Mark Stallard - Exclusive Interview

As a young lad who grew up watching Mark Stallard play for Notts, this interview was probably the highlight of the day. I am glad that @Joe Jones did the talking, as I would have sounded like a very excited school girl! LOL

Here's our interview with Mark, enjoy folks!

I managed to suppress any star-strike (starstruckness? starstruckedness?) while doing the actual interview, but watching this back now, it just feels so surreal. This was Mark Stallard in front of me, an absolute legend of mine! Needless to say I'm very proud of how it went.

this is gold! pleased to see mark, good player. i dont recall watching him, think he was before my time but i know people who highly rate him. theres a bloke who lives three houses down from my mum, hes been a fan for over 70 + years. he always goes on about players like mark!

his answers are spot on, you can tell he was a pro.

I once read that he felt "Derby" introduced him to football, that without the club showing interest he probably wouldn't have gotten into football. He played over 30 games for the rams (including cup games), yet enjoyed the best spell in his career with us. He's a lower league legend that fans like myself can look up to!

The level of respect he gave us yesterday, tells what type of a person Mark is.

In truth everyone we spoke to was brilliant.

Well done again. A great interview and an interesting one too. I don't know the players myself as i didn't follow football when i was younger. Very professional.

This is brilliant well done to all concerned.

Mark is one of my all time favourite Notts players, it makes me realise how old I am when I read others saying Mark was before their time, to me he is a more recent player.

Sorry, I meant to respond yesterday. I thought this was class, he clearly enjoyed it and for a player like Stallard to give his time not only to do charity work and a interview at the end is really good to see.

Well Done!

Brilliant interview, well done to the pair of you.

I'll never forget when we played Peterborough at London Road on a Tuesday night I think, he missed from literally three yards!! Everyone in the ground thought as the ball was played across to him that we had taken the lead (if memory serves me right) then he put it wide!!

Top bloke, top player for Notts and a strangely exact 1 in 3 goal ratio
