the importance of the follow feature. It’s quite useful and members can adjust it to suit their preferences. It’s very convenient.
January 30, 20241 yr #4 I admit that I should use the follow function more than I currently do. I believe raising awareness about it is crucial, and I hope others start using it more. I need to ensure that I follow all the active contributors, as I want to support their work.
January 30, 20241 yr #5 I've been lurking for a while, but this nudged me to finally participate actively. Following the ‘Jimmy Sirrel Stand’ forum has been enlightening. Hats off for urging us to utilise this, it will make the fan experience more enjoyable, and I’m here for it.
January 30, 20241 yr #6 Cheers for the heads-up, @Chris! Just tuned my settings to keep tabs on members. Handy feature, this.
January 30, 20241 yr #7 I’ve found a handy function that’s made a big difference for me. Now, keeping up with discussions is a breeze. The updates come straight to my inbox, so I’m always in the know without having to dig through the forums. I never realised how much time this could save.
January 30, 20241 yr #8 This is spot on, Chris. I will start following the areas of the site and I hope it remarkably streamlines my experience. Being part of the conversation right when it happens is terrific, always fresh, always engaging. Secondly, the grouped email notifications should help to avoid the clutter in my inbox and yet keeps me connected. I reckon others should give it a try, customizing the settings is dead simple, and it’s made me feel more a part of our community than ever before.
January 31, 20241 yr #9 its something i must remember to do, because its useful and i think prompts like this are a good reminder of how important it is. it really does enable the community to be proactive.
February 7, 20241 yr #10 I admit I've been dedicating extra time to the small details, enhancing the overall user experience. I should reassess my profile, but the follow function is a fantastic feature for receiving content updates.
February 21, 20241 yr #11 Once I’m done with my current posts, I’ll make a point to follow some members whose comments I find enjoyable, as well as take the time to follow certain parts of the site. I think it’s worth noting that I’ll actively browse and not just wait for information to come to me. There’s a lot more pleasure to be had from digging in and exploring - that’s how you discover new things you haven’t seen before. But the follow function is equally important.
June 10, 2024Jun 10 Author #13 I still very much encourage members to get the follow count up for every area of the site which they're interested in. You can narrow down how you are notified and even have emails notifications grouped. You can do the same for your favourite posters, so you never miss what they post here. ????
