Notts have to settle for a draw against Bromley after leading twice with two goals from Matt Dennis.

It was a game of two halves with Notts on the ascendancy in the first half, & Bromley better in the second half.

So who do you think should get the PON Man of the Match award for Notts? I have chosen the starting eleven for you all to make that choice.

The starting 11 are.

Roos, McDonald, Aljofree, Bedeau, Norburn, Jones, Iorpenda, Palmer Dennis, Tsaroula, Cotter.

Don't think there's any need to overthink this one - Matty Dennis.

Running him close I think is Matty Palmer. We have enough evidence now to know it's a different player than the recovering MP we saw last season. I thought he was great, popped up everywhere. Shout out too to Iorpenda - IMO his best game so far this season.

Only one player deserves the Notts Man of the Match award & that is Matt Dennis for a great performance today as a lone striker.

There is a real player there in Matt Dennis. Scores a great individual goal and then scores a great header against Bromley of all teams, that in itself deserves the man of the match award!

Palmer for me

But #Notts have signed him permanently 🤣

Matt Dennis has taken an early lead for the Man of the Match award. Who is your Man of the Match? Still time to get your vote in.

Jodi Jones had a good game, and I don’t think he needed to come off. Still, I get that it was probably to keep him safe and avoid any risk. Matt Palmer did well too, kept things tidy and worked hard. But it was Matthew Dennis who really stood out with that first goal. It was a brilliant strike and I thought it was top class.

I am voting for Matthew Dennis based on his performance and not solely due to the two goals he scored. Although the first was one hell of a solo run, and I can see why Notts wanted him so much. He's already off to a flying start, and I hope it continues. I thought he was exceptional, and alongside Jodi Jones and Matt Palmer, thought the team gave a good account of itself. The subs regrettably left us feeling sluggish.

I'm voting for Matthew Dennis. As I said before, his movement and overall performance were excellent. I think he truly deserves Man of the Match. He worked hard and made a real impact. I'm pleased the match sponsors picked the right player. Now it's our chance as fans to do the same.

Matthew Dennis was superb. It was great to see him play the full match, as it gave him a real chance to get his first hat-trick. He had a few good tries at making it happen, and it would have been a special moment.

The team played much better overall. But we should keep in mind that Bromley are well organised, and some of our changes meant the stronger players went off early.

Nick Tsaroulla, Jodi Jones and Barry Cotter all did well. Dennis stood out above the rest, though. We lost a bit of drive after Martin Paterson made his substitutions.

If you have any problems or concerns, feel free to send me a private message (PM). Always happy to help!
Please note: I’ll do my best to help, but some issues may need passing on.

If Nick Tsaroulla had stayed on, I think he would have been a strong choice for my vote. He was excellent and handled a tall Bromley side really well. I’ve voted for Matthew Dennis because I believe he deserves it. He made a big impact and stood out across the match.

If Nick had played longer, I think I would have weighed up both performances more closely. It would have been a tough call between the two.

Like the majority before me, I have voted for Matthew Dennis.

It's good to see some other players being voted for, as it does show a different opinion, even though Dennis is highly likely to win. I do like reading other fans thoughts on who they feel deserves it.

"Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value."

I think the wrong Matthew might win this time. I really liked how Matt Palmer played, and he’s been really good for Notts all season. He’s helped us get better after the rough start, so I’m not too worried now.

Matthew Dennis was great too, and he did some really cool stuff. But Palmer was amazing the whole match, and I think he should get more credit.

Matt Palmer and Matthew Dennis are the two I’d pick from, no doubt about it. They both played really well, but I’d go with Palmer every time.

He doesn’t get the credit he deserves, and that’s been true for ages. Now he’s the captain, it feels even more unfair that people don’t talk about him more.

I like the way Matt Palmer passes the ball to another player and then follows it, ready to receive a pass if the player is closed down. That worked well on Saturday. There were a few times he received the ball back and was in acres of space as result to run forward with the ball.

It’s always nice to see who people vote for, even if I don’t agree with the choice. Everyone sees the game a bit differently, and that’s part of the fun. Matthew Dennis gave it a good go, and I respect the work he put in. I’d be happy to say well done to him for being named Pride of Nottingham’s Man of the Match.

The vote was very close in the end, I agree with those posters who said that Palmer doesn’t get the credit he deserves both Matt’s did well but I think Dennis just shaded it. Congratulations to both players.

It began with strong support for Matthew Dennis but soon shifted, drawing votes toward Matt Palmer. There was a point when there was only a 2-vote difference between the pair, but Dennis started to gain more ground as he got to 30 votes.

Congratulations to Matthew Dennis; I am pleased he's earned the fans' vote and been named the Pride of Nottingham's MOTM.

Thank you to all who voted; please do continue, as it's brilliant to see which players get recognised and even if your vote doesn't end up winning. You voted for the player that you felt deserved it, which is encouraging for that player.
