Notts County have completed the loan signing of Derby County winger Alefe Santos on an initial one-month youth loan deal.

Santos was in action for Derby in their Under-21 Cup match against Sunderland at St George’s Park on Thursday evening and Notts County Manager Shaun Derry was in attendance to see him score the winner in a penalty shoot-out.

The Brazilian-born winger signed a two-year deal with Derby in the summer, after catching the eye at former club Bristol Rovers.

Hmm, interesting one. Another raw talent - could be a potential star but this is a tough League to risk finding out!

Wait & see, hope for the best. Good luck to him and welcome aboard Alefe.

@super_ram any good?

Don't know too much about him @PTID1862.I know he began his career at Stoke but joined Bristol Rovers and played 20 odd games for them the season they were relegated to the conference scoring once.He signed for the Rams last summer although Hull and other clubs were after him.He's been a regular in our under 21 side and scored the winning goal in the penalty shoot out against Sunderland this week.He replaced Johnny Russell for the last 2o minutes in our 1-0 win against Charlton in the Capital One cup last August..I remember listening to the match and as far as I recall he did OK. without standing out.Obviously his first team chances at Derby are very limited.One for the future  maybe? I hope he does well at Notts

Thanks @super_ram. Derry seems to have a good eye for youth players so hopefully he comes here does well and goes back to you and performs like Grealish and McGregor have been.

Ok, so having watched that, I don't see a lot wrong with him, not afraid to track back, put his foot in, ok some of the balls were made to look wayward, but I think that was more the fact that the others weren't going for the space, which is always where he seemed to stick the ball.

How did he get on today?

I had trouble with my portable dab radio, it cut out for the majority of the second half. Spent the day with the children, had a nice family day out. I think if I had have gone I'd feel more miserable than I do now, really need to find some sort of balance because I feel like bouncing of the walls.

Yes,how did he do?

Yes he did, I'd start him on Saturday. He reminded me of Thomas Ince the way he moved and got the ball and ran down the line at people.
